Vault Box is overpriced and gimmicky. Reminds me of buying baseball cards in the 90s.
I still have all my baseball cards from late 70s and really 80s. I loved paying a quarter and get gum and look for your favorite baseball players. Diff time and Era when baseball was the American sport.
I was disappointed to waste 1hr trying to buy one online. Just to turn on Whatnot to see many sellers with 20 plus Vaultboxes selling them for $440 each and up
I don’t know how they got so many boxes…
Were you able to get one?
Dealer's had first pick and choice of how many. No way they limited two per household to dealers. This vault box was not for the people but for the retailers. It's okay. Most who purchased were highly dissatisfied with the finds. Oh well 😅
@@mrsspegtacular6484 no I was shut out online. There was network issues with the website. When I finally got to my cart there was 8 boxes in there so I had to remove the extra to move onto the payment screen. Then while I was waiting to hit place order. The sold out screen came up.
Awesome Gold Nugget in the One box !! The rest were not so hot !! After watching a few unboxing these Vault Boxes I’m glad I purchased Gold coin instead !!
That was the best one!
I watched several videos of Vault Box Series 3 openings. The vast majority are black with coins retailing from about $95 to $175 each and one gold nugget valued around $185. I've seen four reds. One had a gold nugget valued about $260. Then there was an 1892-O Morgan in MS-62 retailing for around $360, an 1871 Seated Liberty dollar in VF retailing for about $500, and an 1869 Three Cent Nickel pattern in PF-63 which a similar coin sold for over $2,500. Instead of buying a Vault Box, go to your local coin dealer so you can see what you're buying. You'll get a much better buy.
Thanks for sharing! So far, i have only seen one person who came out ahead. Glad i bought the spanish gold bull over a vaultbox.
I thought "Buy the coin, not the holder" applied to the grade on the holder.
I love Morgan dollars so the MS 65 is pretty cool. The gold nugget might actually be worth what you paid (or close to it). Thanks for sharing!
Very cool. I guess it is the thrill of maybe getting something "Big" like hitting the Mega Ball. Not anything that I would get involved with. TY for sharing. P.S. The 2-gram gold nugget is a pretty awesome piece, Is it odd to say I would have liked to have found that in a stream bed? LOL, 2 Grams of gold is a little over $180.00 dollars US
It would definitely be a cooler story to tell lol
Thanks for sharing! I didn't realized this was a thing until they were sold out. I probably would have tried for one. It's a cool idea that can spark interest in the hobby.
Very nice Speg. Thanks for sharing. I like the Goldbacks too--would love to have a complete denomination set from each of the states printed. As for the vault box, I am in the group you mentioned that would not want to gamble a pig in a poke. For the $1,000 you spent, you could have purchased an ungraded almost good or good condition Lincoln 1909-s VDB cent. And since yours makes 11 boxes I have seen open, and not one was a red slab. So who knows what the percentage is of the red slab versus all of the others. Too rich for me anyway.
The coin geek opened 3 boxes, and all were red core, including a pf 66 3 cent nickel pattern.
I like the nugget. Thank you spectacular for opening these good to see what is in a little variety of the vault box. Great unboxing video Thanks speg
Result here speaks for itself. Don't forget, you can always sell back to Vaultbox! They pay what the coin actually goes for - wholesale. What a deal.
Thanks Speg! Enjoyed the suspense and excitement of the openings as much as I would have had I ordered 4 myself…and saved around $500 at the same time.
So if you take it to a small town veterinary clinic you could have them X-ray it, you would be able to see what the coin is and some of the label as the ink on the NGC label has a very small amount of metal in it. Kinda makes me wonder if some sellers are doing that so they can find and keep the good ones and sell just the lower value ones.
Cool unboxing. I usually skip all unboxing videos, but because of the comment I made yesterday about vault box, I decided to watch.
And for me, this is another step away.
Thanks for sharing. 👍
Interesting collection of items, Speg....I do like the nugget the best....I guess. I doubt I would ever get on on these... just not my thing but thanks so much for sharing your items... greatly appreciated! Looking forward to seeing more Coin Guy! Take care, be safe and God bless!
Congratulations on that cool NUGGET!
Wow a gold nugget , wicked score Speg 🥳🥳🥳
It’s pretty neat!
Thanks for sharing Speg , I thought it was very entertaining 👍
A small step for Spegtacular and a Giant Leap for NGC and your audience!❤
The price point is getting me interested. I have watched several reveals and no red cores. I’m am getting closer to buying now. More than ever.
You should try it out. The mystery is intriguing! What would you hope to find in your box?
I had heard from another unboxing that the odds of getting a red core is about 1 in 6 in Series 3.Was pulling for ya!
I got as much satisfaction watching you open them and reveal each slab than I would buying $500 in lotto tickets and losing. Did you make out ahead….no! Was it fun to watch…yes! I agree with you the gold nugget is cool. Might be worth selling the rest while the hype is still high and try to recoup as much of your “investment” as you can.
Awesome!
And no, I’m keeping the nugget! NFS
Pretty cool if you got extra loot. Those are nice coins, would be cool to open a gem though?
I missed the boat on Series 3, they were sold out by the time I attempted to purchase. I still have 2 of the Series 2 that I’m on the fence of opening or flipping on eBay.
Thanks for sharing! Gold nugget is 🔥
what a journey 4 boxes. ty!
Great Video 😎 That nuggets makes me want to get one 🤓
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the video speg.
Speg I appreciate you actually putting your money where your mouth is. Versus other content creators that just talk and talk and talk about stuff you actually buy stuff and show us the real life stuff you get. Sub for life bro.
I make some money on this but I also throw some of it away for YOU ALL so we can ALL learn.
As expected... the only thing looted here... is the participants' wallet... :)
Still the best unboxing I've watched on RUclips.
Nice a morgan & gold nugget wayy better 😊
Thank you Speg! Just crazy what we learn..I guess I'm on the side, of stuff like this being rigged.. just like tne McDonald's Monopoly game was, that the company said it would never be rigged... you just never know 🤷♂️👍🇺🇸
Thanks, now I feel a little better after spending a bunch on vehicle repairs.
Cool. I’m curious.
Edit: Appreciated for sharing. Hope you can recoup the cost, maybe coin guy can find a higher paying buyer.
Gold nugget was a good one
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Another vault box nugget got a red core.
Where could you buy them when they were for sale?
Look at it this way. Essentially, no different than buying from the mint. Any purchase is a gamble. Preferential treatment to commercial sellers? Im aure the quality control os tighter.
Sorry, Im auppose to be qorking on being so cynical 😅
They are cool coins to own but I like the nugget the best.
It's a roll of the dice!
Nugget is worth $175. 1885 O is worth about $210. 1891 is worth about $120. The quarter is worth $18. Sorry! So you paid $1000 for $523. Great video. Makes me understand why I decided not to get any.
Your valuation is a bit low and you forgot the Goldbacks but you’ve got the right idea. Most people will lose so that a tiny amount wins.
@@Spegtacular There is also the aspect of getting something that you don't normally collect, which is fun. I collect $1s and of course gold so that wouldn't have been too bad for me.
I wouldn’t have gotten a nugget but I like it a lot
The nugget is worth more than $175… it’s at least $100/g for a specimen like that, and there’s a premium for that holder
@@maxm3522 Oh cool. I just estimated based on price of gold. Any idea how much premium on a nugget?
hello speg. , where would be a good place to start to find a gold nugget ,like the one you have? that's legit with the Wright paper work. great video also. the price ,not so good. have a happy!
There’s a company I saw in Alaska on Instagram that sells real gold nuggets. Try to look them up!
Add $30.00 to each box and you could have had 40 oz.'s of silver, 4 10 oz. bars.
how often do series come out? i literally just heard about these and of course they are sold out
Ya im sure i could of bought everyone of them coins/gold for well under 1k . But great video now i no for sure vault box is not for me .
My point...is it worth the money. I am figuring out that there are more rip-offs then I thought there would be. I found that the Ebay coin dealers are very dishonest.
You came closer than you think in value if you add the VB value and views on this video? Nice coins and nugget.
That’s so wrong and typically what people with no channel believe a content creator is making. It’s not your fault but it’s wildly incorrect. I’ll likely make a whopping $15-$20 on THIS video
You pay your dollar and you take your chance. This is life....
I wonder what are the odds to get a red core
Not really for me, but thanks for sharing with us. ❤ 👍
Cheers
A metal detector would take out the suspense.
OK, now tell us how you got 4 of them? Some people couldn't even get one. I liked the gold piece the best.
To much of a Gamble for me!! Peace brother SpeG!
Would have been pretty cool if you had a good score😊
Some gentleman on here got 3 red cores
This is Gambling pure and simple, I wouldn't waste my time!
Thanks, now I know what's in the poke. I probably will never buy one. Make sure you have a pig in your poke, not a rabbit.
I’ll buy that Utah goldbsck off u
$229. I can get a lot mor silver or gold for that😮
I never win with gambling! :(
Not worth the risk for me
It’s not for everyone.
@@mrsspegtacular6484 that gold nugget was awsome though
Those who pay $229 for these are gamblers not collectors. Those who pay $500 are just plain crazy!
I’m here early
Lotto isn't for me, there can only be one winner and that's NGC
That's why it's called gambling. 😅
Wow they are really milking the cow sending out common date and circulated coins.
should've looked up the values for your audience
Man those are sweet but wwwwaaaaayyyy tooooo expensive. Already on the market for $600.00... No way...
It's
I disagree that everyone on the internet disagrees with you. 😊
looks like ngc is cashing in on the lottery system finally.,., let's see the weigh in on 1000 of those golden tickets and then the sale price.,., and don't let the cops bust you with that knife., it's on the enemy of the state watchlist.,., because they care.,., ';'
Every VaultBox release has sold out quickly. So yes, they are doing something right. It definitely brings sports card type excitement to the coin world. Although at a much higher price tag. I appreciate them doing something to change things up. I would love to see the Mint get involved by releasing special coins into the wild. Something needs to be done because the old group of collectors holding the hobby up aren't going to be around forever. Cheers!
I prefer the pre-boomer version of the pledge that omitted religion. It had more class
I'd rather have the knife , what brand name is it and how/where can I get one
It’s a microtech! You can find them online.
So far have seen nothing but a waste of greenbacks, what a money grabbing idea from NGC!! could have bought another 10 oz bar at that total price. Sorry Speg😢
You got ripped off!
Eeeeeeeeee😬😬😬😬😬😬
Hard pass on this!!!!!
Thanks for the video. I really can not understand the mentality of these - not so much the seller but the buyer. Please, that is some total BS
You hear that loud sound from these sucking all of the hobby money from the buyers and funneling it to the marketers? Can’t believe people are paying 2-3x for these on the secondary market. Just going to make the losses they incur that much worse.
Vault Box is the pokemon of coin collecting. a lot of hype and overpriced with unrealized hopes and dreams.
lost a lot of $$, these guys are getting rich
Not for me 🤷♂️
It's a ripoff Speg thank you😊
Total scam
