This is actually heartbreaking and sad. When animation shows the tofu shop and AE86 gets abandoned by Bunta and Takumi, and shows all the memory and flashback made me upset.
Mono no aware (物の哀れ), or the awareness of the impermanence of all things; that unique emotion we feel when we contemplate the passage of time and how things change. It reminds us car enthusiasts that every car we've owned and loved will eventually no longer be ours and will all suffer the same fate; rotting in a junk yard, picked for parts, wrecked, and/or crushed for scrap metal. Long gone from our possession. It's a sad thought, yet a cathartic one too. Enjoy your car while you have it.
Cars are my life. Growing up I had a toy model of an Audi A2 that my dad bought me because the family car was exactly that. An Audi A2. I took my driving license, one of the best moments of my life, and finally got to drive it. Fast forward 7 years, the car is old and has some damage that costs more to repair than the car’s value. It will not pass the next revision. So here I am, crying for my first car that has to go in some months. I had some of the most incredible experiences with it, from trips with my girlfriend to learning track basics. To other people it’s just an A2. To me it’s the world. I don’t want it to go away.
Not sure how many people know this, but Initial D has a sequel manga called MF Ghost set in a future where all cars are electric. Ryosuke Takahashi creates a multi-million dollar racing tournament on street roads, and Takumi's student competes in the tournament in an 86 (the new one) against Ferraris, Porsches, and other supercars. Apparently Takumi ended up driving professional rally and now teaches at a British racing school.
they say that as long as it brings them attention and profit, as soon as everyone understands that electric cars are not environmentally friendly, maybe everyone will forget about these ideas
Electric always falls behind, and it will again soon enough. It never stays ahead for too long. It has never been sustainable, and won't be in this century. Gas and diesel is here to stay, as long as most of us are still around. By the time gas and diesel are phased out entirely, most of us will be close to 100 years old already, and our cars will be memories we will take to the grave with us. Call me crazy, but I'm going to be buried with my Acura. I'll have the fluids drained and the battery removed, and just have me buried in the driver's seat, one hand on the wheel, the other propped up on the door.
I find it ironic that they are pushing blood ev's when the utility companies are still burning oil to charge these electric cars. How many African nations are we going to have to bomb to steal the resources to build these blood diamonds, blood ev's?

they can't ban ICE cars from driving on roads, just the sale of new ones. theres still the billion dollar aftermarket parts industry to look after, and many ICE cars definitely belong on the roads and museums. Billions will be spent in the continued development of combustion engines and their fuels for at least another couple decades. Banning ICE cars from driving and banning the sale of fuels would be a fruitless endeavor, money is far better spent on clean energy and industry. Companies would probably start making fuel for existing ice cars on a small scale in the far future and it would be small enough to not be worth taxing. We can keep playing.

Plot twist :
Car manufacturers have managed to make synthetic fuel and every carguy started to drive more than they used to.
Well maybe just using for cars that build potentially for hobby or collector item like sport cars,or supercars or hypercars but for common cars maybe all of it going electric because inevitables that some cars now will shifting into electric.Well that maybe the plan synthetic fuel just using for cars that build with limited amount and potentially for collector item,or for hobbies with category like I said in first I hope so.
It's true Porsche is working on it now. They even say it will have a super clean burn. Im glad i dont want to get rid of my 240z.
The fuel being synthetic doesn't mean it somehow doesn't release CO2, just means we don't have to dig up more oil, so that wouldn't change much.
@@YurgenGrimwood Actually, the mining and drilling for fossil fuels makes up a lot of pollution by itself.
