- 2015 Ford escape radio no sound can't change frequency any suggestions. I've disconnected the battery for 20mins, changed all radio fuses, turned off opened drivers door for 15 seconds and did radio factory reset and still no sound.
Having this same issue right now. Started the car this morning and lo'n behold, no sound from the radio. You can change the channels FM AM but no sound at all.
Did you ever fix it. I’m having same problem
Same
Mine too
I am having this SAME EXACT issue with the same starting issues and everything. Did you end up finding anything? Mine is 2014.
Do like my cousin did he got a Bluetooth speaker stuck it in a cup holder listen to music that way. This is why I love my older vehicle at least I can swap out as many radios as I want plus your emergency flashers are right on the steering wheel where it belongs.
I’m having the same issue and it won’t connect to my phone in addition to no sound
This is Jimmy from Brooklyn want to know why was the solution I'm having the same problem
Having same issue on my 2017 Ford Escape. 4 years old and radio shot. Stupid and of course I am just over 70k miles, so no warranty anymore. I didn't have any sound indicating there was a problem. It was working great, no issues. Next day nothing. Out of nowhere.
Did you get it fixed? What was wrong.
Como lo solucionaste
Mine is doing the same exact thing. Any solution yet?
Nope
I have a 2015 ford escape se my radio stopped working it stuck on a.m. I don't know how to change it to FM I used a CD it does not work no sound on either device now my camera is not working I took the positive off the battery I don't know what else to do I called Ford and they said that they have no recalls on any other radios it is driving me nuts trying to figure out what is wrong I had the battery checked today it said it was 100% to the cable off it didn't work so I'm stuck with no sound in my radio and my back up camera is not working it went off this morning and it says this system is is not available if you have any suggestions please let me know
I’m having the exact same issues.
I bought a new radio and I put it in sound came on but the volume is not working and the 2 speakers in the back seems like there not working what should I do
Mine did that and Ford told me it's the audio control module went out.
Ya, mine too. Not proof. More like BANG! Like a gun shot!
Has anyone replaced their radio with an aftermarket radio? Did it work then?
Replace the Acm audio control module. Which is basically your CD player that’s in the dash
Where do u buy the acm
latosha howard junk yards , dealer is over $700
@@joemama5259 Just get a Bluetooth speaker.
My stopped working completely, and it may from everything I've read may require changing out the Audio Control Module (ACM).
I read that too , since this post is from a year ago , did you fix it and what did you do to fix it.
Mine won't even come on. Started 3 days ago. No problem before. The screen works for camera and the date, time, and temp. Hit power and the boxes come up and right back off
I am having the same issue with my 2014 Ford Escape
Replace the ACM which is basically the CD player behind the dish
Same
Mine off n on as well. But finally died. Did like a struck by lightening scream. Rest of my screen works. Just no radio sound.
had same issue in 2012 ford fiesta se! Ian Louden knows what hes talking about! Listen to him. hes correct
Sounds like a lot of the Ford Escape is having the same issue. My brother in law is having the same problem
I have a 2013 escape. Same problem. Who thinks it’s the radio tuner?
Did you ever figure out what the issue was?
Yes just posted an update video

I have the same but my Ford is a Kuga 2013 Does anyone have a solution? It would be great if someone could help me.
Tired fixing mine - a fusion 2015 and of course, after watching a number of you tube videos, and doing the recommendations, same thing - issue not resolved.

I have a 2014 Ford Escape with the same problem.
MrHulltech2 same thing I have been dealing with this issue for months now, I’ve been to ford to see if they can fix it and $1185 later still no fix.
Same here I got my 2014 escape no sounds at all
I took a gamble and went on ebay and purchased a new ford stereo for $35.00 & installed it into my car and it fired right up. I guess it for sure is the stereo that was bad. Dont know how long it will last but I got tunes now.
MrHulltech2
Hey MrHulltech2 Do you have the link of the item you bought on Ebay ? Having the same problem with my wife’s Ford Escape.
The navigation still makes sound
The Bluetooth still connects but doesn’t make any sound
The touch still sounds
But no sound on the radio.
Just go on Ebay and type in 2014 Ford Escape radio and it will bring up a listing of them for sale.
You will have to open a ebay account in order to buy anything. I hope you have good luck with your car like I did.
My turns on but no sound at all my camera went off it's never came back on and mine is stuck on a.m. I cannot change it to FM and the Ford symbol that came on before it went out is not on either I don't know if it's a fuse or what but please if anybody has any suggestions or angels on this 2015 Ford Escape please let me know it's driving me nuts
Mine is 2015 backup camera stop working an now radio will light up but no sound…did u find out what was wrong with yours?
I have same problem my radio no sound
Gps working but no sound
Backing alarm no sound too
Ford escape 2014
Update on the radio so I took my dash apart and took the radio out and disconnected it and reset everything and still doesn't work. I'm thinking it's the radio that shot which I contacted ford and said it would be around $600 to replace. I've searched Ebay and found some for $100 but the numbers dont match you have to get the right one or you'll have to bring it to a dealership to have them reprogram it. My # fj5t-14d544-aa which I cant find anywhere most start with cj56. I'm gonna try one more thing I'm gonna try and do a USB software update on the sync to see if that will do anything.
Quick question everything in your sound system is stock right? No aftermarket subwoofer or amps?
Zach Man is there any updates? Cos mines got same prob here
Howard Roasa if your radio isn’t giving an sound I would replace your ACM (audio control module) it is the CD player unit itself. I replaced that and my factory amplifier and all is good again for my sound.
I tried the usb update and it doesn't work either 😭
lol
Had the same problem. Found used radio receiver, installed, problem solved.
did you just get a used radio from junk yard
My 16' Taurus police car radio just went out for no damn reason. These newer cars are built so shitty it's outright disrespectful! No way my dept is gonna spent $1100 to fix this piece of shit. I miss my Hemi Charger. Those cars have their own issues but the radio never did this crap. Same with the indestructible Crown Vic. They'll run 500k with the same radio lol
Yeah, Ford ought to have to recall everyone of these vehicles and replace this stupid radio. Horrible design. Too complicated, too much bullshit on it. My Mom recently bought a 2014 Escape..same damned thing everyone else here is complaining about. This radio is just garbage. Otherwise, great vehicle.
Not only that but now I have a misfire cylinder 3 and its using coolant none in the oil but its leaking somewhere and I called ford and the said they have a recall on 2013-2017 with that issue but of course my vin numbers aren't apart of the recall. The recall is to replace the whole engine. Junk never buy the fords with turbos.
@@redneckcountryboy678 Sounds like you got taken advantage of by the dealer. One of the best tools I ever invested in was one of those little diagnostic readers that plug into the OBD2 diagnostics port under the steering wheel. Tell you all kinds of stuff through codes you can then look up online. The misfire could be a fouled plug due to excessive carbon build up, just worn out or that coolant might even be inside the cylinder wall getting on it stopping it from firing off correctly. If they put the improper plug in it'll run stupid as well. There's all sorts of valleys and passages coolant can get into throughout an engine block. I'd get a second opinion on that recall.
@@kaylamarie8309 yeah I changed the plugs put in new coil and I have a tablet that connects to the vehicle and streams live data from the vehicle i can see how everything its doing and definitely a ford shitty design program.
@@redneckcountryboy678 Hi Dustin..there is a tool that is not too expensive to test for a blown head gasket called a block leak tester. I bought one, works great. A lot of people think that you have to have oil in the coolant to prove a blown head gasket but the gasket can also be blown around a cylinder wall etc. Could be your issue. It's hard to detect because even though you lose coolant the heat of the engine will burn it off leaving you wondering what the Hell is going on with your coolant disappearing. Take a look at this Scotty Kilmer video titled "How To Test A Blown Head Gasket in Your Car" It could be why you are having issues with that one cylinder acting up. Worth a look anyway..Scotty is an amazing mechanic even if he is a little eccentric.
Anyone know what’s wrong with mine the screen is black and it shows the temperature ,time and date but on a black screen but it won’t get out of it and Under the volume knob there’s a lock with a light on but I try pressing the button but I’m not able to press it
that light is to say that the car is locked or not. when the lights on its locked. it has nothing to do with the radio
I have the same problem
Have same issue with my 2018 escape 😢
Ford said it’s the acm want a thousand to fix it
Get ride of that piece of crap ford
How do i upgrade this garbage
Took the amplifier out the whole system is made in China Ford dropped the ball on this
Mine 2013 Escrap made a static bang noise and hasn’t been working. The music I was listening to was crap anyway so I’m fine just listening to all the janky noises this car makes! I just spent 1600$ on a new battery and alternator for this shit car! Two years ago I spent 4300$ on a rebuilt transmission so I’m making myself keep this car as long as possible! I was told Fords suck when I got this car! 😂💩🚘
Ford wants 400.00 for a head unit . Does anyone repair them ?? I believe the unit isnt ford !!!
Yo
Same issue on my ford kuga year 2015. No sound at all just happen few days ago. Ple post if anyone manage to fix the problem
I had the battery unplugged n replug and that fix it. 2 days so far
Did ever find a fix because my 2016 ford escape radio just did that
No I have not. I will update when I do.
Check the 25 fuse in the back of your trunk its a amp fuse
@@johnwilson7624 yes I checked all the fuses related to the radio and amp and all are fine.
Ford says they need a new module called an APIM. It's recalled but they only replace free if it's within the 1st 5 yrs the car was originally bought. It's extremely expensive as well.
I called ford headquarters with zero help. Then I called a local car sound and stereo business and they said they’ve seen this issue happening in Ford vehicles here regularly.. They said the stereos are all having to be sent to either atlanta or New York to be fixed and it runs about $400+. Ford won’t do anything about it (as in reimbursing the repairs) because it’s not a “safety recall”..
I think it’s super shady, because so many people are complaining about the same issue. Ford won’t fix it because it would cost them millions, but it’s an obvious flaw on the company’s part..
The stereo guy said even if they removed it instead of Ford and I bought an after market radio it would cost about the same thing..
This is irritating to say the least...
I'm having the same issue
