  • A theory about a conspiracy from the real world that may have inspired some events of Pikmin 4. A lot of this information was there from the start, but cross-referencing these two yielded some wild results.

    The fact that the ancient sirehound is said to be the ancestor of oatchi and moss (and all the other space dogs) further proves this theory

    Also the ship technology of shrinking stuff, could have been used to shrink humans
    If ressources are a problem, just being way way way smaller avoids the issues since you need less of everything
    And keeping that size secret until new generations forgets all about it, would help rewrite history because there's no way you would believe be part of a species x50 or something the size everyones lived at

    There are actually a lot of treasure descriptions that back this theory up, as well, the most notable probably being Olimar's commentary on the Contemplation Station.
    I think the idea that Hocotatians, Giyans, etc. are descended from humans is basically canon at this point, even if it is a bit obscure.
    Side note: although I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be pronounced "gee-ya," as in geezer and yahoo, and the Pikmin wiki gives a different explanation for the origin of its name, it's kind of uncanny how similar "Giya" is to "Gaia," which is another name for Earth. Maybe the humans that landed on Giya were trying to remember their old home when they named it.

      The reason I pronounced it that way is because I thought that was the connection xD I didn't even consider a different pronunciation.

    THIS IS EXACTLY THE FATE OF HUMANS I HAVE SAYING HAPPENED IN PIKMIN ALL THISS TIME! The surviving humans escaped to multiple different planets eventually evolving into the modern people from all the planets we see today. Technology forgotten and reinvented. This is PRECISELY what I've been saying what happened in the series all this time and finally someone made a theory video about it. I'm so happy, thank you :)

    Don't forget that some treasures in Pikmin 2 make a low radiated hum when you're close to them!

    how did the characters get so small though?
    Same way a melon 10x the size of the SS Beagle can still fit. Miniaturization could have been a necessary survival technology to make food last longer, or to colonize smaller space rocks.

      My theory is natural evolution. Colonization puts a strain on resources, and lack of resources leads to organisms evolving smaller bodies for efficiency.

    8:05 I think it might be more about the survivors having moved to a variety of planets, but that's speculation on my part. We know that distinct cultures with different kinds of advancement exist, thanks to Koppai not even having _agriculture,_ but the reasoning for this could be a variety of things.

    • @VarietyTelevision
      @VarietyTelevision  Год назад

      If they didn't have agriculture, they wouldn't have Botonists, I don't think. They're just massive consumers, and we know they just move to the next planet when food is gone. Rather than planning out food sources (they're known for lack of planning), they just move on. Differing cultures, absolutely, because other planets don't have the same issue.

    I beg your pardon, but are you able to do the theory discussion live stream on a weekend? (Preferably 9 pm your time) Because I really wanna be there. The only days I have off of school is Saturday and Sunday. So, if you could do it on the weekend, that would be great.
