Phenomenally crisp and comprehensive review, Ella! I have seen nearly 30 reviews and have a ZF5…. you are spot on! Hope you make sessions covering great apps to use and highlights of same…
If you consider that a Mac mini, ipad mini 256 with cellular, and an iPhone 14 pro 256 is around $2500 minimum. The Z fold gives you all three of these devices when you consider using dex as a desktop with generally better specs, suddenly the price doesn't seem as expensive to me. Oh and very professional and yet light hearted video as always. You're extremely good at what you do!
In many countries outside of the US the price might be extremely high, but when you put it that way it actually makes sense. People are spending around the same amount on other iPhone or Samsung flagship phones, so why not give the Z Fold a try? Plus, there are a lot of things to work with, but it has improved a lot since Z Fold 4. Nice comment. 👍
That’s a stretch. iPhone 14 Pro + iPad Mini I’ll give you, but this is much more comparable to a Chromebook than a Mac Mini. Dex is a nice feature, but it’s not going to replace a desktop for someone shopping Macs and PCs in that price range.
@@petepaxton5109 that makes one of us lol. I don't even have a Mac mini but I'd still take one or a PC over Dex if I needed to rely on a classic desktop for work or any of my hobbies.

@@0mildoo maybe you are right. Some people may consider an Mac mini to be more convenient than a foldable phone. But Z Fold comes with a S Pen, which makes writing much faster since you can handwrite rather than type. But if I would choose to open Dex, I would personally take a Tab S9 since Dex makes it work just like a laptop.
I REALLY appreciate that you DIDN'T do the thing every other tech channel is doing and talking about the apple event and Iphone 15. I really love your foresight on that. This was a fresh vid and I love your takes on tech!

New to your tech channel. Like everyone else is saying. I love the direct to the point and no music over your voice explaining the product. Also I like the fact you don't have an annoying introduction video.
I have always been the type who likes the straight to the point person. I don't like when someone gives a freaking story about the product before they review it.

Am anticipating your Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 review. Rumors of an improved aspect ratio due to design changes and internal storage of a S-Pen will definitely have me sold .

I love my Fold5 it's my first foldable and I don't regret it. One note I'd like to add in is I love being able to watch YT and go through comments at the same time and the video is still really large. My old Ultra22 I'd open the comments all the time and lose sight of the video I'm watching. Yes if you just want to watch a video and that's it it's not much of an improvement but multi tasking with a video playing is awesome. Tiktok is amazing too with being able to read comments while watching the video.

This is the best review I've found for this phone, I love that you jumped right into the review and didn't start talking about apple which is what I love.
I hope we get the high end cameras next year. Doesn't have to have the periscope lens but atleast have the main and ultra wide cameras that the S24 Ultra will have.

Excellent video. Seen this on my fold 4,will probably trade in when the fold 7 gets announced, or when we get under-screen selfie technology on the Galaxy S series.. I've never seen any RUclipsrs bring up the RUclips aspect ratio difference, which is VERY important to me and a noticeable distinction
Fold 7? That's next year! Really hoping they make the cover screen 6.8in instead of 6.2in. Also hoping it can do 45w super fast charging

If they add a bigger front screen, bigger battery and include the spen in the phone, I will definitely pay the monies they require to be in this foldable club.

I was with apple for over 10 years. When I first saw the Z Fold 5 I fell In love. I've been having for a month now and I can't see myself going back to iPhone. The customization is my favorite, the big screen and definitely the productivity
I’m looking to switch from iPhone to this device too. What was the hardest part about making the switch? Do you still recommend the phone?
@justahugenerd1278 the hardest part about switching is leaving the apple eco system. If you're not in the apple eco system you should be fine. I had it all and just switched everything out except my MacBook. I highly recommend it. I'm still in love with my Z Fold 5
@@Darthmiguel89 Thanks for the response! The only other apple product I have is my iPad -- everything else I have is a PC. Actually Ella just made a recent video talking about the Samsung ecosystem and apparently Galaxy phones have a lot of ecosystem stuff with PCs! But that's great to hear that you're still in love with the phone :) it's looking more and more tempting now
@justahugenerd1278 again I highly recommend it. Just my opinion. The Samsung eco system is pretty nice, I had the Galaxy buds, the Watch, just bought a Samsung TV and sound bar and it all actually connects to each other lol

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is an amazing piece of technology, and I don't think I will ever go back to a candy bar type phone. I bought mine from Samsung a couple of weeks ago for only $800 for the 512 GB version. The battery life has been great so far even when using the main screen.
How'd you get it for 800?
@evaristourbaez9906 They gave me $1000 trade in for my S22 Ultra and a $120 discount for choosing the icy blue finish. They aren't offering those same deals anymore, and I am glad I took advantage when I did.

I'm still using my fold 3 from 2 years ago and haven't been very tempted to switch or upgrade even after my backing fell off by itself and the battery swelled and expanded, but i think that was more of tmobiles refusal to help than anything also i haven't tested it since shortly after getting the phone but i think i was able to open 4 of 5 apps in split screen, im also curious how the fold can recognize an s pen from the note and the fold edition
Looking for an upgrade, looked into the Galaxy Fold 5 and I was pretty impressed because I love to use multiple tabs for easier and convenient productivity 😌🤧
It goes even further than that with floating windows and goodlock
I advise waiting a little bit more because they might actually change the aspect ratio with the fold 6 (as we've seen the ratios they've been trying) !! I'm not sure but it's something I'm looking forward to!

The foldable phones on the GO, maybe bring along a travel sized keyboard to get even more productive when on the GO. Interesting point that you brought up about individuals not being able take advantage of the phone’s main back cameras when video calling and or even taking a selfie photo, but then again I don’t think there’s any flagship phone out there can do that, quite yet. Other than that, for the price of the folding phone it should be matching the S23 hardware specifications including the cameras, the only thing that really make a pholding phone the best phone in the market is the folding glass technology, know what I mean? Another so good a month later review and thanks you still make want to buy a folding phone, they are so good and durable now, jeje! What other folding phones out of the many flagship folding phones out there would you recommend? 😺🥰📲⌨️⭐️💎

Love my 4, but I cannot seem to find any info on fixing a glitch that I have. Whenever I open my browser and go to a search result or a webpage, then I open or close the phone to switch screens, the browser still shows but it is then completely blank with no way to get back to where I was :(
I have been using Zold 4 since the day it was released. Cant be happier with this phone. Looks like no huge upgrades in 5. Will likely wait till 6. I see my wifes iPhone 15 and laugh.
I want to love the Fold, I miss the Fold 3 and I'm always thinking of scenarios I'd use the Fold over the small S23 I have now but the one thing that stops me going back to the fold is the inner screen cracking by itself. No worries about structural integrity or lack of dust resistance, just the inner screen cracking by itself is a weight off my shoulders that I hope will be resolved in a future update. Otherwise, a joy to use.
Samsung needs some competition.
same issue with my fold4 and from what I hear it hasn't been resolved with the fold 5. DO NOT BUY THE FOLD PHONES
