- Several times over the past year I've noticed and when I get in the car sound does not work on my radio, Sirius XM... Even when Bluetooth is connected I get no sound out of speakers. After a few days it magically just starts working again. I've seen a lot of posts online of this happening to all sorts of Fords with the sync system. this may be able to help you even if you don't have a 2014 Ford edge.
Today I figured out at least one solution on how to get this working immediately.
Car: 2014 Ford edge
Issue:. No sound coming out of the speakers
Had this issue too.
I disconnected the BMS wire from the negative battery terminal and has auto zone run a free check on the battery, starter and alternator. When the reading populated it rebooted the radio. When the battery drops below 14V it automatically shuts the radio off to save power.
The reason it comes back on its own is because the battery recharges above 13v. Short driving trips will lower the battery level. Good luck
Struggling with my fusion and try too many ways to fix it. That's the only one that works, thanks
I searched but didn't find in fusion 2013
Disconnected my power on my battery and it resynked...and works now
I'll never buy another Ford product as long as I live because of the SYNC system. If they can't even get the radio and clock to work properly and reliably, they don't deserve my business. It's madness to have to disconnect power or pull the fuse and put it back for it to work. And, every time I have taken my Ford C-Max to the dealership for service, when they ask me about buying a new Ford, I tell them that will NEVER happen, and why.
Drama queen
Honestly same though, it’s kind of a ridiculous issue
I’ve learned and noticed that if I leave anything in the charging ports before shutting the car off this happens! I think they must all be on that same circuit or something. Weird issue, but I love my Ford Edge! Such a beautiful ride.
Had similar issue with 14 f150, however the solution was not the same. Radio would be on but intermittently no sound. Restarting vehicle seemed to work sometimes but eventually nothing helped. About the same time my right rear door ajar notice began popping up even when door was closed tight. I pulled back the boot exposing the wires from car body to the door and found some broken wires. I repaired the wires, door ajar notice went away, and radio works perfectly every time. I did not disconnect the battery or mess with any other wiring at all. I can only theorize that some of the broken wires were for the door speaker and the broken exposed ends contacted each other and shorted out the speakers to the entire vehicle. I do remember there were a couple of times I heard a pop from the speakers and then they quit, but most of the time they either worked or they didn't. Any way just posting in case it helps anyone.
my 2016 ford fusion se sync gets a loud static sound and then cuts off all sound from my radio then itll come back eventually sometimes takes days
Bro you just saved me on my drive home !!!
This actually worked! Thank you so much! 🙌🏻
Thank you I just had a problem with my 2014 f150 and unplug the wire harness like you did radio is back on
Which connection was it? Having same issue on 14 f150
@@ericmendoza6261 where the fuse panel is on on the inside on the passenger side there's the white wire harness unplug it and plug it back in

Brother thanks for the info it worked great !
Glad I could help!
Lifesaver! Worked here
Buddy you my vote thank you
I can't connect phone
When i click phone ( audio muted appear on the screen) what the solution??
I have the same car
Did you resolve your problem? I have te same problem but in a Taurus 2014
Wondering if you noticed the *Mute* on the bottom right corner of the media screen
Thank you!
Thank you bro you are awesome
The remote start ended up working for me
My Ford Edge just did the same thing this morning. Did this help long term or was it only a quick fix? Thank you!
Had to do it maybe twice. Haven't had the issue since maybe Jan.
Mind you...I'm not a mechanic, nor do I work for Ford. I assumed this disconnected the power from the battery to the radio. My guess is...if you disconnected the battery, you'd get the same effect. Either way. I'm not recommending you do either of these. Just letting you know what worked for me.
I have a 2014 Explorer interceptor when I place phone it just says audio muted and I can't get it to get anything. The radio part works fine
Did you figure out what the issue was?
I have a 2016 f250. The radio works just fine, but when I put it on Bluetooth audio, no sound comes out of the speakers at all.
I tried what thus video recommended, but it didn't change anything.
Thank you!!!! It worked🤎🤎🤎 I really appreciate you
I have a 2014 sport and the only 2 speakers that work are in the front of the vehicle
Remote start worked! Thank you!
Thank you it’s worked for me
It's a condensation issue if you get a very very moist day at the tenants to do these things Sony didn't put wax on their electrical components computer components most importantly thay never thought they would need to
Fuck yeahhh son, that shit works Cheif
my ford ranger doing the same...cant see the box you talking about
It basically disconnects the battery from the radio. I think you can effectively do the same thing by disconnecting the battery if that's something you're comfortable with.
@@diyjerry794 tried both, still not solved
Isn't working. Still the same. But thanks
A couple of things to check. Does your phone still connect via Bluetooth. Does no audio come through? Or does it come on and just very quiet. Have you checked all modes like CD FM and phone?
You could potentially try to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Also you could try doing an upgrade to your firmware using a USB and downloading the firmware from Ford.
Nothing work. I cant even change from AM to FM. I cant connect my phone. No cd work no usb work. No audio at all.
@@edwinmoctezuma137 im having this same issue on my 2014 ford fusion
alex humphries same problem on my fusion
@@roadwarrior607 hey Alex how did you fix 2014 for fusion no audio problem.Im having the same issue????

How
Get to the point
It's a 3 minute video. In a world where every clown on RUclips posts 10 minute videos... You can handle 3 minutes. I'm sure of it.
DIY Jerry yea but when this first happens to u. All u can do is panic and ur over here taking 10 billion years to get to the point
@@just_a5.7 I understand you were panicking. It's a sucky feeling and I wish it wasn't as stressful as it was.
