Project Reality is a combined arms tactical first-person shooter video game modification for Battlefield 2 which aim to create a realistic combat environment where the core gameplay encourages teamwork and coordination.
It's astounding how a free standalone game with a small playerbase, receives much more attention than many paid triple-A games.
It's more sad than astounding. These big developers can take in $50k a year for doing almost nothing.

@@Oblivium Perhaps I didn't play long enough like you. But regardless, issues and bugs for a mod that uses a game engine from what? 10 years ago? To live to this very day is still an amazement. The devs even trying to outstretch the engine further like removing vehicles 8-seat limit for example. But if you are still looking for a better PR, Squad is the best option for it at a reasonable pricetag.
I have no idea what bad gameplay you mentioned about though? Maybe it just not fitting with genres of your likings?
And yes Trung, getting used to the gameplay could be quite troublesome for for many new players. But yet I still managed to do it with 200-300 pings of mine.
The fact that I'm hyped for a game update that is over 10 years old says a lot about the current state of the industry
Hey dude, try playing possum in this game to take down enemies or let armor pass as a group. If you promote that idea we can have a lot more players. Its only game we can play dead. Things like camouflage, 1 man per piece of cover, staying in view of each other to save each other, set the spread to whatever the biggest threat is that could take out a lot. Policing up each others camouflage and exposure. Learning the art of Pre-Fire. Learn from me then show your viewers the potential.

I fell away from PR for a few years and there was something in my life that was missing, I couldn’t explain it, like a hole in my soul. A few months back I re-downloaded and have been having some of the most fun I’ve ever had gaming. The PR devs are truly the greatest devs in the world and my next check I’ll be sending some compensation your way, it’s unfortunate I’m not a millionaire I’d give you whatever you needed for you to keep on keeping on and live as lavish a lifestyle as you wanted lol.

THANK YOU SO MUCH especially the recoil change, it was such a pain for years since i play in 200+ ping servers and the camera goes way up even though it dosent have that much recoil so i end up pulling down too much and end up missing.

I have not played PR since it was still in mod form for BF2, it really has come on leaps and bounds.
I am looking through some of the more recent dev videos and I cannot help but think that your team puts more love, attention, detail and effort into this FULL GAME for FREE than most AAA devs put into their £60+ titles.
I'm all about single player and I am so glad that such a title as PR exists, so thanks very much.

да, но у меня один раз как то вылетело и больше не заходит даже тему создал в realitymod которая называется Dont launches game no error, ниче не помогло,
и кстати как я заметил не только с pr такое и с другими модами на bf2 если вылетет то больше не зайдет хотя переустановка помагает но не в случае с PR

More than 15 years with this game.... By far the best mod ever. Realism and cooperation at the best level.
You guys are simply amazing! You have been doing literally "MAGIC" with such an old and hardcoded engine. If you ever manage to implement Dynamic Viewdistances based on Altitude or a "ground always drawn no matter the altitude when piloting air vehicles" then I would never play any other game in my life! You see the only mayor unrealistic thing about PR left (since you have fixed the recoil) is how when a pilot is too high they no longer see the ground and just see "FOG".... Of course if you draw units a vehicles for such high altitudes it would be imbalanced. I am just talking about the ground texture being visible no matter how high the pilot is and not the other assets such as buildings, vehicles or soldiers. Anyways, keep on doing your magic guys!

Started PR at 1.3, mainly because my computer couldn’t handle it. Bought a new PC, PC Specialist laptop and have been playing ever since. Love it.
this mod was one of my best gaming experiences that i was allowed to make
this game has more features than many AAA games COMBINED. I love this game, although I only joined recently 2 years running but never felt such emersion. I am also excited for the OHD developed by some of you guys from PR. I am praying that would be the true successor of PR with better gunplay better graphics. I also play squad but nothing beats this so far. THANK YOU for making my lonely nights more exciting.

Would there be a less immersion breaking way of getting to off map airbases? If not a full on AI control transit vehicles, perhaps keep the teleportation but you interact with unpilotable helicopter running idle at either location instead of just the airport sign.
The teleport is only useful if you accidentally spawn on the wrong spot. Its only used as a tool to undo a wrong spawn selection.

I have two questions, about drones and body area network. Drones first. In relation to the recent Azerbaijan-Armenian war, the usage of drones in certain battle-areas, played a decisive role for the attacking Azerbaijan force. Apparently, the Israeli developed Kamikaze drone, made quite an impact, as loitering munition. Turkish drones also had a big success. Plenty of footage from their battlefield-successes, on the internet.
So although the strength of these tactical drones, may be overestimated, when we bring in larger armies, they still benefited the attacking Azerbaijan forces. Will you implement drones like these, in future updates?
Then Body Area Network. In my opinion, although not admitted officially, yet, this technology is already used on the battlefield. At least for certain missions. Implemented into PR, it will add a new feature in the game; human drones. In game, you simply do as in real life; you find a wounded or captured enemy trooper, stick the sensor-nodes and chips (EEG) into his body, activate it, and then you have your own human drone. It is an old technology, which I have - how to put it - tested in real life. DARPA and a host of universities from all over the world, developed this technology, and they still improve it.
