infer a lot about them and Aaravos.
This might be the first real look we have gotten into
the world of Startouch Elves!

Has anyone thought that the reason he was crying was because he got imprisoned, he seems to be a being who wants to always be two steps ahead and maybe being beaten at his own game broke him, and the “merciful one” was comforting him and saying in short “we are all stardust” as he is now trapped and alone. Additionally he wanted to hear virens voice at his first introduction.
I did wonder that too. It could be, but it would beg the question of why other startouch elves would comfort him for that, since Aaravos clearly doesn't like them anymore, so assuming that it goes both ways wouldn't be a stretch.
Maybe it's more the step before, where he gets "banished" to earth. Where they might have still had a better relationship to each other.
4:18 if u're right in that theory, i ask myself what name would be given do Aaravos, "The Generous One" maybe? at least for the humans, who he helped for a period of time.
Yea I was thinking about that while editing, that he was technically "nice" for how the Humans would have perceived him. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case as well...

i have a theory!!
the great one is also mentioned in the first ep and one of the other ep's in the early seasons (idk thich one) and the evil dark mage who fought the old king of the dragons the blind one. the dragon asked the dark mage 'who gave that staph to you?' and the dark mage said 'one of the great ones' meaning one of the startouch elves of aaravos could have given the staph that was then passed down to viren and then to claudia. idk if u already know this but i just wanted to point it out :D (also im terrable at spelling)
All good, yea it was mentioned before. We know that the staff came from aaravos, who was the only great one we knew about, but since there could still be many more, maybe they were involved with that as well! Great thinking!
What if that thing she was saying is how you understand the star arcanum just like the ocean one point a poem. Maybe it means that we are all part of the void regardless and maybe it is trying to say that the key to the star arcanum is to let go off all desires and become part of the void like what Zantar (I think that’s his name ) said in the legends of Korra.
I like that thought a lot. Having learned the Ocean Arcanum "with a poem", this could definitely be the star version of that. And yea, I think it definitely has a lot to with how to understand the arcanum
I’m guessing the Merciful One is Leola, a unicorn that can turn into a Startouch Elf. Leola, like Aaravos, helped humans in their time of need. She is also merciful, sympathetic, and compassionate which is why she comforts Aaravos.
No joke, I actually had a thought very similar to this recently! I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've been working on videos that covers this aspect and how star creatures interact with another and what they mean. I think you're on the right track though!
I think Aaravos did lose someone: The Merciful One. They (canon term) were obviously important to Aaravos, and he to them, as they are the only one who comforted him. The phrase certainly had a big impact on him! I think they were lost or in hiding, or killed. This angered him and set him on his path. I don't think they were actually killed. I think they're related to Callum. It makes sense, Startouch Elves are the only ones who have mastered more than one arcanum. If Callum has 'Blue blood', then it explains why he has such an aptitude for magic, and is the only human who was learned an arcanum. Also, I love the name 'Callum'. From the latin 'Caelum' , meaning... sky.
I actually didn't know that etymology for Callum. That's really interesting. I somehow doubt that Callum is a descendant of an elf, since it would kinda take power from the idea that it's the first "human" to do magic. That doesn't mean however that The Merciful One isn't who Aaravos lost. It would his character to have someone of his kind that he deeply cared about.

All-new actions, all-new dangers, all-new mysteries, all-new thrills, all-new excitement, and all-new adventures. I wonder who this merciful one is, the female Startouch elf. She looks a little like Queen Sarai. Whoever she is, I would love to meet her soon 🐲🐉🧝🧝♂🧝♀🧚🧚♂🧚♀⭐🌟🌠
Absolutely! I also saw the Sarai resemblance, I think it's just reusing a model to base it off of, making the animating easier. I can't wait to find out what they are!
This theory is pretty out there, but could the Merciful One be Sarai? Firstly, aside from the, you know, galaxy skin, the resemblance is striking. As well as this, how Sarai behaves, from her desire to not kill the Magma Titan in a time when the humans were still at war with Xadia, to her 'mercy' towards a person who practices dark magic - which she is clearly averse to.
Also, the only words we hear the Merciful One say are to comfort Aaravos. If I recall correctly, though it's been a while since I watched the show, the first scene we see Sarai in - King Harrow's coronation - the first words we hear her say are to comfort/encourage Harrow. As well as this, Callum's mother being a Startouched Elf could explain his affinity for magic. Case in point, until Season five, the only one who knew more than one arcanum was Aaravos, a Startouched elf. But guess who learns his second arcanum?

True true, I doubt this clip is after he was imprisoned, but maybe? Or right as it happened?
@@TheGlowingHay This predates his imprisonment and has nothing to do with it. The clip simply shows how he reacted after he was banished to earth from the stars and how he was comforted by the merciful one
@TheGamingGojiOfficial I like that thought process actually.. I still feel like the Star touch elves should be able to be on earth anyway. But still I like it.

Shit guys, I was just looking around on Google and I don’t know if this is new or I just heard about it but this just ruins the show, Callum is half startouch elf. Apparently only Ezran and Harrow know that he’s an elf and he can switch between elf and human form.

@@TheGlowingHay idk I was just scrolling around on google trying to get TDP S6 leaks if there were more possible and yk those things u click which are different from the topic but related to the thing so like if you search “Ash ketchum” you get one of those things you click that says something along the lines of “who is Ashes dad?”
These were the lines

It was confirmed by the creators a long time ago that Callum is not Aaravos son nor is he half elf as it would destroy any character development and meaning to him unlocking the arcanum’s

Oh wow, that is really interesting. I've never thought about that, especially how Ezran is like the Merciful One and Callum like Aaravos. I wonder if we'll get to see more of that or not.
