Hey guys! It has been a hot minute since I last posted a RUclips video, but honestly I was just super unmotivated and lazy to be doing anything in 2020. However, knitting and crocheting gave me this creative outlet I never knew I needed. I hope you join me along the journey of making clothes instead of buying them because let's face it, with tiktok around people are buying way too much into fast fashion. This sweater is the cutest thing and I can't wait to do more.

Knitting in general isn't that hard. You can learn the basics pretty fast. But there are many things that aren't that easy like more complicated patterns etc. I was inimidated by socks for years and it took me almost a week to knit my first one. But once you can do those things they become pretty easy. Often knitting patterns can be a bit cryptic so watching videos can definitevely help. It's also helpful (but not necessary) if you can already crochet, because you then already know how to keep the tension of the yarn. The easiest thing you can try is an scarf in case you want to start learning it. The first rows are usually the hardest so don't give up : )

at the risk of starting a war.... crochet instead, homie. it's MUCH easier, more flexible to work with (since you're working one stitch at a time, creating complex shapes is easier-- "undoing" mistakes is much simpler, too), and you don't need any extra tools pretty much ever. You can crochet in the round and crochet cables and plaits all with the same hook.
My only beef with crochet is that all methods of creating stockinette lookalike fabrics end up extremely thick and curl severely. but for me, that's preferable to just.... not being able to achieve it at all. Idk what's wrong with me, but I CANNOT knit stockinette to save my life. I've followed every tutorial and tried every tip and trick. Bigger needles, smaller needles, thicker yarn, thinner yarn, tighter stitches, looser stitches, you name it. just never works.

This is absolutely beautiful, and the sweater goes with your style. I basically never learned knitting except unravelling sleeves to reknit them again and make them brand new when I was a kid in the orphanage. This was the time when saving money was de rigueur. Because sweaters in the stores are so bad, I decided to knit again and found you, a real jewel. I used youtube to advance in this new hobby and knitted three sweaters. The first one was a disaster; the second one has some holes; and the third one is getting there.
I will try to copy your pattern. I know it will be a challenge, but I love it. Inshallah! Thank you.

I don't understand how people are so good at it, I think they've got superpowers. This is amazing. Mad respect. So I'm kinda learning how to knit. and I wanna knit a sweater so bad. But it's so hard omg. I crochet but knitting would be fun as well but it's killing me. I'm almost giving up but I'll still try. And do you know where I can get good knitting needles(like the one you used) and any good RUclips videos I can watch to help me knit a sweater? Thank you.

    • @typicalbliss

OMG NEVER GIVE UP!!! I have had that same feeling before, everytime I try to knit something that is a lil too difficult for me but you have to just keep trying! I got my needles off of etsy from the brand "LYKKE" but you can get cheap ones from Micheals. You should check out Ravelry.com, they have free patterns for everything and its a great resource for forums or help. As for RUclips videos, I think its really lacking but I'll try to make a video!!
