      Hi Matt
Great video thanks. Just started my second journal. A new layout for me in this one. Daily tasks, time tracker and habit tracker on one page and it's working out well.
Looking forward to yoyr next video.

I have to say - I love the one line across the entire month and into the trackers as well.
Really simplifies the time to build the layout and makes it super lean - I like that!

Honestly speaking.... I think every other video on bullet journaling is just too overwhelming and it deviates people from the original purpose of it.
I started bullet journaling this year and I failed in my 1st month trying to maintain the theme and the habit trackers and the mood trackers... But after that since I came across ur videos, I started rethinking abt it all over again.y February was not totally successful and I have started fresh with March now.. Thanks alot and looking frwd to more videos.

I start on my 1st bullet journal on 2017.. trying hard to make my bujo looks pretty with doodles and fancy stuff like others.. And then by 2018 i stop doing it bcoz i thought it was too overwhelm until i decide to do it again this year but with minimal setup. Boy thats really ease me out and served the purpose of having a bujo. To help you manage yourlife easily.

I will try this! Espeacially the weekly layout. I think it will be great for people who has a strict schedule. Laterly my life was getting faster that i cant manage in my usual way, then i re-watched this video.
    Many thanks, Matt :D
(and sorry for my bad English. I'm a self-learner when it comes to English :P)

Matt, I may have said this before, but I do appreciate the mindful approach to planning and recording AND streamlining. It's overwhelming to me to over do things and your more simplistic and minimalist approach allows for more free time doing allowing more living of life.
The weekly layouts I let go of because it was just one more thing. For simplicity sake both my husband and I keep our calander of events online so we know basically what's going on in the other's life and if there may be scheduling conflicts etc. Shoot i let go of the monthlies too because of the online calender. at the beginning of the months, instead of monthly layouts, I will incorporate the goals section and implementation of tiny steps and small success. Those are big for me.
So for me, I love the daily layouts, but started to do a weekly to do and a habit tracker. I, hands down love the way you do the habit tracker. THAT will get into my layout. AND the mood tracker too. There are some that I have in there that I dont even do! WTH? just wanted energy to even set it up, but this coming week it will be different.
Thank you again for your approach, your ideas, your views and content. They are greatly appreciated and valued!

Honestly Matt, thanks so much for this. It's nearing the end of Sunday and this has inspired me to finally fill in my bullet journal (which I bought back in JANUARY) and I've done my month layout and habit trackers, and started my week's to do list. I'm not going to add work tasks into it (just yet) as I already have a notepad I use for work, but this will definitely give me the push to sort out my personal life. Thanks again.

RUclips algorithm is working for once lol
Loved your minimalist spreads even though my bujo is still a little bit fancy and i like it that way 😀 Refreshing to see a man bullet journaling and refreshing to see a simple, not oversaturated with colours and details journal.
Definitely sub! Thanks RUclips algorithm, very cool!

I use to do like everyone else on RUclips with fancy layout and doodles....too much work. So now I have year at a glance, monthlies, and as for my dailies I write the day of the week and date. Then I split the page in half. On the left column are work notes/tasks, and on the right is home. No special designs. Very simple and I can stay focus.

I used a similar master task list to yours all through law school. I had a lot of reading assignments, so at the beginning of each weekend I would write all my readings down, color coded by class, with a separate check box for each case within the reading so I had lots of mini tasks to check off. Then on the other side I split the page into Friday, Saturday and Sunday because those were my major reading days. On Monday, I migrated any unfinished homework to the next spread and wrote down all my class schedule, meetings and other events underneath. Then I had Monday - Thursday with a horizontal time plan to show me when I was busy.
Now that I'm done with law school, I have less tasks, so I can fit everything on one page but I still love the weekly master task list. It was interesting to see you've come around to a similar method.

Hi Matt! Great video, love your simplicity but depth in the new layout. No loss of content but yet easy to set up and use. (Beard is goin-on too lol) Hope you’re getting more sleep! I have three kids so I know first hand about lack of sleep 🙏🏼👊🏼

1:36 I agree...I felt the same...with using colored highlighters...it got to be to much to track the moods...I now use an ink, gas meter image (empty/medium/full)...and it is more manageable for me.

I had problems keeping up with weekly and monthly pages. So I setup the monthly to hold as much as possible. Same basic design as yours, but I cut a page in half to give myself basically three pages to work with, all visible.
Page 1. All day events and a schedule from 8am to 8pm (I just put in dots for work meetings the next week so I can see when I have blocks of time and plan for projects (the actual events I put on the daily along with top tasks). Outside events tend to be multiple hours so I can write a word in)
Page 2 (half page). Basically your one line review which I called "prayer requests and notes"
    Page 3 (half page). Tracker
Page 4. Routines and key for the tracker. Tasks for the month.
About the only thing design I've done is color code the months and draw guidelines (weekly blocks and vertical separators).
