Enjoy~

I did it, guys... I MADE THE CAKE!!! And the most satisfying part was learning that pomegranates actually make that sound when you break them into a bowl...

@@chenaniahsalonga5391 thanks! I don't know what variety I got, although I imagine there are different kinds the same way there are many varieties of apples. I just got them at my local grocery store, I bought 3 of them, although I only used 2 in the recipe. They can be very sweet and they have a pleasant flavor, similar to cherries and grapes in my opinion. (Not exactly but thats the closest thing I can compare it to). The only reason people tend not to like them is because of the seeds. Theyre full of antioxidants and really good for you so i always eat them, but my dad hates them and spits them out. Hope that answers your question! Good luck!!

Hi, just wanted to share that I made the cake for my mom's birthday today 🥰 the cheesecake was perfect, and everyone loved it!
For the peach flavoured drink I used a Fizzy drink (peach flavoured ofc) from San Benedetto (italian brand).
For the pink-ish colour of the cake and decorative cream I added a bit of colourant because I had a differente kind of pomegranate :)
Instead of lotus cookies I used digestive cookies, but I had to add more butter because it wasn't enough for the kind of biscuits I used. Other than that, everything was perfect :)

What's amazing about your channel is the amount of creativity, patience, and thought you put into all of your desserts. It's one thing to bake a cake, but you take it to the next level with how you decorate/design your cakes. Like putting the seeds in the cake with gelatin is already amazing enough, but then you decide to change the size of the gelatin portion. Like you really do take it to the next level. Not only your cake making skills but also your videography is always on point.

This brings back memories of grade school. We had a pomegranate tree in our playground and when there was fruit on the tree a teacher would take one down and break it into chunks and give them to kids. The condition for getting a chunk of pomegranate was that you had to give some to anyone who asked. I went to a really small school with probably 200ish students, and the yard with the pomegranate tree was only used by kids grade 1-6, so there wasn’t too much fighting over them. Any kid who got a chunk of pomegranate became very popular for those 30 minutes of recess.

Love, love, love this cake. I've made it three times so far, and it's become a family favourite. I substitute mascarpone cheese for the regular cream cheese. The only issue is that my cheesecake batter never comes out as runny as this and has more air, which creates a risk for air pockets here and there. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the cheese or if I'm whipping the heavy cream too much. Nevertheless, it's just delicious. The Biscoff Lotus cookies make an incredible crust, too.

Hi Areej :) hope you can answer me even if im a bit late. What drink did you use instead of the peach flavoured one? And the 80grams of pomegranate for the gelatin: did you use the ones that you boiled before?

    • @AreejObeid
      @AreejObeid 3 года назад +2

Gaia Careddu I was actually able to find a powdered peach flavoured drink at my local Asian market. If you can’t find that, you could try a peach flavoured tea. That’s what I used the first time.
The 80 grams of pomegranate seeds are separate from the ones you boil.
