I had a Supcase for my Z Fold3 and the only thing it didn't stand up against was freeway traffic when I accidentally left the phone on my trailer while moving. I am a class #1 destroyer of cell phones, and this case stood up well. Loved the s-pen holder, kickstand, and drop protection! Highly recommend! I only wish it had a beltclip because that is why I lost the phone when I didn't have any pockets to put it in!
thanks for sharing your experience, as you said a beltclip would be awesome, if i get a heavy duty case i'm concerned it won't fit in my pocket and clipping it on the outside of my pocket sounds like a great alternative.
@yupjuliansje you'll be fine with the Supcase and it will definitely fit in your pocket all I wear is chinos and I never had a problem still have it on my fold 3 to this day 🤙🏾🖖🏾✌🏾
Jared 1st time watcher, and thank you for your review! I bought the caselogy case, and it's a very nice case for my fold 5! Thanks again, Jared! I wish nothing but the best for you and your channel!
I tend to try a few cases and then just use one for everything. The trick is to find one that does everything. At this point, I'm using the Samsung Spen case - the only issue I had was that it had no kickstand and it didn't work with my magnetic car mount. However, I added a stick-on metal kick-stand from Amazon for about $8 which works excellent and has the added benefit of now working with my magnetic car mount because the kickstand is metal. I'm now pursuing a couple of carbon fiber cases because I find the Samsung case too bulky - carbon fiber cases are slim and strong and well protected. They come as Magsafe compatible so will work with my magnetic car mount as well and I can add a kickstand to it. No place for the pen...I can live with that...I rarely use it.
Hinge protection is actually really super nice. Any miniscule amount of dust or lint or whatever getting into the hinge will prevent it from opening fully flat. It's often impossible to fix without taking it to someone that can disassemble it.
I would highly suggest the sinjimoru silicone strap as an amazing addition to any case. It makes holding this phone incredibly easy and works with any phone/case since it slides under the camera hole and the USBc plug part of the case.
this just changed my mind from getting the Samsung hand strap case to getting the i-Blason Armorbox Red and Black Case along with the Sinjimoru Silicone Strap Pro to have the best of all cases in one
2:52 I had the spigen case for my fold 2 and the first opportunity for it to protect my phone, the front part popped off and my front screen got cracked. I was very disappointed. It looked good and it looked like it would protect but in the end, it did not. I currently have the 5. I've had it for a couple of days now. I just got the Samsung case with the S Pen when I bought it from. Best Buy
I just purchased a Z Fold5 today after owning a Z Fold2 for almost 3 years, which is still in near mint condition. A case with hinge protection is a must for me, not just to protect the hinge piece itself but more importantly to keep dust and the like from getting into the mechanism. In addition I'd also recommend a protective film for the hinge. Even with the hinge protector I can see all kinds of blemishes on the film I've had on it for years.
Thank you very much. I too like the slim case/s. Not so bulky. But I also like and prefer the other case/s with the built-in front screen protector and the hinge protector that provides the grip function.
I bought the Slim S Pen case with the Fold 5. The only downside is that is pretty much the only case that stores the Slim S Pen, all of the other cases I have found only store the full size S Pen.
I got the cream color case with the peach s-pen from Samsung. I love the slim fit with the s-pen. I don't like those cases with the bulky hinge cover...
The ones that do close on their own often get stuck. I had a case with a hinge on my Pixel Fold but don't use it because it only added extra bulk and wore out my hands

Wish the fold case manufacturer comes out the hinge protector to be flip to the back camera side instead of the cover screen side when open up the phone.
I have z fold 5 and the case that is your favorite. I hate not having room to put on a ring or flap to hold on. Is there something to buy that would work?
They need to create more attachments for the standing case. I want an s-pen attachment and a mag safe attachment. There isn't one case that fits the bill as being slim and protective while maintaining all the functionality the fold is meant to have. Fold case doesn't protect the cameras what so ever.
My big question is if it doesn't have a hinge protector, what is the best way in your opinion to protect the hinge? Is there a film you would suggest? Thanks
Spigen Ultra Hybrid Zero One is my favorite, it is slim and looks great. I hate cases with hinge protection, I get why people use it, but I just hate bucky phones.

Would you happen to know if the Fold 5's screen would be affected if it has two layers of screen protectors. I have a Spigen screen protector installed already and been meaning to get a new case. I got really interested with the Supcase UB Pro, but I am a bit hesitant with the built-in screen protector.
I've been having severe issues with cases coming with screen protectors, leading them to constantly eat inputs, especially around the edges. Besides the Spigen, are there any you know of with a hinge protector and no built-in screen protector? Any advice here would be amazing.
When writing with the spen one wants to lay the device down flat on a table, but all of these cases have a bump so it does not lay down flat and it rocks teetering on the pen holder. If only the s pen could be attached on the edge somehow or the case could be thick enough to not get the s pen holder bump.... Maybe we have to wait for Samsung to embed the s pen in the device. Sux.
the slim case? does it cover any of the front screen? just got an temporary cheap cover, but the problem is that it cover a tiny bit of the Keyboard when using the front screen, super annoying!
Really wanted a good case like the ub Pro but even though it's a case for the Fold five, it still says it's only compatible with the Fold 4 S Pen what is the point in that!
Is there not a single case thats decent and usable that doesnt rely on adhesives? is the design of a fold really such that a case just wont stay on without one? Can you even buy more adhesives, standalone and cheap, for these if you need more? I assume people sell 3rd party ones that will fit and work. I dont plan to buy the s pen so i dono, the strap&stand one looks nice while some of the bulky ones look like great protection but prob just too big.

@chrisminton516 and I have both cases and they're obviously different shades
They should release the case with hinge protection while not having the bump on the back and resivid to a point we're we don't need the stickers.
Sux.
the slim case? does it cover any of the front screen? just got an temporary cheap cover, but the problem is that it cover a tiny bit of the Keyboard when using the front screen, super annoying!
the s pen case for me was not great. I have issues with the pen rotating in the holder and falling out.
No hinge protect is not ok, but good review.
You could actually use the samsung z fold 4 pen holder on the samsung z fold 5 standing case.
I own the first spigen armour shown here. Good build quality, ridiculously expensive. I paid 110€
Spigen all the way
Je vais bi1tôt l'acheter vous avez des conseil merci
Ty
2:12 had me dieing
I appreciate it too when cases come with extra adhesives... but why did Samsung not just put the sim tray on back half?!
I have come to understand that Samsung thinks deeply about some details, and not at all about others.
