I'm definitely team narrow front screen. Moved from an S22U to Fold 4 and now Fold 5 and have never looked back. Those things are impossible to use with one hand. This is all about comfortable one-handed use, if you want a bigger screen, open that badboy up! That's what Samsung want you to do, to show off that thang! This thing feels so nice in one hand when closed with the new hinge making it a little narrower. I wouldn't be against being a tiny bit wider to appease more people, but definitely not shorter,. That extra bit of width could fit the S-Pen in and give a bigger internal screen as a bonus so people can stop complaining! It would need to be even thinner though. Thanks for being the first RUclipsr to actually show that you can just rotate the screen inside if you want that aspect ratio like the Pixel. That's exactly what you should do for videos. No-one else seems to use common sense like this!
Hi. May i know how’s the battery life? I want to get rid of my iPhone 13 Pro and was thinking about S23U, but the fold 5 is looking like a better choice.. i am just worried about the battery. My usage is basically youtube vids, instagram, excel spreadsheets, writing notes, stuff like that. Thanks
Make it wider but not shorter. That fixes the front screen ratio issue and also gives us an 8 inch internal display while making room for better camera hardware, more battery, and maybe even S-Pen integration.
People have feelings about that outer display. I like it. It's not for prolonged use. It's for the quick stuff that comes up during the day. It's narrow enough to be a good fit in the pocket. It allows one handed use for most people. If it was a one screen phone, I'd probably join the chorus, but it's NOT the only screen here. We bought this device because it opens into a small tablet, that's still pocket portable. Side note: I want to be able to have harps playing when I open my Fold 5. Is that possible? Anyway, I feel like we have completely moved away from the large slab phones, when we choose a folding phone. We have a bit smaller outside screen and a much larger interior screen. In my opinion, this is a perfect combination.
I'll use the outside for most of the time. The phone if I'm actually doing something constructive that needs it. I mean, I love my fault but I don't need to be walking down the street with it unfolded. Most people are exactly the same. Most people that I see you use the smaller screen, most of the time. I think he's perfectly usable.
I ordered this phone yesterday. I'm a fan of the narrow and tall outer display and would like it to be ever so slightly more wide (but still narrow in general). I don't want them to shorten it. I love being able to use the finger print scanner to bring down the notification panel.
I've had it for a week now, and it's refreshing to have a phone that I can use comfortably one-handed. I don't have the largest hands but have thick fingers. I haven't had any issues with the outer display. In fact, I prefer it when I'm out and about
Personally, I like the narrow front display. It makes basic functions like phone calls, checking texts/emails, and using Spotify really easy. When I actually want to watch videos, read, or type an email, I use the tablet mode. The usage of the front and inside screens are totally separate, and both serve different functions, which to me is perfect.
Another great video! I grabbed both the Pixel Fold and the Z Fold 5 and like you said earlier in the video, there's just something about the Pixel Fold. I used the Z Fold for almost 2 weeks exclusively while I was deciding which one to keep. They're both absolutely excellent devices but I don't know, the passport style outer display just keeps me more than the taller, narrow display. Pixel Fold: Great phone experience when closed, sub par tablet experience due to apps not being built for that landscape tablet orientation. Z Fold 5: Okay or sub par phone experience when closed, excellent BIG PHONE experience when you open it up. With that being said I still can't shake the thoughts that my folding devices don't scratch my tablet itch. Especially when watching videos, I just get frustrated when I see black bars and grab one of my slab phones for comparison and I'm essentially watching the same size video unless I zoom in and crop out a shit ton of content lol
Hello, love the review. I have a question for you or anybody using the Z Fold 5. Can you access Goggle Assistant or Gemini by talking to the phone when the screen is locked? I have a brand new Redmagic 9 Pro that can´t do that, however my old trusty OnePlus 6 performs that task like a champ. Thanks in advance!
I must be the only one that loves the slim cover display! How is not having an internal pen support a con? When it supports the pen and others don’t lol😂 one handed texting is amazing dunno what you talking about.
The best pen is the one you have with you. Without being able to internally store the S-pen, I never have it with me. An interesting thing is that if you get a standard capacitive stylus, it works with the Fold's outer screen. I bought a case that came with a stylus, and it works with both the inside and outside screens, so I'm not sure why Samsung designed a pen that doesn't work on both.
@@ArizonaDetailCorp That may be so, but there are styluses that do work with the outer screen, so why didn’t Samsung provide a stylus that worked with both? Their S-Pen is overkill when a basic stylus will work just fine. I have a cheap stylus that works with both screens that probably isn’t worth $2, so I don’t even use Samsung’s.
man i have a iphone 13 pro max, but this phone has been on my mind a lot, wondering if its worth the upgrade to switch? if you can answer this question honestly i would apreciate it
I have a Fold 4 and find I never use the front screen, so I guess that puts me into the shorter and wider category. I'm wondering how good the Honor Magic V2 will be considering it's ultra thin, making it the thickness of a non-foldable, and has a wider, shorter screen. It may go worldwide in Q1 2024, so we'll have to wait a while.
Thanks for this! Just today, 5 years after purchase, I am having the FIRST issues with my Fold 1, i.e. first generation! I have loved every day of those 5 years with it. I'm thinking I'll go 5 now, rather than 6... so far it seems the better choice. FYI I also have iphone 15 PM for various reasons, but the fold is my ride or die.
I picked up the Z Fold 5 and Watch 6 Classic based on ur reviews and Samsung's trade-in deal. This is my first fold, I came over from an S22 Ultra, and I'm loving it. Yo, I peeped those black rims on the whip 😂
Samsung Knights Unite I Love My ZFold 5 I Can't Go Back To A Regular Phone I Use The Cover Screen And The Inside I Am Getting My Money's Worth I Got It On Launch Day I Am Learning New Stuff Every Day It's The Best Samsung Forever Awesome Video !!!!
I may have already said this somewhere else a million times regarding the lack of built-in S Pen phone silo and I'll mention it one more time today. The S Pen 🖊 is a phenomenal piece of production device and a must-have. It's loaded with enhanced features at one's fingertips and affords one ease of screen navigation. One really does not fully understand their need for it until they find themselves without it for such things like drawing and photography. The preference for some of us Z Fold users with regards to the S Pen (especially one that in the future that will be built in) is the shape of the S Pen the writing device - flat. In that case, it may be ideal for many to have that S Pen built in function while for other Z Fold users (may be not). Having a flat end writing device is only functionable if one does not mind writing with toothpicks. Which I am not a fan of. I'd prefer a round writing device that fits my hands naturally and comfortably. 😊 CJ, you're about the few influencers I put up on the big screen to watch - your videos are always informative and entertaining.. Keep up the good times, PLAYAH!
I'm loving mine! My hope is that Sammy makes it wider (but not shorter) - just wide enough to silo the pen inside (and maybe rain just a little more battery).
Yo CJ, have you ever use the note 10 6.3 model not the plus... what your thoughts on Samsung making that the ZFOLD new form factor when folded. I been saying note 10 6.3 which is my go-to side phone now, aside my ZF3, which I still like, would be the perfect aspect ratio, plus give ZFold the biggest main display of it's line up. 5:42
Not quite 4 weeks with the Z Fold 5 and still super happy with it - however I’m coming from the Note10+ so the Fold life is new to me Really enjoying your vids man, and only a couple of hundred to your 100k mark - shows as 99.8k at the moment. A massive early congrats Had to giggle about the package of the watch and phone. Here downunder, I paid less for the combined Watch 6 Classic 47mm and Z Fold 5 than for the Fold 5 on it’s own - dunno how that worked but it did 🤣🤣🤔🫣🤷♂️😂 Oh, do you have a vid showing that nova launch thing you mentioned, am keen to learn more, that looks sweet Keep living the cheer - your smile is awesome
Wanted to ask as you are using Samsung Fold 5 , how is the durability of inner screen ? I am planning to buy one this Nov, so wanted to know how durable Samsung Z fold 5 inner screen is? There is so much on social media on the z fold inner screen peeling off issues etc iwhich worries me and that's why I am thinking to buy an iPhone pro max 15 , I like to use my phone for 2 to 3 years, do you think Samsung inner screen would last that long? N anyways Samsung warranty sucks . Can u please let me know. Thanks
I disagree with making the front screen wider. This would mean it would compromise the one handed operation of the phone. A lot of times you're walking and carrying something and swipe to text is so much faster and easier on the front screen with one hand. Texting is easy if you just use swipe to text. People who can't use them, just can't spell that's why they don't like it. Lol!
I wouldn't mind a bit wider, but the 5 is fine to me. They definitely don't need to make it shorter, though, that will mess with the tablet experience to much imo
@CJKnowsTECH Yeah, but I think the "flex mode" is supposed to be a feature that is improved on even more in the future, and having the phone shorter will make it far less wide in flex mode.
@@howardsmith2925 Flex mode is superior on the Pixel Fold due to the better wider aspect ratio. Watching YT in flex mode on the Pixel is 100X better than on the Fold 5 which is horrible.
@amfrepo I don't think the only reason for flex mode is youtube, and you obviously haven't held a Z Fold because the flex mode is far superior on the Samsung, just like the rest of the software. Nobody would want their screen taller than it is wide if using a laptop, and that is what flexmode is... a screen wider than it is tall is a much better experience for productivity, the front screen being a taller display is fine because it is for consuming content quickly, like writing a quick response or scrolling shorts.
@@howardsmith2925 we disagree on that because for true productivity an 8 inch display just doesn't cut it for me. I use my laptop when doing anything serious as it would have an attached keyboard and trackpad. I don't include productivity as watching RUclips while scrolling Twitter. That is the normal creators idea in their reviews. Try and edit three Excel sheets on a Galaxy Fold 5.
The display is wider than it was on z fold 2 coming from z fold 2 to the 3 and then the 5, front screen is wider than it used to be, almost as wide as the z flip, I think as tech users we got spoiled and we asking for a lot when the tech isn't there yet, if you want a wide get a pixel because I know for a fact that they not gonna go that route because they are Sumsung , you want a wider display you have options. Tall note form factor, with rumored the fold 6 having S Pen inside of it wait for that on till next year. This SD 8 Gen2 is legit. The fact we comparing a flat phone to a folding phone is getting silly, do a pixel comparison, thats a better comparison....IMHO. I love your energy and your love for Samsung. The camera are like they came from the regular s22 s23 set up ....which are good in themselves. 50 mp main camera was my favorite for the price of the phone. This is my opinion and in no way bashing anything just giving you my experience, sometimes we gotta see the bigger picture these companies painting.
Team wider, still rocking my Fold 3 and game on it every day. Inner screen still holding strong. Not looking at updating till this one breaks or inner screen messes up cause like you said screen and camera are still the same and no pen. So why spend more to get the new when and most the same features are present.
I had the fold 3 inner screen broke about 5 months before payoff...was going to stay away from fold after that.....But got 1000 off new 5... so going to give one more shot, I love the narrowness of the phone when closed I have small hands.... Sure I love the pen feature of the 24 but I text more, and swipe more then write so the narrowness is a bonus. I will still purchase a pen for the occasional use though. The inner screen is a plus, when you do need it.... I barely used mine so sad it failed. Will update once I have used the 5 for a bit...Thanks for these type of videos...
Bro ... I was going to keep my zfold 4 for another year but when Samsung offered me $1200 trade in credit for my zfold 4 that was just repaired by Samsung and its now out of warranty, it was not a no brainer for me. Offer ends today.
Love my Z fold5.. Been an Iphone user for 9 years and switched to this and haven't looked back.. Also I feel like any wider when its folded and it wouldn't fit properly in the hand and that added width would make it super bulky or more bulkier than it is. Its like an Iphone on the front and when opened a tablet.. Cant beat it.
I work at night and outside and the battery lasted me day and half, using the big screen but lowered the brightness. I see it perfectly in my environment
Have the fold 4. Sim card stopped reading when I opened the phone and then now the inner screen doesn't work. The phone doesn't even open all the way anymore. Never dropped this phone either and had it for a little over a year. Going back to the S23U
@carver9312 I did. I submitted a claim for device exchange. I'm waiting on the device to come in and I have to send in my broken phone. Since the phone is paid off, I'll probably be buying the S23 ultra and doing a trade in with the fold 4. This phone is DEF not as durable as i thought it would be
Got my Z Fold 5 for 2 weeks now and loving it. Something I did notice since unboxing it. The fold line on the center of inside screen seems to show more after a couple of uses closing and opening. It could be my mind playing tricks on me I'm not sure. Anyone here notice the same ?
Duuuudddeee! I loved this review. Your personality is awesome. Mine is in the mail and on the way. I have the 3 and forgot all about the 4 and boom the 5 is out LOL
I only miss the Photo Gallery, and S Pen, & a few Multitasking things I did that I can't do with the Pixel Fold. But I'm glad it improved a little. I want the Z Fold 6 to have the front screen as the Pixel Fold. But keep the same height Samsung. Do that and I would come back.
Swapped out my ZF3 for the icy blue blickie with the matching S Pen case. Agree. This is the truth in foldables. My S23 Ultra is STILL my daily driver. It's the best all around solution for me, but my Z gets daily use too.
I'm still rocking the Z Fold 3 in a SUPCASE with an S-Pen holder in the hinge proctor. I'm holding out until they can fit the S-Pen into the phone. Or I might trade it in if they increase the size of the phone. I notice that as much as I love the large screen it is technically not wider in 16:9 as the S23. The front screen is a complete non-factor for me and I only use it to dial numbers or read a text quickly. So I'd totally be happy if a future Z-Fold was big enough to at least match the 16:9 video size on an S23 when unfolded. As far as using apps where the 16:9 aspect ration is not important, the Z-Fold 3 is working for me just fine. The newer camera's were not enough of a deal breaker for me. But if they increase the size so that when opened we can watch a 16:9 video that is actually as big or bigger than an S23 - I'll have to buy that one!!
I like it the way it is, only things, more memory (and i got 512gb version), pen included and the crease to finally be gone.. But this is my 1st foldable to I'm happy.... I hwld myself back for 4 exertions to try it, I thought 5 should be how I want it. Next will be z fold 7 or z fold 8/9 for me. My everyday runner is s23 Ultra. Had the s22 Ultra and sold it. Using the galaxy watch 5 pro that won't be changed for a couple of years im happy with it.
iPhone 14 Pro Max is 2000 nits. It’s the brightest in the market. That’s in sunlight. But there’s settings you can set to make it a normal brightness setting. I tested mine at 2200 nits. Screen just shines.
It's literally a Fold Edition S-pen: geni.us/FoldEditionSPen Before accusing me of something know it's a fact first...This is not the "new" fold edition S-pen which I'm not a fan of but it's definitely a Fold Edition S-pen. Respect
Hi from Germany. I need to ask you a question . Firstly I love your reviews. My question is on the fold 6. I am a dedicated note user and had hoped after its disclosure, that the fold would take ist place. So much screen estate and a spen is for me the perfekt successor but they chose the s24 ultra. My opinion wrong choice. Now I've only seen reviews of the honor v2, but it's honors second year and i feel that the fold 6 is just trying to catch up with honor. It has already got everything and more than what they are planning and that makes me angry so angry that i am even thinking about changing after many years of Samsung loyalty. Honor /Huawei have been just as innovative as Samsung and have already beaten them at their own game. Size, battery size, spen usability one both screens, Thinness, brightness and even the gadgets are matched or surpassed. I don't think they are doing enough to be the King pin . What are your thoughts?
The ONLY reason I’m still using my iPhone 14 PM over my Z Fold 5 is iMessage here in the US. The Fold 5 smokes the iPhone. CJ, remember Samsung doesn’t want to cannibalize their other phones (ex S23U), so some phones like this one won’t have as good of a camera. It’s a trade off for one device over an another and is done intentionally by Samsung.
Why no other reviewers talk about this, baffles me. I totally agree. You want an S Pen go buy an S23 Ultra. It’s not like you can’t use the S Pen on the Fold. But if they put it inside the Fold, now there’s less room for battery and other components. I don’t want that. So then they’d have to change the design of the phone completely. Which I know some people want. But the point is, like you said, if Samsung gave you the S Pen AND all the Ultras cameras, you never buy the S series Ultra and not to mention it would seriously increase the already expensive price of the Fold.
For those of you comparing the Fold to chinese phones - They are not cheap, if not way more than the Fold, there is no trade-in which makes it even worse - Good chance your information is being sent to China, yeah you know its happening - There is no warranty, do you really want to spend $1500+ on a phone that tends to break due to the folding technology with no warranty? The choice is yours, I will be sticking with Samsung If Xiaomi, Oppo, and other chinese companies are comfident enough to go against Samsung Feel free to offer in the states with competitive pricing, promotion, and warranty I will consider it then
I know this isn’t a brand new review, but I definitely appreciate your perspective. I’ve been eyeballing a Z5 hard….only thing holding me back is I’m coming from team iOS after being stuck there for 10 years.
I've had a case on my phones since my first Nokia with the antennae and no internet, camera, or games lol. Can't imagine not using a case specially with these fancier phones that are super slick on the back and no bevels (I HATE phones with no bevels...always feels like I'm touching the screen when I don't mean to) Anyway....saw the 5 was coming out so I waited to find a refurbished 4 for a fraction of the cost and I don't see enough of a difference between the 2 to want to pay the difference. I got a wallet case so I replaced my wallet, phone, AND surface tablet for mobile sculpting/sketching. Pretty nifty.
You have to think about why they went with the form factor they did. Again, if youre using an S Pen, you need to be able to hold the device securely with one hand. If you rotate the Fold 5 and try to use the S Pen, it is not nearly as comfortable. The current layout is like having two phones side by side and that is perfect for multitasking and being able to reach the entire tablet comfortably while holding with two hands. I can reach the entire screen... but if you rotate it to the wide orientstion, its not as easy of a user experience. You can make it as wide as you want but remember this is still a phone, not a true tablet... so there are still some considerations on size with day to day use and reachability of the screen. Palmability of the opened phone, multitasking layout and being able to reach the entire screen. The cramped feeling of the front screen can be fixed by switching to Gboard. Theres one thing you cant change and that is the average size of human hands.
I understand but you could technically flip the phone back to that same form factor by turning it vertical off the fold was to change. You can do it with the Pixel Fold and get that same one handed use case
@@CJKnowsTECH the rotated form factor isn't the ideal case though because you have the crease running horizontal which makes it much more noticeable. I think they should just improve the front screen by trying to push the bezel as far out as they can without messing with the overall proportions of the phone. If they can somehow get it completely edge to edge and have the front screen overlap the hinge a little bit more I think that would fix the problem without messing with the proportions of the phone.
@@ArizonaDetailCorp A lot of people seem to be confused. When open these folds are de facto tablets which means you just have to switch 90 degrees from portrait to landscape or vice versa, this is not difficult and is what I do on my iPad mini daily 100 times! So the Pixel and Fold 5 are exactly the same when open. The problem is when closed the Galaxy Fold is awkward for the majority and a puzzling choice by Samsung. I ask why handicap the front display so you can open the inner display in portrait mode? What on earth advantage does that give? I do not get it! I believe they mucked up and the fact every other OEM does not do it, is a clear sign they have failed.
@@andyH_England do you own the Galaxy Fold? FYI it is NOT a defacto tablet because it is still a portable device where actual tablets are much less portable than these folding phones.
@@ArizonaDetailCorp My ipad Mini easily fits in my jacket pocket when out and about. I have the Fold 4 but do not use it at weekends, nights out or holidays as it is too bulky even folded. I use an S23 for outings like that as it is compact and light. The Fold 4 is only for workdays as it remains too bulky but I do end up using the iPad as it has an attachable keyboard.
Amazing review. Right now, I have the Samsung Ultra 23, and after watching this video, I think it is worth an upgrade to the fold 5. And even more so when it is more useful for work including documents. Thanks bro for this honest review
I just Got myself the Grey Fold5 for discount now. I Heard fold6 would not be any better just snapdragon 8 gen3 thats justa a minor update. Fold is fun two years ago and still is a fun and fresh design. Cant go back now to candy bars

Ive been binge watching these as I hop off the Apple wagon and try out the Z fold 5. I am quite excited and scared. I've never had a Samsung phone. Crossing fingers.
@@CJKnowsTECH Although you don't use protective cases, do you have any content on cases for the Z Fold 5? I used a Jeutuck case for my Z Fold 4, but it seems as though they went out of business.
I've just broke mine.... and I haven't even paid for it yet I've only paid £100 for my first payment. Mt second is on the 9th... but yeah. Its broke. I have no insurance so its £470 for it to be repaired.😢😢😢😢
I bought the Oneplus 12 over the Fold 5 because I can't any RUclipsr talk about how much it will cost to replace the inside screen. I don't have $300 lying around for insurance either. Don't want to buy the Fold 5 and later have to pay over $300 just to fix the inside screen. My first Android phone is the Oneplus 12. I'm a iphone fan boy since the iphone 3.
I had the surface duo, now I have the fold 5. Duo wider screen was better, but fold slides in and out of my pocket better. Between the two, samsung software wins me over. I am not buying another google phone, because i believe 😅they use to intentionally brick their old devices which were no longer supported (my opinion, no actual proof).

Samsung offering 1,200 on a z fold 4 trade in. Its pretty tempting to get it right now.
😂
@@CJKnowsTECH do you think it's worth it seeing as I have the 4?

Got that for my fold 2
Love it.
That must be in dollars because in uk they're offering £530 for 1tb model 😢
I got my Z Fold 5 because of CJ's recommendation, and I am glad I did.
Restrict! Glad you like it I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far
man i have a iphone 13 pro max, but this phone has been on my mind a lot, wondering if its worth the upgrade to switch? if you can answer this question honestly i would apreciate it
This phone is killing the iPhone
15:10 Hard agree!! S23 Ultra cameras on it would've been amazing. Also Hard agree with upping the size a bit to compensate and adding an S-pen slot!
Subscribed! I didn't even know what Nova Launcher was. You got any more customizable videos??
I will be making an updated one soon

Same, had an Iphone for 9 years and bought this and it's been a huge change but I'm loving it!
@Invertmini1212 for me its almost a year! And I'm still in love with this phone. Wouldn't go back to apple
What icon pack are you using on your fold?

CJ, you're about the few influencers I put up on the big screen to watch - your videos are always informative and entertaining.. Keep up the good times, PLAYAH!
Complaining about the camera hardware on a phone this expensive is not petty at all!
Would love to see a comparison / tips and tricks between Nova Launcher and One UI with Good Lock.
Not quite 4 weeks with the Z Fold 5 and still super happy with it - however I’m coming from the Note10+ so the Fold life is new to me

Thanks
I love the narrow form factor as I have smaller hands. I'm also running it without a case and went with a leather skin for the back.
Your video is clutch on the Fold 5. Converting from iOS after more than a decade. Loving my user experience with my Fold 5 so far
Nice! Glad you're enjoying it. Especially after a switch like that. Respect
Great vid man. But with NovaLauncher you cant use the taskbar?
I disagree with making the front screen wider. This would mean it would compromise the one handed operation of the phone. A lot of times you're walking and carrying something and swipe to text is so much faster and easier on the front screen with one hand. Texting is easy if you just use swipe to text. People who can't use them, just can't spell that's why they don't like it. Lol!
I bought it but worries regarding durability and folding any advice
I wouldn't mind a bit wider, but the 5 is fine to me. They definitely don't need to make it shorter, though, that will mess with the tablet experience to much imo
making shorter and wider will give you the exact same fold out except horizontally instead of vertically. Same tablet experience
So glad I found this channel! Just got me a Z Fold 5 and I'm loving it so far! Thanks for the content my brother!
No problem! Glad you're enjoying the Fold
I like the long narrow build. Not a fan of the pixel fold build.

Thanks for the review.
No problem
Bro ... I was going to keep my zfold 4 for another year but when Samsung offered me $1200 trade in credit for my zfold 4 that was just repaired by Samsung and its now out of warranty, it was not a no brainer for me. Offer ends today.
Right
You would be silly not to...
Nah bro. I'm sticking with my Fold4 for another year 😂
Fold 5>>>>>Fold 4, and I own/owned both.
Same
Have the fold 4. Sim card stopped reading when I opened the phone and then now the inner screen doesn't work. The phone doesn't even open all the way anymore. Never dropped this phone either and had it for a little over a year. Going back to the S23U
@@HSHIN19 so why didn't you send it back when the sim and the screen stopped working? Explain yourself
Anyone here notice the same ?
yes the crease is fragile. you should reach 11 months well safe so can claim warranty
I enjoy the size of the phone as is now. If they can just get that pen inside of the phone that would be perfect.
Wait until the z fold 6 with the s23 ultra front screen and s pen built in
Swapped out my ZF3 for the icy blue blickie with the matching S Pen case.
I love your personality, really enjoyed watching your review, very entertaining.
So, I think slab phones will be the equivalent of what flip phones r now, in 5 years.
iPhone 14 Pro Max is 2000 nits. It’s the brightest in the market. That’s in sunlight. But there’s settings you can set to make it a normal brightness setting. I tested mine at 2200 nits. Screen just shines.
4:04 Man, that's not the S-pen for the Z Fold 5, you are misleading your viewers man. Show the correct product if you are being honest and fair.
It's literally a Fold Edition S-pen: geni.us/FoldEditionSPen
Before accusing me of something know it's a fact first...This is not the "new" fold edition S-pen which I'm not a fan of but it's definitely a Fold Edition S-pen. Respect
The new slim s-pen case adds almost no bulk to it. That's the z fold 4 your talking about.
Still got my z fold 2 and going strong
What are your thoughts?
i think the Fold 5 should stay thing but get taller by 3/4". This way the aspect ratio is better when opened in landscape.
Finally, some people talking sens... started to lose hope on why couldn't people understand Samsung thinking process...
Can I stream two sporting events at a time on this?
What kind of discount Marques Brownlee stuff is this? 😂😂 Im just kidding man. I loved the review. You got a new sub right here.
For those of you comparing the Fold to chinese phones
- They are not cheap, if not way more than the Fold, there is no trade-in which makes it even worse
- Good chance your information is being sent to China, yeah you know its happening
- There is no warranty, do you really want to spend $1500+ on a phone that tends to break due to the folding technology with no warranty?
The choice is yours, I will be sticking with Samsung
If Xiaomi, Oppo, and other chinese companies are comfident enough to go against Samsung
Feel free to offer in the states with competitive pricing, promotion, and warranty
I will consider it then
I know this isn’t a brand new review, but I definitely appreciate your perspective. I’ve been eyeballing a Z5 hard….only thing holding me back is I’m coming from team iOS after being stuck there for 10 years.
I've had a case on my phones since my first Nokia with the antennae and no internet, camera, or games lol. Can't imagine not using a case specially with these fancier phones that are super slick on the back and no bevels (I HATE phones with no bevels...always feels like I'm touching the screen when I don't mean to)
Anyway....saw the 5 was coming out so I waited to find a refurbished 4 for a fraction of the cost and I don't see enough of a difference between the 2 to want to pay the difference. I got a wallet case so I replaced my wallet, phone, AND surface tablet for mobile sculpting/sketching. Pretty nifty.
holy fudge that ulta wide is wild !!! 12:33
Right now.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S21 fe, I love it, but I'm going to upgrade soon.

I bought the Oneplus 12 over the Fold 5 because I can't any RUclipsr talk about how much it will cost to replace the inside screen. I don't have $300 lying around for insurance either. Nice Tudor North Flag as well
I had the surface duo, now I have the fold 5. Duo wider screen was better, but fold slides in and out of my pocket better. Between the two, samsung software wins me over.
