Горжусь,что моя Родина, СССР дала таких сыновей.Нет страны,нет таких артистов.
Российская империя. И Ойстрах и Хейфец родились в Российской империи. Коган родился в СССР. Вся школа зародилась во времена Российской империи. 19 век золотой век для России как в литературе, так и в музыке. Кое-что по инерции было и в 20-м. Прокофьев, Рахманинов, Стравинский, Шостакович, Свиридов, Хачатурян. Ну и прекрасные кино/песенные композиторы родившиеся уже в СССР. Но вся инерция из 19 века.Без Чайковского никого из них бы не было. Что касается исполнительского мастерства, то до сих пор есть чем гордится. К счастью не всё профукали.

Sehr wertvolle Aufnahme der fantastischen live Aufführung! Oistrakh spielt seine unvergleichliche Violine echt künstlerisch mit perfekter Kontrolle aller Töne. Roshdestwenski dirigiet das ganz ausgezeichnete Orchester im idealen Tempo mit seidigen Töne aller Streicher und milden Töne aller Holzbläser. Die zusätzlichen zwei Meisterstücke sind auch wunderschön gespiert. Einfach wunderbar!

Oistrakh proved once again, should any proof be needed, that he was one of the brightest stars of the XX century violin, and perhaps unsurpassed in the Russian soul and melody of Tchaikovsky violin concerto. His unchained romanticism and technical perfection and depth of his grasping of the tragic and sentimental Russian soul, the depth of the Russian suffering, the beauty of his music, all made this rendering an unforgettable one.

Unbelievable. I’ve heard a bunch of different amazing violinists play this, but this is my favorite. I love love love how he takes his time in the 10:50 to 13:50 part. Others rush it. He gets all the juice out of that gorgeous lemon.

Start crying now. Heifetz is supremely beautiful, too - just in a different way. Thank you for the posts. It's a shame that these older artists are not being experienced, via Utewb, by so many searchers now -- who same to click readily on modern, 'big'name' (and western) orchestras and soloists, to the extent that U/t postings come up readily for them, thus adding to the ever-diminishing cycle of limited experience. Ah well . . .

Diese beherzte Leichtfüßigkeit in einer Zeit , von der man den Schwermut aus dem Orchester hört , berührt so stark. Daß ich kaum einen anderen Interpreten neben David Oistreich dulde.

I think it was enough for him to be Oistrakh.
'Apples and oranges'. They both, in their different ways, brought supreme beauty and artistry to their work - there for all of us who are interested, now, through technology, for ever more.
Different tastes. I think Heifetz played parts of this far too fast. This, to me, captures the spirit of the piece better than anyone else I’ve heard.
@@2triangles Both versions of this are brilliant, of course, but to me Oistrakh OWNS the second movement, and always will.
They are both great, but for me Oistrakh has another dimension, and is very instructive to hear and see him…and I agree that it was enough for him to be Oistrakh!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
