Unless your in a detailers mindset looking for swirls these type products really do make a great improvement to the look of a car. Look forward to seeing what others you try out.
Absolutely, 100% agreed with you Nick! Also, AG did what they claim on the bottle. The darkening effect and gloss it gives I really like. SRP is one of the first detailing product I have purchased a few years back, and it still has it’s place on the market. Thanks for watching 🙌
Great video as always Viktor. You packed this video with a lot of very useful info! It's really good to see the kind of results to be expected from the product. It doesn't work miracles but definitely makes a big improvement!
Thank you Heather! Indeed, no miracles happened but the improvement is still huge. I was very disappointed a few months back with an other glaze, as my expectation was too high. So, I thought it worth sharing what to be expected. Obviously those heavy swirls won't disappear with "5 mins of work", and I think, most of the time people (me included) can judge a product negatively, simple because they don't know what to expect. I have a few more glazes to test out here, but cannot wait to give this a proper go and see how far I can go in improvements :)
On black or dark colours I use Poorboys black hole or Britemax black max. SRP is excellent for giving a car a bit of gloss and generally making cars look better especially if they are neglected
I heard great things about PB Black hole, too. I agree with that SRP is excellent for gloss and small improvements. The color of my car basically resurrected after application 😊 Thanks for watching Chris 🙌
Hi Viktor, that paint is extreme 😉 but definitely a good example of what to expect from SRP. Interesting to see the 50/50 (since the average joe wouldn’t do that) because I dare say it would have been difficult to notice a difference! Personally, I did consider using SRP for my own car, as a stop gap before machine polishing, but I decided that I’ll just machine polish it after getting some practice in.
Hi Craig! Indeed, this paint had better days I can tell you that 😅 SRP is a very good product for what it is. No wonder why it has been so popular. I was intended to use SRP as a stop gap as well before machine polishing. However, I knew that won't last too long nor give me the level of look I am after and fully satisfied with. I have a few more products to test and see on this kind of paintwork, then I will do a machine polishing somewhere around summer. Good luck to your project as well, you will nail your goal. Yet again: 1. keep your expectations real and you will be very happy at the end, 2. always do a test spot and 3. triple the time you are planning you will finish. These 3 things were my mistake, when I first ever tried machine polishing :) But this is what it's all about: enjoy the journey. Thanks for watching 🙌
Great suggestion! I have a few more glaze type of product to test on this surface, then I will give a paint enhancement polish to this #projectNADIN 🙂Thank you for watching Gert! 🙌
Sounds good. This car’s paintwork is pretty bad, so I haven’t decided which combo I should go yet. But probably I will do a few test spots and see which way to go. Although, I’m not aiming for perfection, but will be a good project as a hobbyist for sure. 🙂
It’s nearly impossible to correct the paintwork without machine polishing. However, there are some filler glazes that can fill up the swirls in a great level, but that won’t be a permanent solution. If I would be in that situation, I would look for a filler glaze type product, such as: - Stjarnagloss Skara / Glasyr - Infinity Wax Dark / Light Glaze - Poorboys Black Hole or anything that claims to fill up swirl marks using the product by hand. Super Resin Polish is also an option. But results never will be the same as using a machine polishing. Hope this helps 🙌🏻
@@RoadToDetailing so if I was to use a machine polisher what product would you suggest to use on the machine polisher would the auto glym one used in the video be okay?
I'm going to let my car get dirty inside and out and then see what I can do. It will drive me mad slightly dirty 🙈 but I want to hand polish and hand wax (double speed wax BH) and full deep clean on the interior
Hi Christy, I know the following 😊 sometimes I say “my car is pretty dirty” while others look at it and reply: “Dirty??? This?”.. I hate cleaning interior if I’m being totally honest, but once I start, it’s grand. BH DSW is a great product. Has a fee downside, but nothing major compared to the benefits it gives. 👍🏻
No-no, I am not a professional at all. I’m more likely enthusiast than a professional. DSW is very temperature sensitive, so if the weather for instance too hot, the wax tents to “sweat”. Also, sometimes does smear and harder to remove. And “the scent” is a personal downside, but doesn’t smell nice. However, it gives nice gloss, durability and great water behavior for a very reasonable price. Heather from @autocarehq recently made a great video about DSW, that worth to check out, let me know if you can’t find it and I link that here for you 🙌
Honest video👍. Also shows how you can be tricked by photo's on Instagram en of course by video's on RUclips. Like some others said, try Perfect Finish from Sonax😃
Thank you for the suggestion Will! I will defo put Perfect Finish on the list. In all honesty, the darkening effect of SRP is great, and not many “average joe” will look further than an improved look. However, I wanted to show the “filling capability” more, and while it has been improved, for my taste is not enough 🙂 But, Autoglym doesn’t claim more on their label than than SRP actually does, so fair play to them. Lastly, obviously I can’t expect miracles from a work of 10 minutes instead of 2 days 😅
What kind of glaze you prefer to use? Have you tried Autoglym SRP before? 🙌

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned !
No problem Craig! Thanks for the support 🙌
Very nice video - enjoyed it immensely.
Thank you! I am glad you liked it 🙌🏻
SRP is nice, if you want better results when working by hand try something like Sonax perfect finish.
Great suggestion! I have a few more glaze type of product to test on this surface, then I will give a paint enhancement polish to this #projectNADIN 🙂Thank you for watching Gert! 🙌
@@RoadToDetailing I used to use Sonax Cutmax followed by perfect finish depending on how scratched the paint was.

What would you recommend to get rid of swirls by hand ?

I got a polisher, works much better trust me.
Probably a polisher works better, indeed 👍🏻
Srp no good with a polisher
I think he meant in general.
