    For a long time, people have asked that I review MMA gloves and I think now is finally the time to do so! These gloves have been on the market for a little over a year now and they are taking the mma world by storm! Fairtex finally made a true sparring safe mma glove. They are spacious in the hand compartment, the padding is forgiving, and the support is incredible! Alistair Overeem helped design these gloves and I can see why! Fighters like Gilbert Burns, Michael Chandler, and Luke Rockhold are also using these gloves! They have become my go to mma sparring gloves for sure and here you will see why! $100 well spent IMO!

    You need the Combat Corner mma sparring gloves. They look good and their logo is similar to yours

    Love mine. Could have done with less palm material but i understand why there is excess. Xl for bigger guys and wraps for sure. I got the red and black and they are not as shiny as yours. Which i am ok with. Great review.

    Great video. How do these compare to the FGV15? Considering their size, and open palm or lack thereof?

    • @pootytang2872

      have both gloves, i think the 15s are better for all round use, for example if you're in a 45min - 1 hr class training the full range of mma. 18s are way too big and loose for grappling, i only these during sparring, switching between these and normal 16oz gloves for standup

    How big are your hands? I’ve been wanting these but don’t wanna get too big of a size

  • @XMetalChefX
    @XMetalChefX 2 года назад +5

    I gotta be honest i disagree on the grappling aspect. I am 6'3 265, and I find thier "puffyness" allows it to compact easily for subs and stuff. Maybe it has to break in more for you? How much do you grapple? I love these things for grappling, I actually hate how alot of other gloves have such a hard padding. I have used UFC gloves to mess around in and io thought they were on par for grappling.

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  2 года назад +2

      Wow! Forgive my extremely delayed response my friend! We grapple virtually every day at our gym and really only with our MMA gloves on. I'm able to work submissions and wrestle decently well with these especially compared to some other gloves out there for sure. I do agree with you that the padding being so soft and the outer shell being so supple and easy to move, these are much easier to grapple with compared to some other gloves out there. But just my take. I also should have taken into consideration that my hands just don't open and close as easy as they used to and maybe that is why? It is also my style of grappling. I am a very underhook heavy pummel kind of guy so sometimes getting right under the armpit can be difficult or doing certain locks and throws can be difficult for my style of grappling. But I would still say these are better than the majority of other gloves out there. Thank you for the detailed comment, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner!
