  • Crochet cardigan tutorial.
    Hey everyone. To make this cardigan you will need about 400g for sizes xs/s of any weight 4 yarn ( I used an acrylic/wool blend but I imagine a cotton yarn to look beautiful too. I also used a 6mm crochet hook.

    Made this for my mom for Mother’s Day! Thank you so much. Love it. Easy to follow instructions and the videos are perfect. I did attach the pieces differently though. I used your method of sewing the top seam, then attaching the sleeves, and lastly sewing the inside.

    I made this cardigan in weight 4 in a color called medium purple; not sure if I’m allowed to say the company name but I can say it turned out beautifully! I also made a matching head warmer. This is the second sweater that I made (ever) - and both from your tutorials. Many thanks for great and simple instructions.

    I love this pattern it's pretty and so simple to do ..... after single crocheting a piece together, are you turning it inside out or right side out , how ever you want to say it , in other words are you putting the single crochet seam on the inside of the sweater or just leaving as is?

    Xs and just change hook to a sz5mm ?
    Would that work?

    • @HeyCarrieCrochet
      @HeyCarrieCrochet  5 лет назад +6

      You can try measuring your child’s from shoulder to shoulder. Whatever number of inches you get add an additional 3-4 inches. Then make your chain that length but keep your chain number in multiples of 6 plus and additional 4. This will create the width of your back panel. Then when you make the front panels half the number of chains you needed for the back but keep the chain in multiples of 6 plus 4. Hope this makes sense

    • @deborahgauvin44
      @deborahgauvin44 5 лет назад +1

      There are 4 dc in the 'clusters. Your dc, ch1, dc go in the 2nd and third stitches. The 2 without the chain 1 between them.

    What kind of yarn should be used

  • @aileenmalek4678
    @aileenmalek4678 4 года назад

    I'm currently making this but I had an issue with the written pattern. It's not the same as in the video. I had to rewrite the pattern in order to fit what was being shown in the video. The two dc, one in each stitch (which would form a cluster of sorts) is not defined in the pattern. I think the arms should be made before you piece everything together to give you a more accurate measurement for the arm holes. Other wise than that it is a lovely pattern.

I now have unfinished cardigan that will never get completed

    • @HeyCarrieCrochet
      @HeyCarrieCrochet  5 лет назад

      If it’s easier for you, you can just sew with a needle. But if you want to single crochet them to the top just fold your sleeve in half length wise and single crochet or sew the side closed. Then with the seam of the sleeves facing downwards attach the sleeve to the top. Hope this helps you.
