You can also control ARP's variables with pods, simply hold arp, and use the first five pods to change. Starts to feel like a synth :)

From all the reviews it seems amazing for ppl who primarily use Ableton, since the Launchkey is custom made for Ableton, but im curious how much is lost for ppl who use a different DAW, such as Tracktion.

Great intro. I think this is the one I'm going to order. I originally was looking at the MiniLab MK2 because I have the full version of Analog Lab and Pigments. But this looks like it can be set up to control it too, and has a lot more for Ableton, which is more important once I get the audio sounds I want.

I got one the other day. I originally bought it to use in Logic. It works well in logic but I did download the lite version of Ableton live 11. I can't figure it out. I've got to learn all the functions and buttons etc... I have no idea currently!

Hi! I really liked your video, and i want to buy this launchkey but its my first time buying something like this so ill need help! I have an acoustic guitar that has no plug in, so could i buy this launchkey and attach it to my laptop and record and loop my guitar live (through laptops mic)? So, there's play and record on the Launchkey Mini, and then there's the play and record in the Ableton Live. When do you use which?

Hi! Have you made sure your Ableton is up to date? Ableton sends the latest firmware to work with the MK3 so you need to make sure that's updated for it all to work properly :)

The last 3 keys have a circle, a triangle, and a square label above it. What do those do? Couldn't find it in the manual
none of this happens with my pad...
like at all... none of the colors are the same and half of them don't light up, nothing responds the same way.

Hello friend ! I have Novation Launchkey 49 mk 3. DAW - Ableton. Such a problem, in midi arrange mode the keyboard plays only one track in the project. I switch to another track, it still plays the same track. tools do not switch. only one instrument plays in the project.;(((
How do I map the pads to different drum sounds from a drum library such as KONTAKT? Do you have a video for that?

I am having a problem with my launchkey,,i cant switch to session mode...if i press shift,session view pad is not lighting up..my novation is also not playing my ableton...its been 6 months,,its the first time i faced this problem...need help pls
thanks for this, appreciate it, could you explain to me how i could make my pads not velocity sensitive, if that is a option. i would rather change velocity manually in ableton so i dont have to smack the pads to get max velocity while everyone is sleeping, its quite noisy. i would just like all pads to have a velocity of 100 no matter how hard the hit, is this possible? thanks
Thank u for this.❤ The problem I'm having with my new Launchkey is it works fine with any other instrument sound in my DAW (piano, guitar, etc.) But if I try to use any of the drums, it only plays 3 drum sounds on the first couple keys of the piano, but no other drums sounds will play, and none of the other keys make a sound. It's so frustrating 😫
Don't know of this is helpful or not but if you select the "drum mode" on the launchkey, the pads will turn blue, and they will trigger whatever drum kit you have selected in ableton. (Midi channel 10.) It is not possible to configure what pad plays wich drum, you will have to assign them in your DAW.
If you want to play drum sounds with the keys, maybe you need to go down or up an octave.

Can you use the Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 standalone without a computer? I know, it need to be usb powered, but I want to use it without Ableton. Does it has sounds in it already?

When I press shift, I have two orange and one green only.
Bought MINI-MK3 keyboard and it is not working as expected. I press the SHIFT and only 2 orange and 1 green pads light up/ This is not what I saw in the tutorial vid. Cannot change modes with SHIFT. I tried to contact Novation 3 times and they completely ignorred it. No response of any kind. Tried the factory reset, but no luck.

I'm completely lost: How do I use the pitch and modulation slides? It might be a stupid question, but either they don't give any input, or I havent found something that actually makes use of it, yet.
My launchley only displays 2 orange pads when i hit shift. drums and custom. What do i do?

The only thing I don't like is how loose and wobbly the top control pots are. They seem to work fine but they feel really cheap. I hope they don't break. Thanks for the video
Hmm a couple of people have mentioned this. They felt ok to me and to be honest I don't mind that it's not super solid because it means it's really light weight to carry about but yeh for some people it could be something to consider
