I think that vault box is a joke .they have known since series 1 that it would be a high demand on their website.they should have had a waiting room on #2.then I find out certain individuals were able to get them without dealing with the website.glad your happy with your coins.keep up the great info.
Congrats, Shaun! I was going to say that I don't think you'll get your money back but as long as you're satisfied with the coins you received, it's all OK. Myself, I'd be happy to add a 1939 Jefferson and a Morgan to my long time P.C.. Thanks for sharing the reveal.👍 Have a good one✌
I thought about it, registered and didn't get logged in until late afternoon so they were sold out. In retrospect, glad I didn't proceed. This has a fun component to it, but I am very picky what I buy (mostly for numismatic value and occasional stacking). The drama or element of surprise would have turned into disappointment quickly if those were the coins I opened. For me, I would be more interested if they tried to target the actual value of the price paid and kept the expectations for the high-end or "red-slabbed coins" lower. This is like the lottery and I don't play... anyway, glad you are ok with it. The Morgan was a good draw I guess.
I thought it was bullshit that the creators got them and then sell them for 2-3x. It wasn't like the other series didn't sell out quickly so not like that had to do anything more than they normally did to sell out. That being said at least I got them at the retail price.
I literally tried my best and could not order one. It literally would not get in the cart. I started 10 minutes before they went on sale and finally gave up after an hour! Very disappointing!!!!
Not a bad score. Same thing could happen in an auction if you are really wanting a coin for your collection either by desire, or need to fill a set....you may end up paying more than the coin is said to be worth. Congrats on a couple of good coins my friend!
When do you think they will start taking submissions from general public? I think the idea of the 10 point scale would be good… at least for modern coins. Thoughts? Thanks Sean…
You are so right about a waiting room on release day and then how it almost is amazing that 40+ boxes are on WhatNot next day in a special buy , then people start complaining, and then all of a sudden 50 more boxes show up to be sold at asking price on what not because volt box cares …stop the scalping, it’s hard to not believe that vault box is knowingly selling to the secondary market for a piece of the profit.
Great unboxing! Premiums are as you mentioned . . . unknown! Greysheet is $130 for the 39 Rev 38 PF66. The Morgan Greysheets for $170 . . . of course retail would be more as would the 'Vaultbox Premium'.
I appreciate how much you know. I don't know if you have checked out the coin facts from PCGS but I've found it to be an awesome tool. I was following along with you and had the mintage and auction sales and slabbed pop before you finished pulling off the card. I used to use greysheet but PCGS is easier. I gotten so much useful info from your channel I just thought I'd pay back the favor if I could. Thanks for sharing your passion
Hello Shaun, It's not a lottery total loss. A treasure hunt with possibilities. Exciting! Congratulations on what you did receive. Ty again, Daniel B 👊.
There’s No Pull when Vault send you what ever they want. I believe they have a database with names and addresses of previous supporters And Steer the Higher Value Boxes towards them.
Thank you Shaun! Very nice coins, still have not decided to join the Vault Box buyer group. I like that proof nickel, I recently purchased a PR66 1904 nickel for my "Meet Me In St. Louis Collection".
The 39 Rev 38 In PCGS pr66 Is a $200 Coin in my opinion that is a Ver Rare coin for $200 But the Proof 39 Jefferson with Reverse of 40 Looks to Be About A $500 Coin according to PCGS. Not Taking any holder's in to consideration
Hello there, unrelated to your video but I have found a coin (2006 Nebraska quarter) with somewhat of a deformity. Now I have tried searching all around the internet for similar "mistakes" on the quarter, and I have not been able to find another like the one I have. This is out of the blue, but if you could help me find a link to explain what I'm looking at. Thank you in advance if you are willing to help. If not, thank you for your time in reading my comment
I understand this is totally out-of the blue, or if you're used to getting questions like this, and it may be annoying by this point , but im trying to find out any info I could get. Thank you again
I watched you Shawn spend 400 or more for them on whatnot. I also seen them go for 600 on whatnot. I made a comment about insanity 😂😅. I would never pay that much
You are the real thing Shaun, so proud to know you, they should go to the regular people first so they don't have to pay ridiculous prices to get one, that is wrong. You deserve a red core, fingers crossed! OK, very nice coins, glad you are happy, I would be also. I think you are covered because it is VB the value is there.
You my process to get one was terrible, I wanted 1 and kept getting gateway and try again a error it said and then ended up with 4 I got to cancel 1 but they changed my card for 3 and then canceled 1 but the money was still taken out and then they charged my shipping of $40 because they gave me 2 . When I email them they don’t answer me so I think I got screwed out of some money because only wanted 1 they gave me 2 and the beginning it was 4 . Thanks I know I was rambling on LOL 😂
Thanks, I was wondering some of the same questions you addressed. Yes I saw about 4 dealers on whatnot and couldn’t believe the prices they were selling these boxes! Waiting for my 2, will share once I get them. Thanks again. See you tonight.
I couldn't believe it myself. But we have to realize it's not the sellers selling them so high. Every single one of them started the bidding at $1. The buyers set the bar.

Its just another gimmick the only winners are the promoters
I agree
Yup. The expected return in 60 cents on the dollar. Just buy the coin you want rather than gamble.

Thanks Shawn! Enjoyed the unboxing!

The Donut hole for breakfast, Mcguires Irish pub for dinner
Cool! this was the first time I've heard of this. I like the idea. Thanks for sharing.
Nice coins, both are beautiful my friend. 👍
Why did they go back to the Sheldon scale on the Morgan?

The 1890-S Morgan ended up with Mrs Davidson, lol

Saw the price and how the Highlander And Mint series is, I am glad I looked into it first hand lol. Naw, I'll wait
Wats cost for coin authentication
Is that reverse on the nickel rotated slightly.
I thought I saw that too but probably not, I think he just slightly rotated it in his hand but that would be cool if it was.

Awesome hits honestly the nickle i think is cool, so.ething diffrent and a decent Morgan. May have lost money but in time could break even.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
is there rotation that is beyond mint tolerance on the proof five cents?
Nothing specific with die rotations. They're all supposed to be coin turn alignment. Sometimes they're a little (or a lot) off.
Thanks so much for information good job man thanks
Nice video big man

It's okay Joe, we love hearing all experiences! I'll be honest...my experience with the ordering downright sucked!
@@BlueRidgeSilverhound should have I been charged $20 shipping for both when they shipped together in one package??? And thanks
Someone got 9,000 red core hit on whatnot last night and a ounce of gold red core
I keep hearing there is gold but saw none on the hit list that Vaultbox published on their site. Is there really gold in some boxes?
@@lincolnmicrophonellconly gold I saw quickly scanning the list was slabbed nuggets from the SS Central America shipwreck
Ugly slabs 😖
$229 + S/H ???
Yes for me it was very close to $250 like $248 or something
Great deal
Haha😂😂😂

Man, you are long winded
Gimmick!! Unless you score a Red Core, you will lose money as just proven here.
Watnot is just a place for dealers to scam newbies. Really hurts watching people pay the prices there paying for this stuff.
What garage
Are you trying to enhance the opening? Just open it and cut the ridiculous suspense. Geez.
