Yeah, I've gotten very good at rolling the bar down to my stomach and sitting up with it (which I believe is what he did). It's very good to practice this move if you are lifting alone.

Welcome back Long! Glad to see you're doing well. I hit 315 about 5 mos ago then 335 a month ago. My comp schedule has kept me busy so I haven't done bench more than 1x/wk in the last 3 weeks. But I think I'll still be on track to hit my goal of 365 by the end of year and maybe my stretch goal of 375 if I increase my bench schedule once comp season is done in September. catch ya' later!

Got Covid finally a month ago. Brutal (for 1 day) but man did it ever tank my strength. Only just now getting the bench press close to where it was pre-covid. Incredibly discouraging. Glad to see you're back!

Not bad for a 57 year old, old guy. I want to stay injury free so I am doing higher rep sets now. 4x 15 @ 185 and some 225 sets of 10. My desire is to throw on the plates but the brain says higher rep sets are better for me. I hope you are still playing pong! For a challenge as you build up again, how about max set of reps at 225 full range. I’d say you are in the 30 rep range when you are back to normal. What say you?

Just wanna say Long. Diet has a lot of impact on healing injury. Eat high quality protein and avoid things that can cause inflammation. Personally I had an injury for years that never fully healed until I went on strict animal based diet and cut out almost everything

Really?, when I had covid I had kept all my strength I could still lift the same weight for Same reps while sick (in home gym)
