He killed his best friend, his right-hand man, sent great Generals to prison, killed Coronels, Generals, Captains and etc made great warriors forcibly accepted the retirement card and there were people in Germany (Germans)always trying to kill him. As a British person, I can assure you that he could even got further but would not last long. One day, he would have got killed. He lost for the Russians (consequently lost the war) when everyone told him not to go there at that time because of the Winter.

Like imagine Andrew Lloyd Weber put out Cats and then immediately put out a Mein Kampf musical. Lol. I saw a production of the show about 4 or 5 years ago at the Exchange Theatre, Manchester, which was 'in the round'. It was superb. Only one way to attack despotism, racism and intimidation is to ridicule and laugh at it.
They removed the line from the Original Producers, where..when the audience is 1/2 way out..someone seeing their "Hitler" gets up and shouts, "I GET IT, IT'S A SATIRE..." I think that part of the scene should have been left in. However, their 'Dolf' in this one I actually think is BETTER than fellow from the original.
The original film is still the best, but this scene is such an utter artistic masterpiece it’s hard to know how to gauge it overall. It’s even better than the original

The original script/story was an amazing premiss. A show created to be the most terrible and offensive, yet ends up being a success. The 1967 film was great and this film was great to. John Barrowman was brilliant in this, with his mix of camp in a Nazi uniform.
I seem to remember it being on at possibly the Friedrichstadt Palast on Friedrichstrasse in Berlin at least 15 years ago. All the swastikas in the production and advertising displays outside were replaced by an image of a pretzel
