😢Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😢😢

Toxic marketing... They only care about selling more and more of their products.... Not thinking a bit about its employees or its customers emotions.... Lives of children are on stake why ? Just a mere marketing. To sell more. To earn more. Toxic.
It's not that we don't "learn". It's that some schools are just there to earn money. If given proper attention, the below average students will be able to learn just as good as the toppers. I've had some teachers who gave the toppers extremely good care and acted very sweet to them. While teaching the average range students or below average students they acted like the students were torturing them even tho they remained silent for the entire class. Some students won't study at all and I know that but there's some fault in the educational system as well.

The girl asked "If not mining mica what would you be doing today?" and the kids answered that they would be hungry. Normal kids would've answered "in school" or "playing" but that thought didn't even cross their minds just shows the weight and reality of the situation they're in.
I thought the same thing to myself. It didn’t even cross her mind to say ‘we’d be playing’ or anything else. She just knows that if she doesn’t work she’ll be hungry. It’s so sad.
I guess I'm just one of the different ones I live here in the United states myself, I grew up extremely poor and I was mentally, physically and sexually abused, I starved a lot growing up and was homeless. It was horrific but I overcame everything I'm a wonderful mother and wife, you can't let certain things, hold you back, no matter what happens in your life, these children are so sad and now I'm gonna be extremely mindful about everything that I use, but they're not starving to death. I know that sounds horrible, but I know what it feels like to starve it's incredibly painful until you don't feel it anymore. So even though I'm praying for these kids, and I don't want any of them to get hurt, I understand why it's happening oh it's wrong, no doubt, absolutely wrong, but at least they're not starving to death, and something needs to be done. The irony here is that most of these kids are enrolled in government schools but their parents force them to work in mines instead of studying. The Indian government provides free education to children up to the tenth grade with free mid-day meals. The uniform, books and other facilities are all free. But these kids are enrolled in schools just to collect the amount the government gives each time a child passes a year.

"If we don't mine Mica, how will I put food on the table?" That's so sad that an 11 year old said that of all people. Instead of worrying about tea/drama we need to get a organization to help and protect these children and their families.
Madison Bynum : Organizations will not fix the problem. Red Cross, UNICEF, international rescue, and more have been around for long but they rarely solve the problems. There needs to be revolution in those country that can overthrow the corruption within the government. Lives will be lost but that’s the sacrifice needed to get a country to its goal.
We -- the consumers -- are the "organization." The issue is there because of our purchase decisions. It's a simple case of supply and demand. Companies truly listen to us by the choices we make and choose Not to make. If a product isn't selling, or if there's a build up in consumer disapproval about a product companies will make a positive change to increase their bottom line and restore their favorable image to their consumers. Only when we stand up and demand a change for ethics to be properly taken into account is when our voice is heard and action is taken to help those in need.

Instead of promoting the met gala where people spend expensive outfits to wear for just one day, they should gather ideas in how to changes this madness, to use their platform and have people around the world pay attention.
Natalia Williams, “The Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City.” That’s what I researched. Where does this fundraising go to? Who are they helping? My point is that society is literally paying attention to what they’re wearing, if you search met gala on RUclips, we see how many people are literally making videos, judging what celebrities wore instead of focusing on actually important things happening in society because it’s the only thing we are taught to focus on. We look up to these people no matter who they are, and what they do. Companies should get involved and provide better wages and make sure these people have better work conditions, not just go to another source leaving all these people without money.
The crazy thing is, these makeup companies charge so much for makeup, only to send influencers on expensive trips for marketing. If you can’t afford to feed yourself, you’re not gonna want to feed an extra mouth but with no birth control or proper sex education, what can they do? It’s more the governments fault then the parents.
You're missing the bigger picture, Mica is used in a wide range of product including electronics. Social movements have a bad habit of narrowing the focus and losing the forest through the trees.
Mikaela Antonia Diaz Añago If the government got involved and set up a structure, so that it was safe and ethical, where only adults worked there. With the correct tools e.t.c It would take that community out of poverty. With the money they all would have a better standard of living and the children would go to school.
That's not the solution. If the industry stops using mica as a whole, then this villages would not even have the option of using Mica as an income source resulting in even more poverty. The solution will come from strict regulations and a fair trade between the villages and the consumers.
It is always the case with industry. Somebody or the nature is suffering. In this case the nature is actually not suffering as much as in heavy mining so this is better for the nature. It is just that the working conditions are dangerous and the work force is way too young to understand the risks.
If mica is their only way to survive in their remote area, and it is no longer in high demand, how will they survive? This breaks my heart, there needs to be a company that offers these families a real and practical alternative way to make money to eat and live. And let the children be just that, children who are protected and safe.
The saddest thing being the government doesn't do anything about it. The Indian Constitution LITERALLY has a constitutional right which goes against exploitation like this. But apparently, they couldn't give a fuck and instead be power hungry whilst their people remain HUNGRY.

I just watched another video on how important the color of your skin is to your success in India. You would think that helping children with education will elevate them out of poverty. Yet it's their skin color that is the ultimate barrier because they won't be hired. I am so glad you bought this to light as it isn’t well known. Cruelty free should mean animals and people. It is awful these young children (and even adults) being exploited by corporations.
Mica isn't just used in makeup. It's used in many everyday things that pretty much everyone uses: Uses of Ground Mica Ground mica is used in gypsum wallboard as a wadding to remove its imperfections and enhance its work ability. It is used in paints to improve their quality and add shine. It is added to plastic products to strengthen their mechanical properties. It is added to rubber products like tires, as it can serve as an anti-sticking agent. Ground mica is added to make-up products like eyeliners, mascara, nail polish, lipstick, foundation, etc., as it can lend them luster. Uses of Sheet Mica Mica can be beaten into thin sheets. These sheets are useful in electrical appliances because of their dielectric, insulating, and heat-tolerating properties. They are used in: heating appliances like hot plates, soldering irons, etc. control devices like regulators, resistance boxes, pyrometers, etc. lighting equipment like neon lights, incandescent lamps, etc. This isn't just a makeup issue. It's everybody's issue.
I agree but the headline about makeup gets more clicks. Could you imagine if the headline mentioned rubber. I don't think it would have the same impact.
It's the automotive industry. Makeup companies have shown support and interest, but so far, notone automotive company... I guess no one cares about where car paint and parts come from...

Same goes with cocoa farmers. Most of them don't even know what Chocolate tastes like. They get low wages as well. The world is so corrupted.
🤣🤣🤣 do you know what “fair trade” coffee workers make 🤣🤣🤣 like a couple bucks for a giant bag of beans that have to be hand picked, soaked, dried, and bagged!!! All these workers in poor countries make jack squat! Heck even look at factories like the apple factory in China.. not just there but in Australia I met Europeans on gap year that we’re doing hard labor for things like banana farms and they were not nearly paid enough! And that’s a first world where the supposed minimum wage is fairly high- but farms don’t have to comply
Don't know about countries but India has a serious corruption issue like this in every state.
I finally understand what fairtrade is actually about, and what fights!!!

@Kashif no
It's not that we don't "learn".

They have this amazing platform where their fans will actually listen.

I really had no idea this was a problem in the world. It disgusting how big companies will shamelessly exploit poor children. This is such an important video.
+anettemiltoft We're so glad you think so!
Anette Miltoft it’s not the big companies. It’s the middlemen between the children and the big companies that exploit the children just like in coffee bean harvesting. But nobody goes after the middlemen to pressure them to pay more to the children because these reporters are cowardly!
Also government in india should be doing more
@@elsagrace3893 Companies know. Government closed down these mines due to environmental reason and that lead to illegal mining and children sent to mine. Somehow we export a lot more mica than the official legal mica mining. Government is not getting revenue from this mining. So yeah international companies must have a good idea that they are taking more mica than government sanctions and from whom they are buying it.

So true. It's normal for people to complain about studying and school, everyone does that. But someone else out there wishes they can be in our position rather than being in child labour.

Woah, this is a truly insightful report, some food for thought. When I was a small kid, I used to collect mica pieces as a hobby. Those poor children who are in the mines for this 😢
Th way the girl talked, her voice was full of the pain she suffered at such a young age. I felt that

It is not their responsability that's true but if you're on their position you'll probably also going to do the same such as robbers, most of them just rob not because they're evil..no, they are doing that because of their family, they're literally going to starve, like what will you do if you're on that kind of position? You're obviously going to be desperate.
@@MasMaszu2 Why should young kids do the work?? Of course when someone is desperate, they can do anything. But in this situation, these young kids are doing labor work the ADULTS should do, not them. It's unsafe and it's illegal as they said in the video.

Hi bro
Actually I bet a lot of kids in especially western countries would rather work in such mines than keep going to their own schools.
Yes, it is shocking idea, but I seriously doubt any of those mining children want to end their lives like their fellow kids trapped in physical and mental circle of torture elsewhere, which some people also call schooling.

Uchiba Uki Unfortunately, in poor countries, birth control is a luxury that only the rich can afford. If you can’t afford to feed yourself, you’re not gonna want to feed an extra mouth but with no birth control or proper sex education, what can they do? It’s more the governments fault then the parents.
People should definitely avoid a shimmering glow on their face and choose a shimmering glow on childrens smiles.
@@clairem3323 True, cause people will not give up shimmer or satin for exclusively matte, so that's the only way. Tight regulations on that industry.
You are all missing the picture. This work gives them money! U heard them, if they didnt work they would go hungry!
These beautiful babies deserve so much more than this, as do their parents. 💔
Every Make-up RUclipsr needs to watch this.
It is always the case with industry. Somebody or the nature is suffering.
In this case the nature is actually not suffering as much as in heavy mining so this is better for the nature. It is just that the working conditions are dangerous and the work force is way too young to understand the risks.
They wouldn't care, why would they? It doesn't affect them, they can spout anything they want but would not do anything.
They need to start endorsing cruelty free products

If mica is their only way to survive in their remote area, and it is no longer in high demand, how will they survive? This breaks my heart, there needs to be a company that offers these families a real and practical alternative way to make money to eat and live. And let the children be just that, children who are protected and safe.

Your right... life can be so cruel
The saddest thing being the government doesn't do anything about it. The Indian Constitution LITERALLY has a constitutional right which goes against exploitation like this. But apparently, they couldn't give a fuck and instead be power hungry whilst their people remain HUNGRY.
I started reading about these mines when i started teaching myself about making safe soap for my daughters to use when i realized nearly everything on the shelf at the store has horrific ingredients..I realized early on that my future soaps may not be the prettiest, but they also will not have any chance of ingredients that kids died for anywhere in the world. This would be a great cause to try to help out with if i ever do make some money at it. If not at least i know what my kids put on their body is safe and 100% cruelty free and that will be good enough for me.
Hey I was reading this comment and I was wondering, what do u do for shampoo and conditioner? I was wanting to make my own soap as well but idk what to do for my hair.

I just watched another video on how important the color of your skin is to your success in India. You would think that helping children with education will elevate them out of poverty. Yet it's their skin color that is the ultimate barrier because they won't be hired. It was stunning to hear a young girl say, "I have the right education, grades, attire, but I will not be a good representative of the company," i.e. I am too dark. These children will never have a real chance in this country.

I am so glad you bought this to light as it isn’t well known. Cruelty free should mean animals and people. It is awful these young children (and even adults) being exploited by corporations.
Mica isn't just used in makeup. It's used in many everyday things that pretty much everyone uses:
Uses of Ground Mica
Ground mica is used in gypsum wallboard as a wadding to remove its imperfections and enhance its work ability.
Uses of Sheet Mica
Mica can be beaten into thin sheets. These sheets are useful in electrical appliances because of their dielectric, insulating, and heat-tolerating properties. They are used in:
heating appliances like hot plates, soldering irons, etc.
control devices like regulators, resistance boxes, pyrometers, etc.
lighting equipment like neon lights, incandescent lamps, etc.
This isn't just a makeup issue. It's everybody's issue.
I agree but the headline about makeup gets more clicks. Could you imagine if the headline mentioned rubber. I don't think it would have the same impact.
