Pressure with both fingers 1 cm right and ,5 cm down from the lowest lens resulted in a light click and SOLVED!!! Screen showed up on both main and secondary. I watched this video laughing. He's just beating the phone in different ways. But I gave it a shot. Holy @#$%! It worked. I was having both screens struggling to turn on, then flickering and shutting off randomly. Then the outside screen wouldn't come on at all, but the inside would. After this, they are both like new. This man is a wizard!
My main concern is why are the connections so loose? Tapping fixed my phone, but I'm worried about how long that will last. Shouldn't an $1,800 phone be better than this?

Tried all the steps didn't work at first. Tried again and again. After over 40mins my phone's middle screen came back on. However, the front screen was still blank. Tried again two more times and after the freezer step the front screen came on and went blank again. After the charging and troubleshooting all screens came on. So grateful. God bless you

Tapping the screen DOES WORK! It’s easy to do using 2 fingers. The screen can black out if you’ve dropped your phone even in a case. Thanks for the tip!

I dropped my phone and my front screen turned black, I did all the steps up to tapping and after the tapping the freaking front screen came on WOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW WTH? Unreal, but I'm grateful this guy put out this video, you just never know what could possibly work until you try. These instructions at least helped my situation.

My chipset for the bluetooth and wifi has went out after less than a year. Today my inner screen went black. The tapping method jolted it back to life again, by tapping the back of the phone next to the camera lenses. It still has to be sent in because my wifi and bluetooth are both broken still, and its only a matter of time before my innerscreen blacks out PERMANENTLY. But thank you for helping fix the inner screen for now. Im absolutely livid that i pay damn near $2K for a phone and it just so happens to be the phone that has lasted the LEAST amount of time while babying it the entire time. Hell, back in 2016 i had an HTC 3 that fell into the AC unit, while the fan was spinning, and it had a huge gash in the top of it and the back. Camera, screen, everything still worked. I used that phone for another year before getting a new phone.. Not today. These days you pay x2 what that phone cost, and you get a year (or less) of use before it can possibly go FUBAR on you... Its a sad sad world we live in. Capitalist evil greedy corporations face no repercussions for this. And when they do, its just a slap on the wrist for them. Samsung can sell an absolute garbage fold phone knowing about their glaring limitations, for $2K, because theres no other competitiors. They should be ashamed. Never have i ever had to send a phone off to be repaired. Yet here i am, having to go to walmart to buy a cheap $40 verizon phone to use for work while i send this $2K piece of horse manure in for repairs. Yikes.

Brother in Christ, you are a life saver lol. Now that we've fixed the symptom, I wonder what the actual problem is. Maybe an issue with the ribbon that runs through henges? I've also noticed that my phone will completely crash, as well. only able to power on by plugging a charger into it. it will say the battery is dead, then it will jump up to where it was initially charged to (sometimes 90%+) and then it will let me power it back on. Didn't have these problems until my 2 year old decided to drop the phone in a glass of water while I wasn't paying attention lol.
Thank you!!! I'm flying out today to start a 7 day cruise and was freaking out when my phone's outer screen suddenly stopped working last night. Inner screen worked fine. The power button spamming and reboot worked for me. I hope it lasts though. This is my 3rd Z fold in under 2 years...luckily replaced under warranty but did have to pay a $250 deductible on my first replacement. This phone is definitely not for the long haul.

Ain't no way!!! Sticking my z fold 4 inside the freezer for 10 minutes, no joke solved my issue!! The inner display would turn off as soon as I opened it 180°, all fixed now though thank you very much!!
It worked! My front screen has been black since I got the phone a few months ago (it's a used phone). First I tried all the methods except for the freezer one but nothing worked. I searched this problem on Reddit and some guy linked a teardown video of the z fold so I tried massaging again but right above the connector pin of the front screen. Then I forced restart and it worked!!

Thank you so much!!! I was skeptical, to be honest, but tried "hard massage"/pressing on my EXTERNAL SCREEN which became permanently black after falling on the floor... I did it with my phone closed. I've heard a quiet CLICK in a point under screen just above the center of the screen and to the left, but the screen remained black. However, after a reboot with 2 buttons - a MIRACLE!!! - Samsung logo appeared on the external screen and now it works fine again! THANK YOU!!!!

Unfortunately, this method does not work for me to recover my black inner screen, and it also killed my front working screen after the 1st try of tapping solution from your video (the front screen was working very normal before I applied this solution). Now my Zfold 3 is in total not working condition screens. Too bad luck. I just want to share what happened just now with my 4 months Zfold 3, will have to go through Samsung Care+ though :(
Had my fold for 2 years never a problem til yesterday. I watched ur video n did everything u showed. It takes patience because it gets frustrating when u do this 5 to 8 times. Yes you need to hard reboot each time, I did everything even freezer. Each time I did the techniques prior to reboot. 5 hours later lol I got fed up and just put my phone on charger to 100%. After I gave it another try. Remember to hold buttons without letting go. One time I'm holding for 45 seconds to realize button wasn't pushed hard enough. So focus n do each step as video shows. However it finally worked YAy..but it was my 12th time doing the steps. Oh once u get it back do update asap. Phone working great. THANK you for what you do and sharing your knowledge. Your video is to the point and it worked.

However, this morning when I picked my phone up off the floor the screen was black and would turn back on no matter how many times I restarted it. The inner display was working fine. I tried the tapping and it did not work. I then tried the massage on the outer display with the phone turned off and did the volume down plus power restart and viola the display came right up! Same for me, this phone has been a nightmare. Have it for the last year and a half and it pisses me off with all the problems I had to face (s pen stopped working, black dot on outter screen, apps crashing). Now after the new update it went black . Tried everything on the video and massaging it seemed to work for a couple seconds, but it would suddenly just die on me. Ended up punching it hard and now it works 😂😂😂
The last thing I tried was the freezer and it worked. This guy is awesome, I couldn't sell it or anything not even for parts, but now it works and I want to keep it

I tried multiple methods and even accidently called 911 for pressing the power button multiple times ha an it just wasn't working 😕 but then I tried the slapping and the massaging to the front screen then right after doing that I pressed the power and volume button down and next thing you know the Samsung sign came on!!! Ain't no way!!! Sticking my z fold 4 inside the freezer for 10 minutes, no joke solved my issue!! The inner display would turn off as soon as I opened it 180°, all fixed now though thank you very much!!

It worked! My front screen has been black since I got the phone a few months ago (it's a used phone). First I tried all the methods except for the freezer one but nothing worked. I searched this problem on Reddit and some guy linked a teardown video of the z fold so I tried massaging again but right above the connector pin of the front screen. Then I forced restart and it worked!!

Thank you so much!!! I was skeptical, to be honest, but tried "hard massage"/pressing on my EXTERNAL SCREEN which became permanently black after falling on the floor... I did it with my phone closed. I've heard a quiet CLICK in a point under screen just above the center of the screen and to the left, but the screen remained black. However, after a reboot with 2 buttons - a MIRACLE!!! - Samsung logo appeared on the external screen and now it works fine again! THANK YOU!!!!

UNTIL I saw your comment I was like NO FUCKING WAY THIS SHIT WORKS! omfg you're dead right, I did the massage method, I didn't hear anything but when I hard restarted my phone it started working again.... a weird screen came up and and I accidently started to download a 'custom OS' but quickly canceled it and it works like new!

thank youuuuu!!! saved my life man running 2 companies and out of town, just got a new fold replacing my old 3 and it went black befor i connected my computer and was screwed in small town in midwest. Freezer did it for me took a few freeze but THANK YOUUUUU!!!!! No idea how much this saving me

Unfortunately, this method does not work for me to recover my black inner screen, and it also killed my front working screen after the 1st try of tapping solution from your video (the front screen was working very normal before I applied this solution). Now my Zfold 3 is in total not working condition screens. Too bad luck. I just want to share what happened just now with my 4 months Zfold 3, will have to go through Samsung Care+ though :(

Had my fold for 2 years never a problem til yesterday. I watched ur video n did everything u showed. It takes patience because it gets frustrating when u do this 5 to 8 times. Yes you need to hard reboot each time, I did everything even freezer. Each time I did the techniques prior to reboot. 5 hours later lol I got fed up and just put my phone on charger to 100%. After I gave it another try. Remember to hold buttons without letting go. One time I'm holding for 45 seconds to realize button wasn't pushed hard enough. So focus n do each step as video shows. However it finally worked YAy..but it was my 12th time doing the steps. Oh once u get it back do update asap. Phone working great. THANK you for what you do and sharing your knowledge. Your video is to the point and it worked.

Thank you! 👍 The screen massage worked for me. 👍 I accidentally dropped my phone face down on my tile floor this morning. I do keep a case on and have had this happen before with no issue. However, this morning when I picked my phone up off the floor the screen was black and would turn back on no matter how many times I restarted it. The inner display was working fine. I tried the tapping and it did not work. I then tried the massage on the outer display with the phone turned off and did the volume down plus power restart and viola the display came right up! Same for me, this phone has been a nightmare. Have it for the last year and a half and it pisses me off with all the problems I had to face (s pen stopped working, black dot on outter screen, apps crashing).
Now after the new update it went black .
Tried everything on the video and massaging it seemed to work for a couple seconds, but it would suddenly just die on me.
Ended up punching it hard and now it works 😂😂😂
The last thing I tried was the freezer and it worked. This guy is awesome, I couldn't sell it or anything not even for parts, but now it works and I want to keep it

Mannnnnnnnn! I dropped my phone about 2 ft and the front screen went completely black! I tried multiple methods and even accidently called 911 for pressing the power button multiple times ha an it just wasn't working 😕 but then I tried the slapping and the massaging to the front screen then right after doing that I pressed the power and volume button down and next thing you know the Samsung sign came on!!! Aaaaaa I was getting ready to give up and go get it fixed but thank God I found you! Thank you so muchhhhh!!!!!!
