Hey Dan, if you like slay the spire and balatro and are curious about other deckbuilding roguelikes, might I suggest Inscryption? It's a phenomenal game through and through, but I would recommend going in as blind as possible

@10:44 Wave Flourish was still a bit better there since +4 is about a 4.8% buff relative to 84. Just marginally better, but buffing shameless after would have squeezed out a bit more damage, provided Wave Flourish's next buff was 3 or less.
The way I math'd that moment out in my head super quick was I took 10% of 84, then I do whatever math is needed to get the comparison. So that would be 8.4 cut in half to get 5%, which is 4.2, and compared to the +4, that's still a better buff than a +4%, which would be +3.34.
Idk how rounding works kn this game, but even if there's a flat round up or down applied to all numbers, it's still better to buff Flourish

Shameless is much better still because it's global damage, meaning it affected the Poseidon Waves, the Special, and Scorch, plus it was doubled to 8% damage increase because he was at 80% health or more, which is the amount of health he stayed on until the very end there.

If anyone knows the 14 Fear being used I would be grateful :) Obv theres a bunch in the timer but besides that I'd love to know. Haelian I hope you release a speed running guide of this game at some point :D Probably at this point waiting for full access as I know you have a much older one.

I used double Frenzy, 1 Shadow and the timer. Shadow makes that one miniboss in Erebus faster if you get it because it won't spawn adds that you have to kill. Frenzy makes enemies spawn faster, most runners only use 1 though because enemies also tend to run away from you.
I do have a mildly outdated video as you said but it does still explain the basics of speedrunning the game, some of the meta strategies/builds have changed though. I'll probably be waiting till 1.0 or at least 1 more major update before redoing it. ruclips.net/video/NWnRdwWINGA/видео.html

@@Haelian Thank you kindly :) I've watched this and a heap of your Hades 1 ones a few years ago when I played that game religiously. I'm fairly alright, a few sub 8 min finishes (underground) on my better weapons but I know I likely have an unoptimal setup. Looking forward to full release and whatever content you put out for meta/fear/card set up then :D
