- Time for our third big update for v1.6! The major feature of this update will be the long requested removal of seat restrictions for vehicles. Alongside this we have included 2 new maps, 3 new vehicles, 1 'new' faction and the usual assortment of bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

PR just keeps amazing me. A BF2-based "mod" shouldn't still be viable anymore in 2020. Heck, it should be like beating a dead horse. But when the PR devs beat that dead horse, it doesn't just run again, it sprouts wings and takes off as an amazing Pegasus that far outshines the original.

Please review the scoring for transporting infantry by helicopter. Helicopter pilots do a lot for each battle, but they get very few points per round, very often they don't even make it into the top 20 players of the round. I really love flying in your game, but it is very badly appreciated, nothing is given out for the delivery of boxes, and this is very, very important!
Do people really pay attention to top players? For me thats not a thing. I like to play as Spotter and theres a lot of games that i am on the 48-35 position and just dont care.
While I get the desire for more points as a sign of appreciation, it's not like you actually need them for anything. Having people thank me now and then for good transport has been far more rewarding
@@mockingbird0901 Simply, if there is already such a mechanism from a points, why would it be completed to a normal state, so that it correctly calculates points
Even though I don't care much about points I'd support that just to give you trans guys some recognition. Often times a HQ trans squad is the difference between a win and a loss for the team.
Who cares about the player score anyways? Pilots are fine being the unknown hero

Honestly it's been upwards of a year since the last time I logged in, and more than a few years since I played with any regularity, but I am always thrilled to see how PR is progressing, and I know that one day I'll be able to hop back into it and have an even better experience than I had before. This game doesn't age, only improves.

I used to play this game very extensively during high school. I stopped playing 3 years ago when I got really busy with life and only played like a few times in a year. I'm graduating from university soon so I haven't been able to touch this game for a while. I hope I can overcome all the challenges and graduate well. I will definitely come back to this game!

I feel that this game is not a mod from BF2 now, This is a game, that just uses the BF2 engine, it has tons and tons of content, that it would be weird to call it a mod now.

As much as I love squad, PR will always be my favourite, I think the graphics are still gorgeous and spot on even to this day.

I am surprised that there are very few people on the servers, but you continue to make content for them. For you, PR is a sandbox, if after the appearance of the tiger and KAMAZ, they appeared in the squad ,But music in PR is soooo amazing

Seat limit is now gone? YEEEEEEES I haven't been able to play the game yet but I'd like to know how do you change seats now, I mean, there isn't that many function keys in any keyboard
F8 now cycles you to the next open seat instead of placing you in seat 8.

Finally more seats , sometimes we would team up with another squad to do an specific task together and we would have to wait for vehicles so all of us can go at one time. Now we can easily fit 2 squads in one heli(depends what heli.)

Great release! But I really think the devs should brink back the old british team with the old cammo pattern and old weapons for Musa Qala, once they didn't wear the new MTP cammo pattern back in 2007. 😊

Then play on medium... I got this game to run acceptably on medium with an I3 and integrated graphics, I think you could fair well enough with a dedicated gpu. That or there is another issue on your end.

I can't believe they get to unlock the passengers limit and adds dragging system, tho. So I guess more new features will be introduced!
I really wish they would consider adding helmet overlays to the first person's view. It has everything to do with being in a combat zone. Along with getting rid of the player indicators, that I don't think is representative of what they call Project Reality. I think maybe you should add some things to the game that will mitigate tk other than something that breaks the realistic approach to the game.

The Syrian Arab Army never uses the G3 weapon, only the Iranian army uses it, and even Iran uses the AK 47 more, so please review the design of the factions. This is a great game. I recommend it to all my friends. I am happy. Read my comments and thank you for all the efforts of your team

Man this update is making me come back to PR. Everytime I play Squad, it just doesn't have that feel, sure Squad has better gun animation/feel but the combined arms feel, the movement, the building, the flow is just so much superior than to Squad.

I really love PR and I have spent so many hours in this game, the only thing I hate in this game is to wait for the so-called "dots" to connect to fire accurately if that system can be removed PR would be the best realistic shooter today
Its an engine limitation. I would also love if the gun actually swayed and moved instead of the dots moving, but we cant have that...

I would have said no, but they found a way to seat more people into a chopper, so, I guess???

The answer is no. This isn't something that can possibly be altered. With how the seats worked in game, all we needed to do was to fix the AI into accepting more than 8 players in one vehicle as well as preventing the game to break at the actual seat limit of 10(there's an overflow that happens past 10 seats which IIRC affects parts of the memory it should not touch). All that was required was to figure out WHAT EXACTLY it is, that causes the code line set_max_player_seats(or whatever it's called) to cease functioning once you enter numbers above 8. The stuff is there already, we just needed to fix a small amount of code to make the game run it.
With lean, we don't even know where to start the implementation process because there's nothing to fix in the first place. So, we can't take the same approach of finding out exactly what it is, that makes an already existing line of code crash when a specific number is reached. From my very limited understanding of how it all works, the game only has 3 options for player character stances, which all have specific settings and so on, and so we are left with standing, crouched and prone alone.
@@FrontlinerCdV Really interesting what was limiting the seat count. Never heard before that increasing thee number was causing memory errors. Cant even imagine why it would do that, but I don't know the code that well
