I'm curious! Why would a coin minted in San Francisco have an S over D mint mark? If it's minted in SF, how did the D get on the coin to begin with? SF wouldn't be putting D's on their coins. How do you make that mistake? Maybe someone can tell me. Thanks!
All the dies were made at the Philly mint and then sent to the branch mints.
San Fran ran out of dies and sent to Denver to quickly get more and then fixed them up

@@jorgevelazquez2319I would recommend to get a small scale and weigh them both. That way you know if they're silver for sure, some people will plate them with silver after they was minted. If I can help then let me know
Chances are they are not silver, some people play with coins and silver plate them. Just saying, don't count your chickens until they hatch. Lol.

Brown nickels are more often than not a nickel that was found with a metal detector. They clean up good but retain a nice brown chocolate color.

Hello, I'd see what each dollar bill is and if it has any type of error, nice serial numbers and so forth. If not, I would convert this paper garbage to silver or 🥇 hope this helps you😊❤
"they" have been saying that for over 50 years now. That's why they tried minting $1 coins, and still do. Probably will happen the same day hell freezes over.
