      Trust me when the hype of a new PRS dies down... so in about 30 minutes, real guitar players, using their own money, would not pick this over an ASAT unless they are just so brand blind as to be ignorant....one of my best mates bought an ASAT from Andertons, it is an incredible sounding guitar, butterscotch with full flame maple neck, hardcase all for £1200... If I could choose between anything that was played in the room, I'd go for the purple tele. The PRS models don't seem bad, but I'm not convinced they're worth the price, especially not the signature model. If I were to buy a tele I'd probably go for an Ultra from Fender.

      It's almost like a tele for someone who doesn't 100% want a tele. Not bad, but I definitely liked the purple tele more. I really don’t understand why they’d go with a dual humbucker setup. The charm of a Tele is that single coil bridge twang. Id have a hard time justifying an extra $2,000 to get this over an FMT HH from Fender if that’s the configuration I wanted.

    I really love PRS guitars, and where they did the Silver Sky so right, they really dropped the ball on this one.
    The body is is alright looking (the blue and green paint-jobs are pretty underwhelming).
    I'd bet money the bridge is gonna be problematic with intonation over time.
    The pickups are kinda terrible IMO. Way too round and warm for a T-style. Where's the chime/jangle/sparkle/snap? I'm not a Tele purist, but... coil taps? I mean... come on guys.
    Worst of all is the price tag, 2800-3k is astronomical! You can get a top of the line Fender Tele for that price!
    I get that one of these is an artist model, and I guess that's fine?
    I don't see this one going over well with the PRS fans that were hoping for a T-style in the same vain as the Silver Sky - missed the mark.

      Because paul is arrogant AF - and believes the rhetoric he has spun about any guitars he makes being the best.
      He has seen boutique builders increasing pricing (mostly because of increased costs on the size of their business) and believes his guitars are worth more now with the inflation.
      It’s greedy gouging AND these are ugly to boot.
      Here’s the thing - 90% of guitar tone snd feel can be perfected by hardware and pickup swapping, and a proper pro setup.
      As long as everything is made out of a solid metal (not cheap chinesium or copper) and as long as you have a decent quality pickup (iron gear are good enough)
      The last 10% is material quality from the rest of the guitar.
      Here’s the thing - that quality doesn’t have to look good. People obsess over fancy woods because they look good but in reality - you’re just looking for a hard well cured wood. That’s why roasted is actually a good pick. All it’s doing is supporting the string’s resonance. And if you play with gain - the last 10% doesn’t matter.
      To answer your question
      These are not worth the money

    • @Russell_Optics
      @Russell_Optics Год назад

      @@Tiptronics The neck actually looks weird to me being so "white" because are not roasted. Very good point. Not only are roasted necks better quality, but they look nicer as well. I just purchased a new Vola Vasti M3 that is superb. Made in Japan, locking tuners, intonated S/S saddles, and flawless fit & finish all for $850 direct. The neck isn't roasted, but well-cured hard maple.

    • @Tiptronics
      @Tiptronics Год назад

      @@Russell_Optics most of my maple necks are roasted, but I do enjoy a plain maple. I have a cheap kramer with an actually incredibly rock hard plain maple neck - looks great for that 80’s style.
      The colour is definitely a taste thing, the trend has definitely gone towards darker necks as a sign of quality - but i can see blonde necks coming back
