Great review. Love the detail and the fact that you were struggling to find cons on this one. Also appreciated the quick comparisons with the other guitars. The smaller clips between switching to the next guitar makes it so much easier to hear subtle differences than reviews that play three minute covers on each guitar. Would love to see/hear a split screen of even just quick hits on chords or five second riffs so that by the time I hear the third guitar I haven’t forgotten how the first one sounded. Great cover at the end too. Well done.
It's so funny how people latch onto marketing words. 5 years ago I hadn't heard a single person say the "consistency" brag on PRS ever. Yes, they were nice guitars, but they weren't described specifically as "consistent". Now in the last couple of years I've heard it a hundred times, people just parroting the same description. Company has been around for 30 years and now "organically" has the reputation of being "consistently flawless". Pretty much any major brand's $2000 and up guitars are "consistently flawless" to the same degree, but somehow PRS gave itself its own nickname here. Super weird.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator I agree that most boutique guitars at that price are consistent and flawless, but PRS is pretty much the most popular "boutique" brand. There are plenty of other brands that are flawless, but either more expensive or not as accessible. PRS you can find in almost any guitar store. But unlike Gibson and Fender, whose quality can be all over the place--even at top dollar instruments--even the lower end PRS guitars are consistently great. I've never heard PRS mention this as a selling point, so I don't agree that it was a marketing thing. It's just something that is really apparent with PRS. More than other brands.
Ive only owned two prs and recently in 2021 i had a green quilted top single cut. It was a nice guitar but it was like a reliable, predictable clean piece. It was kinda boring. I got more than i paid due to supply issues. I have a les paul custom thats exceptional for a gibson. Its wild in comparison. Its has attitude. Thats why i dont like prs.
I appreciate the quality of these reviews at different price points. Been looking at this guitar for a while and this video really helped. Love the tele, but wanting something a little more different. I like this one.
I bought one. I love it. I usually don't like Swiss army knife guitars, but this MK signature is in a league all its own. It sounds fantastic. And, it's so comfy to play. I play it for hours at a time when I have the time to do so. One of my favorite guitars, and I have too many guitars lol. In fact, I like it so much, I want to buy the green one too. I have the white one.
Thanks for the review & demo, will check out more of your videos. Have this guitar on its way to me in vintage white, got a great Memorial Day deal. Surprised that the soft case looks like it doesn’t have any neck support, but you mentioned something supporting the headstock? Looking forward to this guitar.
thank you! I love this guitar. As for the case, it has a neck rest like most good cases, and it comes with a styrofoam cutout that holds the headstock in place, but I think that was mostly for shipping. Either way, I'd probably just keep it.
@@BeastMadeReviews I think they are quite special. Both of them. But to me, the pinnacle is the Myles signature model. They are absolutely extraordinary in my opinion.
You say you dont like the tuners, which is fine, but is it the look or do they not keep good tune? I had the same tuners on a core silver sky and while it kept better tune than any strat or any other guitar I had owned, my silver sky se's keep better tune than the core for some reason
I think it's mostly the tuning stability. I had some issues with it staying in tune, but it could be other things contributing to that. I think they look fine. That's wild that the SE keeps better tuning!
I try to keep an open mind with guitars but one thing I always try to find out when considering buying a guitar; Can it do Iron Maiden? I think that with the right amp, this one can.
Huge Myles fan, huge PRS fan, but for that money, a gig bag - no matter how great, kind of is a shitty thing to do in my opinion. That being said, great video man! Thanks 🙏
Yeah I get that. I'm SURE Myles doesn't use the gig bag when touring. 😆 But as for my use, I actually don't mind it that much. It works well enough for what I need and takes up less space.
That is cool, but as a brass man, I know Jack about strings. I play a 1959 Martin Committe trumpet. That was a good horn. I have zero input other than find THE instrument that meets your needs and desires, then tell the world to kiss your backside.
I usually never mention weight since that varies a lot. I don’t know what size frets. They don’t mention that on the PRS website. But they seemed middle-of-the-road for size.
I'm not sure, but I would assume they would sound pretty different. I compare it to my tele in the video. Though the pickups on mine are different than Suhr's, they're probably more similar than the pickups in the Myles Kennedy.
I play the guitar every couple of minutes. I play through all the switches and sounds, clean and overdriven. Do me a favor. When you comment, watch the video first.
You are paying a small fortune for.this guitar and PRS couldn't be bothered to include a hard case. Geez! Greedy much. Great review and the guitar is great but the value isn't there for me or many people.
👍the fender American pro 2 comes with a nice hard case, which I’ll be purchasing this January. Furthermore anyone who thinks expecting a hard case to protect a professional instrument is greedy, has no business owning a real instrument.

Thank you, Scott!
PRS quality is very consistent compared to a lot of other “authentic” brands lol. I own both, love both, but PRS are hard to beat on consistency
absolutely!

That clean sound is fantastic
It really is! I was very pleased with this guitar. Ever since I sent it back, I think about it every now and then.

Nice to see this one back up.
yep! Were you the one who mentioned the bad audio in the first video? I couldn't believe I published that. 😅 Also, I love this guitar.
How can it sound THIS good?!? I didn't think this would happen some guitar surprize me, like this one. Interesting.
same here. I really love this guitar! I may need to get one permanently.

Oh man. I found your channel when looking at ridge style wallets. Imagine my surprise when I found a Guitar video!!
Very cool! Thanks for watching, as always!
Whoa! Dave from fragrance bros is reviewing one of my favorite guitars! 🤯😎

I didn't play Iron Maiden on it, but I think you are correct!
Nice review, nice playing and nice tones. I do have say however, to anyone out there that doesn't like Myles and AB.......what is wrong with you?😊
Thank you! And YES!
Huge Myles fan, huge PRS fan, but for that money, a gig bag - no matter how great, kind of is a shitty thing to do in my opinion. That being said, great video man! Thanks 🙏

amen!
What does it weigh? What size frets?
I usually never mention weight since that varies a lot. I don’t know what size frets. They don’t mention that on the PRS website. But they seemed middle-of-the-road for size.
❤🎉Myles Kennedy 's sound the best and more modern .
yes! I love the sound!
Has anyone put one of these up against a Suhr Alt T?
I'm not sure, but I would assume they would sound pretty different. I compare it to my tele in the video. Though the pickups on mine are different than Suhr's, they're probably more similar than the pickups in the Myles Kennedy.
Too much talking 😅 try every switch tone. Clean and low drivee can't distinguish the tone if you are too much using distortion.
I play the guitar every couple of minutes. I play through all the switches and sounds, clean and overdriven. Do me a favor. When you comment, watch the video first.

Value is subjective. I personally don’t need or want another hardshell case
👍the fender American pro 2 comes with a nice hard case, which I’ll be purchasing this January.
Furthermore anyone who thinks expecting a hard case to protect a professional instrument is greedy, has no business owning a real instrument.
So the case is more important then the guitar quality. Oh my, we are on al whole new level of snobiness.
Of course sold out as usual
Dang
It's hideous!
I love it! 😍 lol
I love PRS. Have several. But for a T style, I’m going Suhr. Closer to what I want. Horses for courses, I suppose
3 grand and they’re nice enough to provide a gig bag… what a deal🫤
It's a good deal for me. I would rather not have a hard shell case.
I love the case over a hard shell. I don't use them, they just get stored.
