I really want to you thank you. In 2023, I went through some rough times. Didn’t make enough money to pay rent, had an unplanned pregnancy then miscarriage, tons of debt. I sold off just about everything to survive. I was able to get a sawtooth because of videos you made. I’m still using it today. One day I’ll get the fancy stuff, but you showed me I can still play nice things without sacrificing much.
I'm very glad to hear that the guitar brought you some happiness!
Ngl we really need a hardtail version of your signature guitar. It would be a instant buy for me and many others. You nailed all the other specs, but floyds are a bit of a niche thing. Please make it a reality for the people.
Yes, we need a hardtail with longer horns, I would prefer the horns to reach between the nut and the first tuning peg. Better acoustics, sustain, aerodynamics and veneer intonation.
@@linvesel what are you on about 😂. Just the hardtail is fine
I was actually thinking of calling them up and seeing if I could get it hardtail with nickel hardware. Gold is a bit gaudy to me.
Certainly a Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder thing.
@@RedRavenNine i think the gold works with the green.
This is the kind of video I've been waiting for.
great video. i think you should do a video of your favourite guitars that cost under $200.
Great idea!
@@GuitarMAXMusicThat would be a fairly short video, wouldn't it?
I am happy that I am alive and get to watch you Max!
I bought a Harley Benton Fusion III last year and it is an amazing guitar. I love it. My other two top faves (this week lol) are my EVH black and white Striped series and my Ibanez RG470DX the seafoam green one. The Ibanez trem on it is just a work of technical art. Superb guitar at a really good price point. And the colour is STUNNING. Of course this list will change next week lol.
🤘😎🤘
Aloha, I'm selling one of my guitars right now & it's a 2 yr old Ibanez Gio translucent blue in excellent condition.
@@officialdandaman I have the GRGR221PA-AQB Gio in aqua blue. Beautiful looking and great playing guitar. The Gio nowadays is amazing compared to what they were originally.
I love those two WW2 airplanes. Enjoy your videos.
Remember when there was just a handful of brands worth considering, and a cheap guitar played like a cheap guitar?
Us guitarists live in special times now.
I have one of those Jackson JS 32 V's natural wood. Love that guitar
The Firefly Mad Cat is my latest...so thank you.
So many guitars I’ve bought because of what you had to say about them, and not one was on this list. Not one 😡
Really? Which ones did you buy?
@@GuitarMAXMusic lol I was kidding. I do own 5 Wolf or AIO guitars. 2 Tele’s with neck thru designs. You’re right on the mark with them. Maybe you convinced me to get my Firefly, but IDK. Peace
😂😂 nice move bro you actually got his attention 🤘🤘
No problem. Just buy these six too.
@@digitalchris6681 seven.
I love this man's playing
Thanks!
I have the Vola and it's fucking awesome
Tellin' it like it IS, MAX!! I too, visited Jin @ AIO (after S2 purchase). Really worthwhile interaction. He HAS cracked the code for "High Q/Low $$"! Now VOLA is indeed "Next Level" for that. Bought a 3-Pc Mahogany Luna on which I installed a "Dimebucker Set". It's just NUTS! Suhr/Caparison design/build quality for UNDER $1K! "Indie MIC eBay" is Rockin', too. Scored unbranded "58 V Repro" and "Parker Fly Concept" for c. $250 ea! Can U say: "Modding Budget"?
Hey is that sir guitars a lot shirt for sale somewhere?
The AIO gold top!! That's one of my favorites!!
The best guitar I have ever played was a Parker. I was so light and practically played itself. Just beutiful.
Yes, they are amazing! Wish they were still made!
@@GuitarMAXMusic In a sense...they still ARE!! Check out my recently-posted comment. I can supply details if you're interested...I'm just astounded @ how good my MIC "Parker Fly Concept" in Grey/Purple Liquid Metal Burst" actually IS!!
@@GuitarMAXMusic In a sense...they still are! Got an MIC "Parker Fly Concept" in Grey/Purple Liquid Metal Burst, and the thing is just FANTASTIC! Feel free to hit me up for the details...
Awesome. AIO and Harley Benton are a great value and the construction is very good. Gotta go with P38- wish I had Dick Bongs bird. They finally found his lost P38 lost in a valley in the jungle in like New Guinea. twin boom construction. gotta love it.
As far as budget guitars Eart is king. They started the budget ball end stainless steel revolution and give you a professional level instrument at a ridiculously low price. The necks and bodies are as good as anything out there and are awesome mod platforms.
Thanks for reviewing the Rhoads'. Seems like most gurus tend to favor round bodies.
Eart tele is really good looking for a tele. But I'm bias just don't like pick guards
Ooohh those Jackson JS32 series guitars are superb. I have the white Randy Rhoads V and the natural wood finish superstrat one. The necks on them are amazing.
🤘😎🤘
Yes they are!
Ive had a js32 dinky 7 years now. Pretty solid. Im starting to be ready to move on from it. But its served me well. I had a rhoads js32 but i couldnt get into it. Too neck divey and the fretboard was way too flat for my liking. Had alot more issues than the dk did too. But i get it, for 300 youre not gonna get a great one everytime. Sold it to my friend, he likes it. Dude got a js32 rhoads with emgs for $150 lol (friend price obviously)
Was that a baby??? Max??? You’re a dad? Congratulations!
Lol yeah she makes herself known in my videos. And thanks!
The EART T-380 pretty much impressed me with the first chord. It's got so much clarity, but with grit.
It appears you dusted off the Mustang GTX100 for this one, well done. Still love mine.
i like that eart tele however, i prefer humbuckers that have p/u covers.
I love my eart t380. I bouvht it because of your original video. Its been 👍
Why wasn’t this called “The Six Most Impressive Entry Level Guitars”?
Tom Sisson
That's a cool title but I haven't played all the entry level guitars so I can't make that video yet.
@@GuitarMAXMusic I think you got the title right.
@@GuitarMAXMusic Didn't you pretty-much explain that they are "Impressive" guitars by any standard...that just happen to carry "Entry-Level" prices? I see no "Faux Pas" here...
Cat at the end there 😂
I thought it was a baby lol
Hey Max love your Videos!! When you come next time to germany.Lets have a cup of coffee at Thomann!!😂🤟🤟
Sounds good!
I was going to ask your thoughts on HB and Firefly but see it's already been asked a lot... So another direction...
Your buddy the Bald Shredder is always enamored of the Leo Jaymz Monsoon. Thoughts?
Have you ever played a Keipro? Shijie? Fugizen/FGN? Fernandes? Tajima ( Brazilian)? California's Legator?
You asked in your closing comments, so "wish granted".
Great video and thanks for sharing!
I have the Sun Valley SS Exotic and Vola RV TNC 😁
Love the P-38
Hey Max i know this is off the topic here but you have mentioned a few times on some of your videos that you get your awesome tones sometimes from using a cheap Blackstar ID Core amp and i was wondering if you could buy a Mooer Baby Bomb power amp pedal so that you could hook the ID Core's headphone out to the baby bomb power amp and run that into your 412 cab with it as i imagine that cheap ID Core would sound killer through a 212 or 412 cab and would love to see and here it if you would be interested in doing such a thing, and yes I know most headphone outs on amps usually sound pretty bad but i hear Blackstar amps actually sound great thru the headphone socket so that would be the quickest and easiest way to hook up to a big cab without having to take the Blackstar apart and wiring an ext speaker jack onto it and very interested how it would sound thru the headphone out going into a big cab or into the effects loop return of a proper amp to use that amps speakers as your cab for the Blackstar and with the latter setup you would not need the Baby Bomb power amp as the Effects loop return would then just use your professional amps power amp to amplify the Blackstar tone thru its 112 or 212 cab or head thru a 212 or 412 cab, dont know if you would be willing to try it on video but I would love to see and hear it, just make sure if you use a baby bomb pedal do not hook into your amp with it only a cab with the baby bomb, however by using the headphone out thru another amps effects loop return jack no baby bomb needed cause running a baby bomb into your amp would probably damage your amp so if you use a baby bomb that is to power a cab only never into an amp, anyway thank you for your great videos Max
Hello my friend! I was hoping to see a Firefly on the list. I have 6 of them, and they're all very good. I also have a few from Guitar Fetish as well. Very happy there too. Gibson and Fender better be paying attention.
I hear you... that first 338 I reviewed almost made this list... it was a tough decision.
@@GuitarMAXMusic I'm hoping they bring back the black 338 with the red binding and bat on the head stock.
@@johnjohnson5483tried budget guitars and not my taste. I enjoy my Fenders 🇺🇸 and Mexican
You chose very awesome budget friendly options that you review. I know you are a shredder but do you not think a semi hollow would have been a pick? Especially since you are the one that let me know about Firefly.
Fantastic Max. Thanks for sharing this list with us. I would definitely like to try that Schecter out. It looks absolutely killer!!!!
Great video Max, thanks 👍
No problem 👍
Got two HB T-style...worth 5 Xs their price or more. Amazing value. Even Roswell's sound very decent. Have two AIO T-style (including the neck-thru shown here but in Tele).....amazing setups!!! But, crappy finish... both AIO's were blemished bizarrely all over the place but all minor stuff. LOVE my AIOs...with boutique pups they are exceptional in every way!
Guitar MAX ... You have LONG HAIR .... I proud of you!!😁
Thanks!
I have no hair, I'm envious of him.
Thanks Max
You're welcome!
I had a JS-20…from 1995. The jagged fret ends harkened back to Aztec swords, the tuners had a ratio that clearly tried its best to equal 1….the pickups were the finest magnets that ever graced a refrigerator. The bridge….outlawed by the Geneva convention…nearly disintegrated after three years of hard use. I replaced it with an Epiphone that was so terrible it was almost immediately discontinued. After 7 years, finally, a Soloist. And I loved that guitar. 800 used. Shimmed locking nut. The point is (finally) that I am willing to bet that every guitar on your list played as well as that, or better. I look around and see young players eating at the adult table and eating good. Buy a Les Paul if you want! (Or if you can 😭). Or get a Fesley or HB…and be able to look little Timmy in the eyes and tell him, “Yes, son. You are getting that kidney.”
I wouldn't have included SBS! I bought one of their earlier models, and the issues were not just about taste. I immediately noticed that the fretboard was 1" off the body, so the bridge was raised incredibly high! The worst part though was the fret buzz and dead notes. I initially thought it just needed a setup, but after taking it to not one but two guitar techs, I learned that they sent a warped neck with uneven frets from the factory and that repairing it would be another $150 out of my pocket!!!! I had to return it, which was really a shame because the case it came with was far superior to even some of the better Roadrunner cases I had!
I hear you, but I specifically said the 2nd gen later models in this video! I agree the first ones were lacking.
@@GuitarMAXMusic Definitely but my case was worse than lacking. While I don’t think I’d get SBS again, I was highly impressed by the hardcase that GuitarFetish made
Thank You Max ⚡️🤟🏼🏆
You rock dude!
How do you feel about the P 61 Black Widow? Max I bought 2 guitars that you reviewed, a Fesley FLP 350 and a Westrcreek Revenge both great guitars. I also have a PRS Bernie Marsden. That Vola is killer!
Schecters are killer guitars and sound amazing. I have a few different of the sun valleys and the blue and red reign apocalypse. My favorite is the Banshee Mach 6 with the ultra thin neck.
Amazing video. Look at all those shred machines! 🤘😛🎸
Me I'm a Corsair guy . And Jackson guitar is cool too.
Alas, no Fireflies -- 6 of my 11 are FFs. I like that neck-thru Strat alot, though. Very pretty and sounds great. I never did ask you: Did you build that P-38 back there?
Lower end guitars have definitely came a long way
I bought my first guitar (HB fusion II) because of Max's video. I love that guitar! For future videos I would recommend Sire guitars, they also make fantastic affordable instruments and I have never seen them featured on this channel.
Great video Maxx as usual. Always enjoy your channel. Hope you and the family are doing well ☮️❤️🎸
Thanks so much!
You were the reason I bought a Slick SL54 (T). High quality and pretty unique specs for a "bare-bones/no-nonsense" axe.
Hi Max, I bought the Eart after watching your review, mainly because it looks stunning , not to say your playing was not the usual high standard but it is a great looking guitar at a great price. I am sat here watching this review ,waiting to take delivery of the OZ in blue , another stunner , first seen on your channel. While I won't stop watching the channel , I need to give the credit card a rest . :-) Thanks for great content
Until now, it really puzzles me, how can these brands give so much features for so little money!
Hello Max, Several years ago, I attended The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends at Rickenbacker Field in Ohio, home of the Tusgee Airman. It was Mustang Heaven! I have a photo of myself and my best friend standing in front of the "Forked Tail Devil", Glacier Girl. Thanks for the reviews! Shalom/gw
If you ever get a chance to check out a MIJ Killer guitar well, that would be Fo'Shizzle
I've played a couple of them, but never had a chance to properly review one!
The Schecter rules hand's down!
@mike6666 yup gotta agree with you on that one,i have a Schecter NJ with the HSS set up and it absolutely does rule! best strat style guitar i’ve ever owned
I have one with an EMG 81 and a sustaniac. I feel privileged to play it every time I pick it up. . . but man, it's HEAVY.
@@michaelmetal71 Yeah I've had 6 ranging from $300-$1,500 and they were all awesome. I currently have a C1 plus , the Damien and a C6 deluxe. I sold my other 3 but they were all killer guitars and the quality is always top notch IMO!
@@soundzznetwork My Synyster Gates had the sustainiac and a Floyd Rose 1000 , but it's a bitch changing the strings...
@@mikeg6666 if you put locking tuners on your guitar 🎸 it makes strings changes way faster even with a Floyd Rose, put a set on my kramer pacer classic made changing strings twice as fast
Thanks. 🤘
I own a 1969 gold top gibson ..les paul delux.
Mini Humbuckers.
I have owned it since 1971 . Mint condition.
What do you think.
Solid body. Finish is just beautiful.
P-51 Mustang Gold Cadillac of the Sky.
Chance Vought F4U Corsair Whistling Death it was pictured, but you didn't mention it. Finally, the forked tail devil lockheed's P-38 lightning. When do you review them? 😅
Hope you will check the entry level Yamahas
I love your videos, and wish some of these guitars were sold in a manner i could afford.. Maybe someday. I do own some nice guitars at the moment, but nothing like the ones you review. I am re learning how to play all over again after Flat Lining two times on an ambulance ride just over 2 years ago. I am grateful I am still here to listen to all your reviews .. Thank you.
I'm with you on the P-38 & P-51.
Dude, awesome video!
Thanks!
Is there amy noteable difference between the first and second generation SBS guitars besides the frets? Are the necks the same? I have a first generation one and like it quite a bit, by the way.
Thank you, Max. I appreciate that they are all budget guitars. If you have not arleady done so, can you do a video of your top 3 favorite guitars (not that you necessarily reviewed, but your favorite guitar to pick up and play).
Only thing that bugs the hell out of me is when a company makes a " neck through " and doesn't make the upper frets accessible!!! Meaning the top of the neck thick E string !
Love seeing these, specially the ones featured before I subbed.
My most expensive instrument is a Schecter Diamond Series C-5 Bass (I'm mostly a bassist). My other 2 basses are in the $400 range and my 2 guitars are in the $200 range (Firefly and Squire). A Bari Guitar (Firefly) for... $200. And then I have a Bari Ukulele (Kala) I bought in Hawaii for... you guessed it - $200 (Add $80 for a nice case to get it home to MD safely. Yay, airlines. Sadly not Hawaiian made nor Hawaiian wood, but at least it lived its entire life in Hawaii after manufacture.)
The Schecter C-5 was ~$1k market, but it was a gift from my parents when I was a teenager and learning bass. They got it on sale for ~
Earts are so good. I've been buying them for five years now...they play as good as my Ibanez prestige it doesn't make sense
Got the T380 and playing it tonight.
Also still have my Wolf LP in cherry burst. Looking at Vola...
Great job max thanks always for what you do for all of us on here bro
I appreciate that!
I have a raven neck through super strat. What do you think of them please let me know Thanks 😊 17:40
You should have been slightly more accurate with the title of the video Max and added the word shredding to it! I don't like shredding but still watch your vids. You must do something right! 🙂
I’d rank the Vola number 1 out of your Bakers half dozen.
Yeah. P-38s are pretty sweet.
I can’t believe it’s that long ago but about 15 years ago I used to build my own guitars. Would get most of my parts from Guitar Fetish. Never got a bad part from them. They are a really underrated company.
Glad you included the SBS. Best deal for the 80’s shredders. Sooooo, do you wear that BK crown ever? lol
I only wear the crown when no one is looking!
@@GuitarMAXMusic make a video wearing it😂🤘🏻
How about the Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat, F7F Tigercat, or the Goodyear F2G Super Corsair w/4360 corncob radial? 😉
I feel you can make any guitar sound good 😀. One this I wish these types of videos would cover is the sound system setup that you are using.
Wow! My guitar made Max’s list!
...That's because anyone who knows anything knows the P-38 is the coolest frickin' plane ever.
Can't believe you left out the Burny LP with the Floyd Rose and sustainer.
I don't have a Fusion but my Harley B is a great stock sounding Tele but when the HB Superstrats came out they sure did crack the code.
Love the Burger King crown 🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸🔥
one more thing. i would love to see the finishes on guitars as pickguards. that would be so coolio.
Prediction: Schechter E-1 FRS on the list?
The Slick sl 54 fr 5 years ago my fave fiddle ever! have many more expensive fiddles byt always my go to. Love it and the alnico 5 pickup love the channel man.
How about the six best pointy guitars?
Please and thanks Hey do some guitar reviews with guitar straight into amp no effects
Beautiful Hallicrafters S-38A Receiver behind you! Are you a Ham operator? 73 W9BBR
Thanks! And yes. KN6VNE.
I really enjoy your content but anyone who puts Harley Benton on a list, under no circumstances, can be taken seriously. This is not a bad post, Your content is always topp notch, just this one point. You still have great content and good interest in your other videos. Before anyone starts chiming in, yes Id rather stick to one guitar for year until I can buy something really decent that throw away money on HB's. ANd yes I know its personal prefrance, but I also have my prefrences. If you have money to save , Fender (Japanese then American), Gibson, Ibanez RG/Jem/Prestige, FGN and then Tokai. Have heard G&L are good as well, never played one.
I bought a used Saito S622 a few months ago. It's the best guitar I've ever played. (Since 1988)
Would have loved to see an LP style guitar in the list. There had been quite a few amazing ones on the channel
Super helpful
🤘🎸🤘Maximum Guitar!!!
No Chibsons..?! 🤭
