I was raised by a guitar playing father with guitar playing uncles, and guitars were just part of my life from the start. At 13, I got the bug, and I had to play that guitar. I would sit for hours plucking away on my dad's 61 Gibson ES 330 through his 75 fender pro reverb. That is a passion i have carried with me throughout my life. I am 55 now, my dad and uncles are all gone, but I have my own guitar collection, as well as my dad's stuff, but most of all, I still have that love of the guitar! It has been the passion of my life. Thanks, dad!
Keep that love of music alive I'm 33 my dad played bass when he was younger. My parents raised me on classic rock, blues, metal, just all types of music in general. I started playing bass and guitar back when I was a freshman in high school. Now I'm turning 33 and have a beautiful collection of guitars, basses, violins, 2 drum sets, 2 keyboards, a harp, a high end vocal setup, tons of software and a few pedals as well.
One of the best interviews ever with Jared! Thank you! Also, Jared is just awesome. Myself and my daughter go to every gig he does in Nottingham and we’ve been lucky enough to meet and chat with him at every show and he always makes time for us and even acknowledges us from the stage. It genuinely feels like catching up with an old friend and we’re so grateful for his kindness! Also, he’s influenced my playing so much! Opened up a whole new world and even helped me ditch the pick! He is absolutely the real deal. Can’t wait to see him at Rock City next month! 👍🏻👊🏻🖤
The amount of guitar/musician camaraderie in that room is inspiring. That’s what’s it’s about. Just feeding off of the vibe/energy and enjoying the conversations those instruments are having.
I've met him twice and he's one of the nicest , most genuine people you will ever meet. A fun person that loves to cut up and crack jokes. If he comes near do yourself a favor and go see him. Hang out afterwards and he'll come out and talk with everybody.

What an amazing experience this was for me. Thank you for sharing this incredibly detailed interview with a very gifted man, but also a very gifted reporter. Bumps up for you brother; that interview was gold for all on the floor.

I attended Musicians Institute around the same time as Jared. The first time watched him play was when MI hosted a Gibson guitar competition. Jared won by playing a really sick slow blues jam in G. He probably doesn’t remember who I am but i am proud to have met him before he blew up and I’m happy for all his success.
. Absolutely. Not to mention the fact that he's a southpaw, yet is able to accomplish and innovate in standard form the way he does is really quite impressive

Not only is Jared a fantastic guitar player, but he’s also a great influence as a person for aspiring musicians on which good habits to have on the road, and the pitfalls to avoid. Great interview and excellent jam session between the two of you, Tyler!

What I love about JJN is how generous he is with his time and how passionately he wants to pass on some of his skill and give people some of the joy the instrument has given him.
Jared said he's not so much into textbook type playing and it seems he's a music professor he knows all the scales and notes. He has so much passion in his guitar playing. You can see how much he loves playing guitar and I think that is why he plays so amazing. All I can say he is great. Is book smarts in guitar theory reminds me of Eric Clapton.

I really enjoyed this video so much, 2 great players having fun... thank you !
This was awesome. Great energy, great licks. Watched quite a few interview type things with Jared and this was the first time I think I saw him for who he is. Irreplaceable. Thanks man!
Omg!! I stumbled on this video and i am a FAN!! 😊
What an amazing, humbling and inspiring video and interview. Thank you!
these are my favorite videos watching the creativity happen and yall explain it where i can see it hear and copy it
Ive had the opportunity to see jared live and he is genuinely one of the most fascinating guitar players i have ever seen, i have so much respect for him !
I don't even know where to begin. JJN is amazing but he's so humble and down to earth. I have always been into guitar players that are phenomenal players but don't have an ego. You can tell that he just love what he does and doesn't care about having an ego. I still can't figure out what I'm trying to say without just rambling. You need to have him on your channel more often maybe even think about work on recording together. You two work well together. Guitar Chemistry!!!!
What a Masterclass! I love how he freely shares so many techniques.
Bravo. My favorite guitar are 1962 SG Custom (PAF with ebony block) 1963-1964-1965 SG Standard, SG Special and Les Paul SG Junior. I like also the 1963 reissue SG Special Custom shop hanging in the studio James right hand...
Loved when he said a 1952 whammy bar. This is the first time I’ve heard him and he is incredible. Love his innovative approach to creating soulful creations.❤️👍
Man... Jared's neck pickup tone part on the Sexy Jam is🔥
Most entertaining guitarist interview ever done. Mini lessons along with techniques and very interesting origin story!
this p90 sounds great with that Fender. awesome crunchy sound. Might use this on the new recordings
That was so enlightening and incredibly entertaining! I picked up my guitar afterwards and played so much better just from the inspiration. Thanks so much to you both!
