    I am an experienced (but not expert...) crocheter. I’ve been crocheting 45+ years, but only started making garments about 2years ago. I really enjoyed your tutorial. Your pacing was terrific. So often (in other videos),I feel like I’m racing to catch up. If I feel that way, I can imagine how newbies feel. On the other hand, some tutorials are trying to teach basic stitches at the same time, thus putting those of us with a bit of experience to sleep. Your pace was great, your voice very relaxing but not hypnotizing! I started 2 of the same hexagon sweaters, but I think I’m going to make your cocoon instead. I’m still wearing the first one I ever made, but I’ve lost 30 pounds, so it’s time for a new one!! Thank you!

    Very pretty! It is so fashionable. I’ve only seen a few that are as stylish. I have crocheted 45+ years and I live how you told the viewers not to worry about sewing I it perfectly. We get so caught up in doing it perfectly that we don’t relax and enjoy crocheting. It’s supposed to be fun!! Thank you!

      @@amberwitcombe4637 Hi I made xxl UK 30..... I used 100g Aran wool x8 balls.....So in total 800g of aran wool... Give me a couple of days will post measurements.....Hope this helps for now....

    • @theeduchess4948
      @theeduchess4948 2 года назад +2

      @@amberwitcombe4637 Hi I'm back home now..... My measurements are .....
      1. Width 60 inches
      2. Length 40 inches (you can do length of your choice but I wanted to cover my whole bum to mid thigh)
      3. Border 2 inches (3 rows dc.... 2 rows hdc.... finished with 1 row sc)
      4. 8 x 100g Aran wool
      As I mentioned before this measurement is approximately size 30 UK it's very large and loose because I wanted it to cover my belly and bum...... So if you want smaller decrease my measurements by 2 inches for each dress size..... Example
      58 inches - size 28
      56 inches - size 26
      54 inches - size 24
      Or just make the chain and wrap it around you until you get to your desired width....And as you crochet rows measure length against your body...
      Hope this helps!!

    I love your tutorial! You earned a subscriber. I made my cocoon cardigan using Red Heart brand yarn in the colorway of Blacklight, #4 worsted weight, using a 5.75mm J size hook. I used 3 skeins of yarn 5.3 ounces each. I made the initial granny square 35 rows as I am tall at 5'9" and have wide shoulders. I made my sleeves very long and did a chain of 40 stitches and did 22 rows just like you did. Your instructions were very clear about how to sew together and do the sleeves as well! Thank you very much for making such a great tutorial!!!

    I am an experienced crocheter, 50+ yrs, can do any stitch shown, but on some bigger projects, sometimes I just want EASY!! This is lovely, and I plan on making it. I’ve watched several of your shrugs, all are so ni sand easy to follow, as thus one us. I like the longer cuffs. It might be nice to two tone it w/ a different color on the cuffs and trim, and do a bit at the collar, a row of regular singular single crochet and a row of reverse single crochet to hive it demotion. Just sone ideas I thought of…. Red would go nice w/ this grey. .

    Hi Silvia!
    I have #3 light Mandala yarn. Can I use this for the project? What size hook should I use? I’m very confused because I don’t really know how much difference there is between 3 weight and 4 weight. I can make extra rows if needed, but I don’t know if the difference in weight will mess up the cocoon.
    Thanks 😁

    • @Uniquestitchdesigns
      @Uniquestitchdesigns  2 года назад

      The higher the number the thicker the yarn is....also the thicker the yarn use bogger hook .....but it should always say on the yarn label what hook to use .. you can use any yarn ....but maybe too thin #3 ... . Create a large square 1 x 1 m .......
