- Hay Everyone! I'm super excited to finally start sharing my thoughts on the Arcanum of the Stars! It's a difficult one to cover fully, since there is so much about it that seems important, and yet so much that we somply do not know. Today we'll start by looking at Callum maybe being able to reach the Starry Void in Season Six of THe Dragon Prince. Maybe even talking to The Merciful One? ...Does this allow him to connect to Aaravos? Well, watch and find out what I think.
You're welcome to share your thoughts though, and maybe we can come up with an even better theory or understand the Arcanum even further.

There is a type of Star dragon called "Star devourer" who devourer literal stars by swallowing the magic stored within the core, legends say that whoever beholds their image will instantly be plunged into delirium, so celestial elves have to keep their blindfolds on at all times, less they want to lose their sanity at the cosmic horror known as star devourer dragons.
Huh that's an interesting idea too! So would you say that they communicate with Star devourer dragons or how does that work. Or like that the Star devourer dragons ate in the void? It's true though that it would be a very practical use for them as well!

One thing interesting about the Merciful One scene is that she, a primeval being, probably older than time, says "we are all stardust, held together or a moment".
A life of a quasi-immortal, timeless being is "just a moment" compared to the infinite.
Yea that's true. It's probably because they understand infinite way better than anyone, but aren't truly immortal themselves...

I think Callum will understand the basic principles of Star Arcanum because I guess Callum will connect to Moon Arcanum while he is under Aaravos's possession and Rayla will be his "South Star" to guide him to recover the control of his mind and he understands finally the meaning or give a new meaning of Moon Arcanum.
This is how I see the situation and the Star Arcanum will be the last primal source that Callum will connect in the final season of the series.
Aww that'd be so cute! I actually really hope this happens because it sounds like such a beautiful scene! It would make sense as well!
I believe that the star arcanum is a cosmic level awareness and perception which is why i think callum will need to learn all the others first and this allows him to understand it because he understands all the other spurces of the world
Hmm wouldn't that mean that others connected to the star primal, have to understand all the others as well, or is it then different when you're born with it?
@@TheGlowingHay as far as we know that could be the case though I could be wrong the only star touch elf we actualy know about besides the new one teased is aravose who mastered all 6 primal sources
What if the key of Aarovos was a tool of Aarovos. Like you know how one face lights up when it feels some magic. What if Aarovos wanted to learn about what creatures were connected to the arcanums but that drove him to seek the power of the arcanums and that was why he became who we now know him as? That is just a theory. Amazing video and keep up the amazing theories!

This is amazing! It does make me wonder that if what you believe is true, that Callum will make it to the void; perhaps that is what Aaravos is waiting for. He said that Callum is "destined to play right into his hands." Perhaps that by making it to the void, Callum is now a suitable vessel for Aaravos to crossover? It is already shown that Aaravos can control Callum due to his Dark Magic usage. Well now Callum has already used Dark Magic AGAIN on Finnegrin's ship, and if he gains the understanding of the Stars, then Aaravos will use that to either use the Key as shown in the intro. Or take Callum's body in order to leave his prison. Idk just a weird thing that came to mind after re-watching The Owl House scene of Belos controlling Hunter. This is great as always and I hope you're right! Cheers😁
Oh I love this! It would make so much sense, and while we don't know why Aaravos would want to get back to the void, it could mean that he could free himself or access more of his power if he can control someone that is there. This would make a lot of sense as well!

I’ve had a theory for a while that if Viren is alive, he might connect to the star arcanum instead of Callum. For one thing, Aaron Ehasz has referred to Viren as often suffering from “time blindness”, and the star arcanum is tied to time and space. Plus he confirmed that when Viren was speaking with his younger self in the mirror, that wasn’t just a vision of his old self. That was actually young Viren taking to him. That Viren’s first and second dark magic dreams were connected across time.
I think it would be pretty poetic for Viren, since Jason Simpson said he feels Viren wants nothing to do with magic of any kind due to the toll it’s taken on him and his family. So while season 1 Viren would jump at the chance to wield the most powerful and mysterious arcanum, the new Viren would see it as a terrible burden he must carry, and one he can hopefully use to fix the mess he made. It’s kind of like how Iroh in avatar gained his wisdom after having lost his son and realized the damage the he and the Fire nation was causing the rest of the world.
Oh wow! I love this idea a lot. It would make a lot of sense too, and it would explain where he will be in Season 6. Maybe the shots we've gotten with him and Kppar are also not flashbacks but him actually fighting previous versions of events in his journey with the stars!
@@TheGlowingHay Imagine season 6 ending with Callum and Viren in opposite places, with Callum now Aaravos’ new puppet, and the rest of the gang having to rely on Viren to help save him. Rayla would be furious! But I could also be a good chance for him and Soren to confront each other after he’s changed.

Thanks for making this video! Now it is a lot clearer why they use those blindfolds! However, there are so many other mysteries and unanswered questions about the star arcanum! (Now I know why they called it the MYSTERY of Aaravos instead of the SECRET’S of Aaravos).
Once again, thanks for sharing your thoughts about this because I have been clueless for weeks! (I’m also very glad because when that first teaser dropped I was a bit scared that Callum tried to commit suicide by falling from a big hight since he wanted Rayla to kill him in season 4).
Haha no problem, I glad you liked it! Also, yea no, he's probably not doing anything like that, but it is true that there are far more mysteries than answers with Aaravos 😂

i was thinking about what the oposite of the star arcanum might be for a while, i didn´t realise that its literly on the cube, but i thought that they might be a spectrum (i also thought the ocean was the other side of the spectrum for the stars, but i think sky makes actualy a bit more sence). im also interested in why the star arcanum is glowing when the orphan ueen is holding it, not to mention what is Lyola´s story (hope i spelled that right) i think they find the crown that holds the three diamonds, but without the dimonds in them, then Callum will have to find a diferent way and as a resoult he tryes this blindfold thing that is suposed to make him feel closer to the stars and such, but honestly my theories regarding that aren´t thought out much. Looking forword to your other videos and that we can theorise about something else again. i would also be intersted in a stream, but i doubt i would be able to catch it live, so i hope you upload a recording of it here or somewhere, so that i can at least watch it later.

Also, about the Orphan Queen thing, it's actually a part of the video that was inspired by our theorising! ...I think it could be her using it to unlock the book, which might be how she could uncover Aaravos' evil
@@TheGlowingHay i think she was able to uncover his evil because He tryed to manipulate her too. And to convince her He awnsered all her question s or uncovered a bit too much about what He did, she then collected evidence And then revealed everything, tho you might be right that she opened the book, tho it was said that Callum is the first human to conect to the primal sources and the First prima Mage in centuries, so that might kind of contradict that theory

The fact that Aaravos hated the other star-touched elves for their apathy is very interesting. But it seems strange that they should be immortal, considering what the Merciful One says in the teaser.

I'm guessing that they see themselves as stardust, but able to take form whenever they like, unlike mortals who don't have power over that "stardust". I do wonder if they can die though

"Star Arcanum....Reality-altering"
So it's like wishes. I doubt all the Star-touch elves are like genies but still. Maybe some of their magic CAN grant wishes. Also, I probably already said this before here on your channel but I think Callum is going to make a wish like "I wish Dark magic never even existed in the first place" and if made true, Soren will be gone. And so will Callum and Rayla's memories of each other. Without Dark magic,they never would have met in the first place
Ooh that would be crazy. I doubt it, since they'd only have one season to fix it, and I feel like they struggle with condensing content already, but that would be... intense!
@@TheGlowingHay Who knows? Maybe it could be a two parter episode. Similar to what happened in the movie "It's A Wonderful Life"
It would also finally have the main cast acknowledge the good that Dark magic has done, intentionally or otherwise. I want them to learn that they can't have their cake and eat it too. Like I said before, people either "worship" Dark magic or think it's "eternally evil all the time no matter what" and there's no middle ground view about it. For a story about "gray morality",it really misses the mark with Dark magic and everyone's attitude about it.
Also, most of the main cast (except Rayla; she's a vegetarian) aren't vegans so technically they're not one to talk

But yea I would love for them to explore the "gray area" as you say, of Dark Magic. It would definitely be a great direction!

i feel like it does make good sense that the opposite of sky would be stars, sky magic is all about the air and the wind but those things don't exist in the void
That's true too, but the stars are in the sky... like why is Stars opposite from that side?
@@TheGlowingHay i guess i think of the sky as being part of our atmosphere and stars as something we can see beyond that, same as you can see the sun through the ocean or the clouds through the trees

I really like this video, and i can't wait for part 2! I would also love to have the Sky Arcanum. Idk why. I've just always thought it is so cool. I also have a question for you: Do you think s6 will be better than s3? If you dont know (reasonably), what have you been more exited for?

Do I think it will be better? ...no sadly. I think S3 is really hard to do better than, and these past seasons have been too...slow. If they manage to clear the pacing problems and give us real stakes and threats, it could contend though.
More excited for though, Season 4😭 ...was so excited to get more tdp, but between S3 and 6, I'd say 6 probably.

@@TheGlowingHay 100% agree! I was super exited for s4 to come out when I was waiting for it. I was really disappointed when I first watched it😢. I also don't think s6 will be better than s3... I just don't know how they could fix some of the problems they made, like Terry. I have been more exited for s6 than s3 because I genuinely didn't care to much for tdp back then compared to now. Has anyone thought that the reason he was crying was because he got imprisoned, he seems to be a being who wants to always be two steps ahead and maybe being beaten at his own game broke him, and the “merciful one” was comforting him and saying in short “we are all stardust” as he is now trapped and alone. Additionally he wanted to hear virens voice at his first introduction. More relates to the previous star vid tho
Yea I saw your previous comment, thanks. The idea of it breaking him, that he was beat at his own game, does make sense and would be really interesting. I wonder if at that point he would have reacted in this way though. I feel like he would have been more filled with spite than anything.

Oooh you mean the star map thing? Yea I've been looking at ways to cover it for a while now. I'm still trying to get it nailed down, but I'm working on it!

I have theory that if you master star magic you master all primal sources, so it is ver hard to master.
I did some research on the wiki and someone gave a theory that Aaravos could be Callums father. He could have a bit of star magic in him, hence he could master more than two primal sources.
I definitely think that the star primal is more overarching than just for star magic as well. As for Aaravos being Callums father, that's been a theory for the longest time, but was at some point so prevalent that the creators themselves debunked it and stated that he is not the father.
I wonder if Aaravos' influence still plays a role though!

Just a thought but we all know how callum used a moon opal to do moon magic and we also know how Stella has star magic so callum could use Stella’s fur to do star magic
That's an interesting idea, but the Moon Opals are the specific magic gems that hold primal magic in them. I doubt Stella's fur has the same abilities. That's what the Quasar Diamonds would be for

Maybe it is my imagination but from what I say in the dragon prince instagram posts it seems almost as if the key to aaravos also serves as a way to learn or use every other type of magic, that or star touch elves can use any type of magic . Or rather they don’t use ‘star’ magic but they weave reality to do what they want it to do , kinda like dark magic but natural. So almost like infinite spells basically.
Hmm would you mean that Aaravos is almost like "creating" the other Arcanums with his power? And Dark Magic is like the antithesis to that, where instead of creating energy, it needs to use that energy to create something different? That would be interesting!

@surgeplayz6404 Thank you so much! That would be massive if true. I like the idea of the Dark Magic connection, but i don't quite know if the Star magic created the other ones. I would rather say that they existed, simultaneously, but in different ...realms? But I see where you're coming from. I've been spending a lot of time looking to see if there are more things through which we can draw relations between Star magic and Xadia and other Magic. And I'm keeping your theory in mind to see if there are things that support that!
@@TheGlowingHaymaybe not create the other ones but rather my idea is all the magic manipulates reality differently, moon illusions etc . However what I think is rather than making only one thing happen it create entirely different outcomes depending on who uses it like your general magic spells -levitation- or maybe even wishes or such like genies . More like omnipotence only restricted by their imagination and the rules of their tribe . Sorry for the phrasing used btw .

I thought about this, I also thought about a much more devious theory, as to who is Callum's father, but regardless, I doubt Callum is. I really think they want him to be fully human, so that the impact of a Human mage doing primal magic ...probably will convince the cosmic order to lay off or something...idk exactly
I wonder if Callum could potential reach a level of transend and become a star-touch elf. I mean how many can you say would pass that up? its a great chance to explore and see things beyond the reach.
Yes absolutely! I think especially since Callum is always looking to learn new magic, it's entirely likely as well!

What if aravose wants callum yo get the nova blade because its capable of destroying his prison freeing him so he will control him again once he has it and makes callum telease him
YES, I've been thinking about the Nova Blade as well! We know so little about it, and I sincerely doubt it would actually "stop" aaravos. And we know Aaravos is planning something. That would be a brutal discovery for Callum.
If Callum get the star arcanum would he become immortal ?
I wondered that too... I don't know if it's a part of the arcanum, or a part of the magic they do? ...maybe it's just the being that is immortal, and happens to also have the Star Primal. I would think Callum wouldn't be, but that he would be mich more powerful.
Hey! Me again :/ I just wanted to ask what the significance of sol regem being at the top of Aaravos’ map is? Like I know he’s the arch dragon of the sun but why is he above the stars and by that logic shouldn’t Rex igneous be at the bottom? Also I bet you any money you want the first episode of S6 is gonna be called something along the lines of “the rising sun”
Glad you're here again! We actually know the episode titles of S6, I haven't covered them yet though, I didn't think that was too interesting, but I could.. to Sol Regem, that is an interesting thought, I think it's more that Sol Regem is like the signature King of Dragons. Like they used him way more than Avizandum in Promo to display the fact that there are Dragons in Xadia. So my guess is that it's more an aesthetic choice to tie in elements of "the ruler of Xadia" over the whole map of it. Buuuuut having said that, I love making theories out of things exactly like this, so maybeeee ...we'll cook up something
I had no idea they had been revealed, can’t wait to see your next few vids they’re amazing! Also perhaps if were gonna cover sol regem/arch-dragon of dark magic perhaps Aaravos will take control of Pharos again and uses the sun seed to corrupt sol regem. It’s clutching at straws I know, but it’s obvious Pharos will serve a more significant role later in the series. Anyway hope you have an amazing weekend! You so deserve it making like a billion videos in a week.
@DeviousRex-mv1oo haha thank you! Actually the idea of him corrupting the sun seed was something I thought about. I ended up dropping it when we saw a shot of the ceremony in earlier teasers, and it seemed too early in the season for that to happen. But honestly it still could well be. I definitely think the fact that Pharo is somehow linked to Aaravos will become important for sure!
