The last option to place the phone in the freezer for 20 mins, did it for me. I was so discouraged and almost didnt want to do it. Watched other videos and nothing else worked so with nothing better to do, i set my timer and threw the phone in the freezer. After said time, i pulled it out not expecting much. Hit the two buttons to power on and lo and behold, that beautiful samsung logo came up....I couldnt believe. I have my replacement phone and just needed this to come on one last time so i can transfer my data and send this POS back. I never leave comments but had to this time, thank you!

Man it worked for few minutes like first 10-12 min and then it was back to blank screen. Exchanged few emails with the Samsung team and lastly had to pay for the new folder at Samsung service center. I had expected better from Samsung.

Well that was about 1&1/2 years ago, and I dropped my z phone 3 on the marble slate floor in the bathroom, and right away the inside Turned black RIGHT AWAY😢😢! I was not too worried because I THOUGHT I had insurance, so when I called to have it replaced , t the VERY RUDE woman on the phone told me I have NO INSURANCE AND HAVEN'T HAD since the second month!!!!!! The dumb kid at the att store , put me down for one month but I STILL PAID that extra 50$ for both phones to have it! It didn't make no sense to me HOW THEY COULD screw up like that and DENY that I didn't have insurance, And I said I would NOT BE SO DUMB TO BUY TWO PHONES THAT ARE ABOUT THE SAME PRICES MINE WAS 1,800 AND THE OTHER ONE WAS 1700$ AND you have to be stupid not too get Insurance for TWO phones! @barice5813 the video explains the reason for doing these things is because a ribbon came loose after a drop. The acts are meant to push that ribbon back in its socket. If yours stopped working without a drop, then it's probably not a ribbon, and these things may not fix your issue.

Worked for me on my Fold 4 but only temporarily. It goes back out randomly. The tap method on the whole phone worked for me. Taking it back to get a new one for a permanent fix.

Nothing worked so far on my F4. Massaged it several times, after hard tapping the screen is now completely black. Before I had a small useable area. After taking out of the freezer, the folding screen still doesn't work, and the battery went down to 1%.
Same thing and it seems the only choice is to go to a phone repair store (not sure if it's hardware or not) i hope it's not that complex that needs to buy a part or something! Fold 4 😢
I have this issue. Tried the methods and my front screen came back on eventually 2/3 weeks ago. But my bluetooth only works for music but not calls. If someone calls and my bluetooth is on the whole phone crashes. Now the main screen is dead and the front screen comes on but does not respond. Very frustrating and expensive piece of tech.
Any update on this issue ? I also have that on the 4. Bluetooth died all of a sudden, and trying to use the inner screen kills both, the small one eventually comes back to life
So after the 5th generation. This problem still exist? 😢 I have the fold 3, and I have tried this steps & didn't work.. I spend USD 500 to replace all of the the inner screen, only due to bad cable connection.. Samsung should fixed this problem after a 5th generation.. 😡

It's good and quickly sent to service center. 100% your LCD is malfunction and are intermittently dying off. If your warranty is over. It's is expensive to replace the LCD
I fixed mine by turning off the phone, then start up in safe mode by holding the volume up button and the power button for five seconds. Select and clear the cache. Then restart.
I tried all of these. None of them work. My main small screen works, but when I unfold the phone more than half way, the big screen turns black. I can still hear it running, but can't see it, and now my phones over heating

They will fix it for free under the manufacturer warranty if it's not physical damage. My Z Fold4 had a black ink line on the inside crease and they fix mine for free then I return it back to Samsung to upgrade to the Z Fold5. I just got my first black screen after 20 days of receiving this phone that's why I'm watching this video. The volume down and power button method just brought my phone back to life 😊
My flip 5 is less than a week old and encountered the black cover screen and then apps widget was blank and system IU keeps on crashing. So dissapointed and been a samsung user for years, my family are all iphone users Iam the only loyal samsung user, I hope samsung will fix this issues. I fixed the issue by doing hard reset but then didnt expect this to happen on a almost brand new phone. I hope it doesnt happen often.:(

When you buy this phone, have an extra 600-800 $ in case the screen stops working so you can fix it yourself 🥲

When I have mine closed and using the front screen and decide to open the phone it goes to black instead of what I had on the front screen.
