Evander Holyfield was the king of headbutting. Mike's punches were killing him. Holyfield's strength was getting the ref at his back circling around and timing a head butt. Mike was right for getting him back. Any man has the right to defend themself. Holyfield is also the reason the heavyweight division had no credibility for so long. Im begging you to watch Lennox Lewis kick the snot out of him the whole fight. He didn't legitimately win one round. The judges gave that fight to Holyfield. Boxing will never live that down.

I met Evander at the Riverchase Galleria Mall in Hoover Alabama where I owned some businesses......he was in town to be on the sidelines for his brothers football game....he was walking around the mall and of course I recognized him ( he was staying at the Winfrey Hotel attached to the mall ) ....I went up to him and introduced myself, asked him as many questions as time would allow.....but the funny thing, he couldn’t find his way back to the hotel, asked me if I would walk with him.....he was the consummate gentleman and was generous enough to give me his autograph......people in the mall that knew me could not believe their eyes.....it was one of those once in a lifetime opportunity for me.....thank you Evander.

Mike tysons is a heavyweight champion fit to stand alongside Dempsey, Tunney, Louis, Marciano, and Ali. peoples champ . as a entertainer in boxing . thoses hundreds of great boxers but the public refuses to acknowledge their names as much mikes name gets mentioned . i thin its to do with the life struggle and how he he turned himself around .a true survivor

Tyson is an all time great. Speed and power combo never seen before is since. Defense par excellence. I agree aspects of his life turned off many critics. But remember, he was 21 years old, the most recognizable face on the planet for a few years, all the money in the world he had never seen and yet absolutely NO supervision. After Cus Damato died he was raw meat in the midst of wolves. If any of us were in the same situation we would have made awful decisions too. Landed him in prison. I think he would have been better longer if his life didnt go to shambles. It showed vs. Douglas came to a head vs. Holyfield

Mike Tyson was his own worst enemy and he deteriorated when Cus dies but he lost control when he fired Rooney and married that Psychotic lunatic Robing Givens. If He fought Holyfield before that mess he would have destroyed him. there was nobody left to harness Tyson's energy, In my opinion there was never and never will be a better all around heavyweight boxer than Mike Tyson

    • @mywonderjam

Only Tyson Haters will disagree with you. I made this comment, which many people overlook - Have Holyfield spend 3 years in prison for a bullshit crime which never happened. It takes a lot out of you. I want to see any boxer who does 3 years time for a crime which he never did and comes back like Tyson did. A true competitor will acknowledge this.
