Excellent analysis. Also, for the people that complain about the narrow front screen, and specifically typing, you can simply make the keyboard a little taller for a better experience. On your next video about this phone, I would love to see more customization features/good lock. Others have tackled this, but you are the best at it and the most efficient. I’m primarily an Apple user, shameful, lol. I’ve failed several times to switch to android, mostly just because I’m so familiar with iOS and ecosystem. However, the gap between software and hardware features is so big now that iOS is somewhat embarrassing. Also, even if I don’t switch to android, I may have to get the fold 5, just because I love tech and this is the epitome of tech. Peace.

Excellent video. Well done. I am using the Fold 5 as my daily driver. Still have my 14 Pro Max as my second phone. But the Z Fold 5 never ceases to amaze me and turn heads.
What's your opinion on these 2 phones? I'm with a S23 Ultra thinking about switching to an iPhone 14 Pro Max, only for the fun 😂
Was thinking on the Fold 5 for the gimmick, however it would be a downgrade in every other aspect (camera and battery specially). Or the iPhone because it's been more than 15 years since my last iOS and it looks really nice nowadays.
@@eplj both phones offer something unique. For me I shoot all my RUclips and social media content from my IPhone 14 Pro Max. The Fold 5 is amazing at Multitasking which works really well when you need it. You can’t do the same split screen multitasking on the iPhone. I was planning to sell my iPhone but then I would have to again invest in a camera which doesn’t offer the flexibility like the iPhone to shoot videos. So I have kept the iPhone mainly for RUclips video making and the fold 5 for my main work phone. That said. The cameras on the fold 5 are also not bad. You can get some nice B Roll from it. My wife uses an S23 ultra and that is a different beast. But I am enjoying the best of both worlds and I will stay with it for now. iPhone for Cameras iOS and battery life. Fold 5 for multitasking, displays and the one UI interface is also not bad 😊
Great video. Just learned some great tips. What I'd like to know is can you change the size of displayed pictures in the apps? Like you said, so much more real estate, space for activities, and it bothers me that the answer to that is to make the pictures take all that space up instead of being presented with more pictures at a time.

Tq for the video.. most of the settings is available for fold 4.. if im not mistaken, fold 5 removed the sensor gesture for the power button (bring down notifications menu)❤

I love my fold. But oh boy the OnePlus is such an amazing alternative. I have used the iPhone 14 pro max. S23 ultra and now i have the fold 5 i have my dad the fold 4. We LOVE the Samsung fold the best. The only issue is the smaller screen i understand its for 1 handed usage but our lives are fast pace and it's easier to text on outer display. And then when we get to chill for a little we enjoy the tablet mode. Its not a gimmick phone at all.
Fold 5 is awesome device , I wish main screen was slightly bigger as it is hard to type with single hand without making errors on cover screen. Hope samsung will bring spen support to cover screen too in next update , as while u need quick notes , unlike like old note series u can't write quickly on main screen but need to open the fold bigger display. Samsung did great work with UI , we don't need xposed installer any more. One more issue , if u r taking long notes in potrait mode, crease will irritate u sometime while writing and u will miss some letters, so need to write in landscape mode to avoid crease, overall great device , but lets hope after usign for 2-3 years amoled screen don't have flickering issue or pink line or other motherboard problems, especially after OTA updates from samsung.
It's perfect phone but let's wait for better camera. It's a future of smartphones. It was the same with button and touchable phones.
Morning everyone quick question, how do you all close your fold? saw a video that the "crease" will eventually deteriorate.
Half of these settings should be on by default, especially all the fold specific stuff. Good Lock is too good to be in a separate app that most users will never hear about. Put it in the settings already.
I think that there are too many settings, there should be only two
continuity, and the labs feature to force fullscreen in inner display, multiwindow should be on by default, most of the features need to be on by default, most people just want the full experience right out of the gate
I agree with you on the last point about them being on by default! But sometimes part of the fun is fine tuning settings to your liking and having more options is better than none

Honestly, I paid $600+ with my S22 ultra trade in and a preorder discount of like $50 bucks or something like that. That's cheaper than the S23 Ultra was at launch. I love the Fold and I found myself grabbing it much more often over the S23 Ultra. BUT I take a lot of pictures and would like to have the best shots possible. Especially, as you say, for the money. For their top of the line phone the camera amongst a couple other small gripes, should be the best. For that, I am returning it and hoping they get it right next year.
It's affordable via financing options and if you have a device to trade in you'll get no less than $200 off with a phone from 2010.

I currently have both. I was going to stay with the Fold 5 as I find myself reaching for it 9/10. I love it. BUT as a Note or Spen user I need the Spen functionality on the outer display. It's so much easier and makes more sense to be able to write down quick notes like that. Rather than the way they currently have it to where you can only use the Spen while it's unfolded. Not super functional. That AND my biggest gripe is the camera. As I said before, the Fold 5 is their top of the line phone and for 2k you expect to have the same camera functions as on the 23 ultra or even better. That's not the case. The camera is almost identical to last year's Fold. That all being said, if I didn't care much about the Spen and the camera, bc it's not as bad, I'd 100% keep the Fold. Love watching videos on it. Love looking at social media etc. It's an awesome experience I look forward to trying again next year.

Bro, there is no such thing as Galaxy Zed Fold 5. ( Z) is a letter. Not a word.
Different countries pronounce things differently
In Europe its Zed too.
"Zed" lol its just a letter. The letter "Z". Dunno why other countries do that with that letter from cars to phone I guess.
Gestures are the worst thing ever to have on a phone
I searched and searched but I can't find it. It's just not there. Nowhere do the phone show the term "ZED". Now "Z" is everywhere. Why do folks do this stuff.
