So if i shrink one of the partitions and try to install Chrome os on that partition (dual boot) then is it going to format my entire Hard drive? instead of writing 'sdb', open gparted and select your hdd, then look at the partitions. find the one you want to install it to (e.g. sda1, sda2, sda3, sda4) and write that instead of sdb in this video.

In linux mint terminal you need to mount the hard drive first. by typing: "sudo mount dev/sd#" the # are based on your harddrive location by looking up "sudo lsblk"

samus is for 3rd ans less generation of cpu, and the version of chrome os for 4th-9th generation cpu uis rammus :)

It was a hardware conflict. I switched to iGPU, and I am in business. My HD 7770 isn’t compatible with Chrome OS.
