    I am Dutch and more important, a Guzzi fan (have 2 Guzzi’s). Dutch means somewhat tall/big and I adjusted seat heights and positioning dimensions on both of my bikes to what I like.
    Riding a Guzzi, for me, is more of an experience than riding any bike I had before (BMW, Yamaha, Honda (few different types). I think it is important what you preference is. If it is a big twin with the accent on torque instead of revs, Guzzi is a nice choice. 15 years ago I switched to Guzzi. A very good friend of me introduced me int the world of Guzzi. If you like to do your own maintenance (like me) the Guzzi is prevailing as well. It is somehow ‘zen’ to do. From my Guzzi heart point of few, I fully agree with your point of view. In my point of view, you produced an honest, clear and well balanced topic. Thank you.

      Hi, thanks so much I really appreciate that and glad you enjoyed the review 👍 Absolutely Moto Guzzi is all about the riding experience and involvement!

    Last year (2021), I started bird-dawgin this Italian beauty.
    In September 2022, I gave Plano, Texas USA Moto Guzzi a $500 deposit.
    Early in the morning of 10/17/2022, on the Moto Guzzi USA web store, I entered my online “reservation” for the 2023 V100 Mandello “S” in “Centenario” Livery (premium Verde 2121 color) - Special Edition $17,490.
    The customer care representative told me my Order# 190 was the 1st V100 Mandello order received by Moto Guzzi USA.
    I’m SUPER EXCITED!
    To me, the V100 Mandello is STUNNINGLY EXOTIC & HANDSOME!

      Hi, it is my pleasure, really glad you enjoyed the review 👍 I think the handling has slightly similar characteristics, as in likes nice long smooth corners etc... However the engine is vastly different! The Ninja and Suzuki are a lot faster and more exciting engines to rev out (being inline 4 cylinders). However the Guzzi has lovely useable low down torque and is full of character.
      I would like to ride them back to back to find out.

    • @Fernando90054
      @Fernando90054 Год назад

      @@redangrevival Thank you for giving here your personal opinion. I think that I understood it well. Maybe the Japanese being of a more sportish nature, they invite the biker to ride faster, like the BMW S 1000 XR or the SDGT (one is a screamer and the other one a Beast). The Guzzi is more a roadster machine with touring capabilities, it compels you to drive fast but at slower top end speeds (isn't it?). We have, as riders, the decision how to ride the bike, but at the same time, the bike can transmit you what she's more able to do and that ends influencing our way of riding, I believe.

      @@Fernando90054 Hi, I'm moved by the same curiosity as you. I have a keen interest in the V100 as it would make a great tourer, torquey engine, shaft drive, decent protection, luggage. I do weekend tours and motorcycle on my motorbike, used to have a GS, moved to a Ninja 1000sx which I love. I compared it to the S1000XR and although both have four-inline engines, the Ninja's is very different, it's much more useable low down, you don't have to rev it that hard to get a decent response and thanks to the extremely elastic engine you can ride it quite relaxed, knowing that there's enough power if you want it. My only two doubts with regard to the Mandello is whether it won't feel a little bit "underpowered" compared to the Ninja as there's a 25hp gap for the same weight, I can't wait for a face-to-face comparison

    • @Fernando90054
      @Fernando90054 Год назад

      @@carlosalonso9866 Yes, your fears may be confirmed. The truth from my point of view is that in this case the phrase less is more, doesn’t apply. What I think in fact, is as follows:- if you have a powerful bike, you can always make use of it if you want, even if you don’t have on public roads a lot of opportunity to do so, in a safe way. But you know that it’s there at your disposal.
      Other thing, is that you have a not so powerful bike, but you have torque and a very nice low and medium range power band response, but no top end speed. This, is annoying to me. I want a bike that even when I ride relaxed and chill, I feel all the power beneath my seat, just waiting for me to unleash it , if it is my desire.

    Tha ks for the video. As you know I have pre ordered the tracer gt+ co firmed prices now at £15000. This guzzi is so so tempting for me. Such a pretty bike and got some awesome features. However I would pick the S model and speccd up with panniers and top box this bike is going to £1500 more than the tracer gt+ and even though this bike trumps the tracer on looks and maybe character the yamaha wins in every other department.. Still not 100% convinced yet depends how much commision I earn in the next few months 😅😅

      It is my pleasure, really glad you liked the video 👍 Yes these two bikes really are very close competitors. Very tough decision, I really enjoyed the V100 and think it is a very special bike. Personally I think I would go with the Tracer GT+, better for long distance touring etc... Just personal opinion. However if you want something special then the V100 is great.

    Thanks Angus. I'm a Guzzi fan, and a sports tourer fan (and a Speedmaster fan). I'm interested in how you think this compares to the BMW R1250RS- someone else mentioned this, I think. I love my RS, but you have the benefit of owning neither the Guzzi or BMW. Push come to shove...which would you have? (And no, you're not allowed a GS...)

Looking forward to some sun ( Ha ! - I did my rain/snow riding in the 60s and have since got some arthritis and an O-Level, so b****cks to winter ) to get the V100 run-in. @redangrevival  Год назад

      I have ridden the Guzzi V11 Sport and yes I get exactly what you mean about the character 👍 I suppose you could say that about a lot of older air cooled bikes though

    • @bmp72
      @bmp72 Год назад

      @@redangrevival I dont think it has to do with aircooled though. The old bikes had no ballancer shafts, counter rotating flywheels to mitigate vibrations, stuff like that. Just a simple very heavy flywheel and that was it. Also I think key was that the reaction forces of the rear drive went through the entire frame, and where not contained to just the rear drive and gearbox.
