    Liked the pun about suspension 'nothing springs to mind' but I'm easily amused 🤣

  • @RobertKehl
    @RobertKehl 6 месяцев назад +6

    Your suspension discussion was right on. Unfortunately a lot of riders are looking for someone else to setup there bikes for them. Unfortunately there is no one all fit all setup. If I might add or push the same narrative. Once you get a rider thats interested in improving there suspension and after they have properly setup there bikes with the correct springs for there weight, set a standard sag setup. Encourage them to understand rebound and compression fine tuning from factory settings. Play with the clickers. For example, add two clicks +/- to the comp and feel what that did to the bike. Do the same to the rebound but not at the same time, only do one change at a time and go ride a familiar section of Road or track. Did it improve the handling or did it make the bike harder to ride. If it made it worse, try adjusting the clickers the other way two clicks at a time. Did the bike feel better or worse. If it improved the bike’s handling you’re making progress. Just remember if you get it all wrong where the bikes handling feels all wrong. Just start over by going back to factory settings.

      In addition to this, you could make a spreadsheet to print up, to record your settings with a comments box to record the feeling in words the adjustment gives.

    Hello Neevesy casually watching yet another one of your Q&A videos when alas the question I posed to you some time ago came up regarding which bike out of the BMW S1000RR & the new Ducati Panagali was more refined, and which was the roomier bike for taller riders. I was shocked to be honest, but pleasantly surprised when you answered my questions very well. Thank you so much for that - I really appreciate the effort for not only answering my questions, but all of the interesting stuff and knowledge we the general riding public gain from you.
    Cheers and thank you again mate 👍

I also pulled the trigger on a Kawasaki z900 RS 2024 as a result of watching his and few other videos (incidentally he was right the snatchy throttle has disappeared). Probably not quite on point as they were a few year old models but I tried the Duc V4 and the s1000rr being 6'4". The BMW won on comfort for me by a long way so I bought it. 2018 model. I could tour on that bike. I did about 1000k of road on it and I've just finished the track conversion. I've just done the 1st track day on it last week and coming from a track Daytona,,,,wow, what a machine. I can move all over it and still throw it around. Great ergos for my size. Still feels a shame to not have it for the road. It's such a good road bike I might have to buy another so I have one for the road and one for the track. Affording that is the next challenge.

    Engine brake control. Hello Neevesy i follow your videos for several years and they are very interesting, the Q&A videos especially useful. I'm riding different bikes for 20 years now, recently due to a vicious midlife crisis i sold my Harley Softail and got a Honda CBR600rr. Took tree levels of CSS end enjoyed sport riding. Then last year it got even worst and i sold the Honda i brought a Panigale v4. First bike with electronics i own. What bugs me is the EBC, everybody that i talk to starts explaining what engine brake is. And i'm aware of that, actually the Harley stopped better with the engine than with the front brake. I wonder how to use the EBQ option better on track for example? Thank you!

With the decline in sales of superbikes, and indeed with manufacturers announcing that they are no longer suppling some top bikes into the UK market, R1 for example, how do you think this will impact road and track racing in the future for series that are based on road bikes (WBSK, BSB)?

    Hello from Austrlia. Great videos, please keep doing them, they are really useful and informative. I have a question about what is the type of motorcycle to start with track days, track training and twisty roads (no commute, no travelling).
    Here in Austrlia I am limited to LAMS apporved motorcycles, up to 650cc (R6, CBR600RR, etc not LAMS approved). I am wondering if it better to buy a small sport bike as a Ninja 400 or a CFMoto 450SR (or something similar), or go for a bigger less sporty bike as a MT07 or a SV650 or a cbr500/650r. (I haven’t heard the best things from the cbr500, but I probably trust you more than the others)
    I am quite big around 190cm (6.3 feet) and 100kg (220 pounds), but quite fit and I always enjoy a good workout (in and out of the bike). Please feel free to go for specific examples of bikes if you think it would be useful.
    Thank you for the content and to put the time to do these videos and answer the questions.
