    I am a beginner and have tried to follow many video tutorials, but I end up frustrated and confused. This lady is excellent at explaining and demonstrating every step clearly. I was able to follow this tutorial with confidence. This is my first ever wearable project. I am pleased with the results. The lady's voice is clear and understandable. I have now subscribed to the channel and will be returning to make other items demonstrated by this lady in the future. 💖

I have made several of these for friends and they came out so pretty. I think it's where the self striping falls...long colorways. Do you have any advice on the best way to proceed.

I'm working on the other short sleeve. This shrug here is on my future crochet projects and I'll try to make a long sleeve shrug this time :0). I like short sleeves in the springtime and in the fall and wintertime I do long sleeves. I had so much fun doing the Irish shrug.

      I am making the shrug now and your directions are perfect. I'm using the Red Heart Comfort Yarn (1859 yard ball as big as a toddler!) in Smoky Heather Gray. I know I measured 42" on my starting chain, or so I thought. Now I've done four rows and it's measuring more like 52" long and already will probably go wrist to wrist so I'm at a crossroads. Would you frog it or would you continue and maybe find a way to scrunch the sleeves up so they don't go so far down? The pattern is so darn pretty! I'm tempted to just continue and see what happens. Maybe it will draw up some as I go or maybe I can leave off some of the border, though I really like that part, makes it look so finished. I have no idea what I did, maybe I was just tired when I measured the starting chain and my eyes deceived me, LOL. EDITED TO ADD: I decided to just roll with it and to it as is, didn't have the heart to tear it out. ~Cynthia

    • @LetsAllCrochet
      @LetsAllCrochet  Год назад +1

      @@rootsrocksfeathers1975 hey again Cynthia! The shrug is already designed to be oversized ..i would frog if it's possible.. but in crochet nothing is wrong so you may even like it that oversized it is a personal preference!
      Ps I usually just swatch before starting projects, it helps keep the size sort of in control but sometimes it's okay to just go with the flow 😁

    Hi, thanks for this great tutorial. However, I have a problem here. I started with 200+ chains according to the size reference you provided. But, as I crochet more rows the length increase. I started chaining with 42inch width, but now I am on row 12 I noticed that the width has become almost 60inch😅. The edge is straight and perfect. I dont know what happened here. This is gonna be a very big cardigan for me. Can you help?

      Hello!
      I'm so sorry..the only solution is to rip it out and start again..sometimes our tension changes as we crochet that could be the cause..
      I would suggest measuring after the first few rows just to make sure you are on track!
      I usually suggest starting with a gauge swatch, if you make one, I can help you calculate the stitches you need 😊
