Listen. These greens are indeed BANGIN! One thing I did differently is sautee the onions and garlic in the coconut oil first. Then I added a couple handfuls of the greens, sauteed them with the onions and garlic, then added seasoning, then the rest of the greens along with enough water to cover. Used vegan butter. Added a cap full of apple cider vinegar. Adjusted amount of seasoning to taste. Baaaaaby! This one is a keeper. Thanks so much for this Berlinda!
OMGGGGGG I promise you I will NEVER COOK THESE WITH SMOKED TURKEY AGAIN. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’m trying to go vegan and Lord these were good. Struggling to find Mac and cheese recipe. Thank you ma’am
I just made these greens and they are DELICIOUS! My mother loved them and she only likes her greens made with pork or turkey. Thank you for the recipe this is definitely going to become our staple!!!❤
MS. Berlinda, Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are God sent for me with this recipe for Collard Greens. There's so much sodium in Smoked Turkey, and I knew I needed to find a healthier way to prepare them. I cooked them today and they're delicious! 😋 God bless you!
I followed your recipe and I must say for my past as a serious carnivore, your greens are awesome. Thank you, for this addition to my new plant based life style.
I’m so grateful I found this video. My son doesn’t eat meat and the greens I made last year were awful. Can’t wait to blow his mind with this recipe lol. Me and hubby will be enjoying my banging traditional greens haa haa.
Wish I had run across this recipe years ago. I tried this recipe and it is delicious!!! I will never make collard greens any other way. I'm sold. Thanks for sharing.
Followed your recipe last thanksgiving and let me tell you, this is a family favorite!! I'm vegan so I didn't know I could make meatless greens, thank you !! Btw you and your husband are beautiful 💜

Lord I made your greens AGAIN and I ATE THE WHOLE POT. I am going whole food lifestyle and this will be one of my staples for the week. I love greens that much. Thank you for this recipe. Chicken looks absolutely amazing but not a part of my life regularly especially fried. God Bless
I'm not sure if this channel is still alive but I could not go another minute without thanking you for this recipe. I watched this video 3 times over and after seeing the raves in the comment section, I took it on. I basically had everything (collards were purchased at the farmers market) on hand. I totally believe it when people said they wanted to eat the whole pot. Happy new year!
Making this today for Thanksgiving! The family loves it! My daughter doesn't eat pork so this is a very good recipe for everyone in my household! Thank you for sharing!❤
I was looking for a vegan version of greens and after watching a few others I came across yours. When I saw you grab the Tony’s I knew that this will be the recipe I’m gonna use. Can’t wait to make them for Christmas dinner.
1Glamrys Thanks I made some last night! :) Besides tasting great: They totally heal ur digestion track, give u energy, keep you regular, and provide essential vitamins to your body 🍽️👍🤗
Berlinda's Food 4 The Soul Ford I couldn't agree more! My family requests YOUR greens regularly. I think I've made them 5 times in 2 weeks! Soon as they're gone...they want MORE!!!
Luv greens!!! All kinds of green veggies. Keeping it meatless is even better. Could not wait to cook me some collard greens. Can’t handle the sodium content that Tony’s creole seasoning has. I’ll wing it some how. New follower’😊
I’m going to make these tomorrow. I already know the recipe is good because hubby said “they bangin” 😂😂😂 I’m from the west coast and I can tell a reformed and refined street dude but when he ate them greens he we back to the streets with the “they bangin” 😂😂
Your food looks sooooo good! I’m here six years after you made this!😂 I only have frozen collards, but I’ll try my best to do your recipe. Can I substitute Lowry’s for the Accent or Lemon Pepper?
Thank you for sharing. I just tried these greens today, (Thanksgiving) and they are so good. I was nervous trying a new recipe for my meat eating picky tween son. I must say he went back for seconds. I love them too as a pescatarian. This will be my go to from now on for greens.
Making this for thanksgiving this year, minus the butter since my brother is allergic‼️ might I add you & your husband are a super cute couple!!! #Goals this looks so yummy! Will update you on Thursday night
I'm not sure when to add the lemon pepper. In the beginning or after the greens have been cooking for 10 minutes? I am using fresh collards. Is it okay to use salted butter? Thanx for your help
I had to come back after Thanksgiving and say thanks so much for this recipe. I had to make a small pot for my son who doesn’t eat meat. Used everything you used except, I didn’t add cayenne pepper. It was really good, I may stop adding meat as well, thanks again!
I’ve been wanting to add collards to my Christmas spread so I’ve been studying a lot of recipes. This one looks the most promising by far. Can’t wait to try ‘em.
ok, here we go, gotta bike 3 miles to grocery store, no garlic nor onions! not going to use butter, i will work it out. using fresh greens from farmers' market, washed well and going to follow the rest of your instructions verbatim. cooking for one is sometimes difficult but i shop often and buy smaller portions. like our ancestors did, went to market several times per week, no refrig. much thanks for you work!
I use no onion or garlic most of the time because I eat it and so do my dogs . I do use broth I make . I also use the broth in the dogs water so no salt or sugar.
Just enough to cover them.. U can always add more water nd seasoning as u go.. Even more oil nd buter if needed just taste as u go along.. U will do a good job trust me this one is easy... ;)
