This is personally my favorite Toy Story Movie
For some reason, Toy Story 2 seems to be the most forgotten film in the series and it also tends to be somewhat overshadowed these days by Toy Story 3 and now Toy Story 4.
After Al's comeuppance in this film, I always joke about how he became Dennis Nedry from Jurassic park. Because Al and Nedry were both played by Wayne Knight.

I love this movie and it’s one of my favorite Toy Story movies of all time and it features my favorite childhood characters in the movie which was really incredible and it has a great emotion scene throughout the movie.

"Toy Story 2" was just as much of a blast to watch as the first film. Back when I used to watch it as a kid, I'd always laugh my head off during the bloopers, especially when Woody wrote 'This space for rent' on Buzz's wings.
Can't wait for your review of "Transformers: The Movie." You've already gone to infinity and beyond, now let's see if you can bring more than what meets the eye.

To me, it's not just one of my favorite Pixar animated films and one of my favorite Pixar sequel, but it's one of my most favorite animated sequels OF ALL TIME! Heck, I loved Toy Story 2 even better than its predecessor, which was still an excellent movie. One aspect I love the most was Jessie's sad backstory song, "When She Loved Me." I can't thank you enough.
Love this movie! The animation still holds up great. The plasticky appearance works well for the toys and even the human characters had improved a lot since the first film. I love that this sequel is an expansion and not just a rehash.
I agree. Even though the second film’s animation is from 1999, I think it aged well compared to the first film’s animation.

Shrek 2 is easily the best in the series, IMO. Then 1. We don’t talk about the other two.

What a beautiful song!
I definitely like both sequels. But I lean towards 3 because of when it came out. I was transitioning from high school life to college life at the time, and the movie really spoke to me on a personal level, especially at the end. There are some toys I keep around for sentimental reasons, but I did end up becoming a display collector of Lego models, Power Ranger/Sentai merch, and of course, Transformers (which the 80's Transformers movie will be the next Classic review).
Can you do reviews of other movies like Monsters Inc, The incredibles, up, cars, and ratatouille?

As a kid I didn’t really like Toy Story 2 and find it all that interesting. But now that I’m older? Well, I love it! I still feel like the other 2 Toy Story films are better writing-wise, but I suppose the main theme, that one day you’ll expire and no longer be useful or worthwhile, was a bit hard to swallow, but I definitely enjoy it a lot more now.
Plus, that Star Wars reference with Zurg was just hilarious lol. And this was before Disney owned Star Wars!
And I just finished the Toy Story world in KH3 last week and loved it.

And also AndrewtheUncommon's (aka TheUncommonSBF) favorite Pixar movie as well! :)
One of the funniest things about Pixar's erly movies when I grew up was watching the bloopers at the end.
Another thing I really appreciate now when looking back, (although its probably just nostalgia) is how well dubbed the movies were in comparison to many of today's movies

The american flag is seen on the VHS of the film. While the DVD/Blu-Ray uses the spinning globe and fireworks.

They did change at least ONE Thing about the animation, You probably didn't notice, but they added shaders so that they can add Skin characteristics to the Humans(Pours, Veins, Sweat, 5 o clock shadow, pimples, redness, etc.)
I love this movie,and it introduced my favorite member of the toy story cast,Jessie.
I love this movie so much, it’s my favourite Pixar Sequel.
Well, if there is one issue I have with this movie, it is that it set up (or at least popularized) that much-maligned “Disney twist villain” trope with Stinky Pete, who starts off compelling enough for most of the story but then gets reveled fairly late into the movie as a bad guy, at which point his established personality becomes null and void and he’s reduced to a generic villain who mainly just serves as an obstacle for the heroes (not helped by the fact that he gets a very anti-climactic defeat), and the valid points he made beforehand are quickly brushed off, when this could have been used to make him a more three-dimensional character.
Well, it's a no brainier what the next classic review will be - the song literally tells us the title.
2:45 For my fellow Americans watching this who are confused about this part. For the international release, instead of the American flag behind Buzz with the National Anthem playing in the background, there is the globe and an original song by Randy Newman called "One World" plays so that it wouldn't confused non-American audiences. I believe Ash Brannon explained that in the audio commentary for this movie. Just something I've always found interesting.

I am so glad you reviewed this movie! This along with the 1st Toy Story are one of the movies I grew up watching as a kid! And I remember back when I saw the previews for Toy Story 3, I was so excited that I would not stop talking about how hyped I was about seeing it, so I would celebrate by marathoning the first two films in honor of Toy Story 3 coming out. And when I went to go watch it opening day, I loved it! So much so that I actually went to go see it again the day after! No joke! I saw Toy Story 3 twice on its opening weekend.
While I personally think that Toy Story 3 is the best of the trilogy, Toy Story 2 is still amazing nonetheless. Then again, I love all the Toy Story movies. I'm still worried about how Toy Story 4 is going to go given how 3 was a perfect conclusion for the franchise, but maybe it could end up being good.
