I like the paint one most . pass once over the tape with a good amount of the first colour (here would be white) and then put the next colour on top ( the gray) that way the bleed through under the tape will be the white and the gray will be a crisp and perfect line. Also invest in good tape. I like the frog tape.
I mean time is money...so is your sanity. Just buy frog tape, it's a bit pricey but we'll worth it if you want a clean line...also you will see the caulking through the paint I'm not sure that's gonna look so good
I use paint, or clear glaze, or Elmer's, or caulk, glue whatever I have available to me, but I tend to prefer paint and clear glaze because it doesn't leave that little weird tiny line and a peel point that the caulking gives.
We use this method on extremely high profile areas front/back doors. But for interior frames we just cut those edges of the frames in with wall colour. Super easy and the edge of the frame makes the line for you. Also for the 'real painters' y'all should know every painter does things differently 🙂
On the edge you used paint you didn't use enough paint because the other paint was able to bleed under it and that had nothing to do with anything other than application. Clear glaze works really well too.
I have tried many masking tapes I was painting a lot … that’s true that the more expensive ones are better as usually the frog one and scotch … but, there is one that I have tried recently that really surprised was a Blue Colour Duck Tape for exterior use, it’s one of those paints that you can’t part with your fingers you need scissors, it’s strong and shiny finish, it’s not Matt like other masking tapes, I got it in Homebase as this was the only tape that they had for sale, they sold out all masking tapes, but because I was desperate for change in my room I went with that one and I was really surprised, it’s a strong tape so it might rip of a bit of paint under but I have used cheap paint with stronger tougher paint I think issue would not be there, but the lines … wow, I was just not expecting it, unfortunately I got rid of the box so I can’t name exactly this tape, but if you ever see a strong blue shiny exterior duck tape that you need to cat with scissors… I think you should try for painting without any of these time consuming tricks 😊
DO NOT I REPEAT, do not use a “wet wipe” USE YOUR FUCKING FINGER. WET RAG IN ONE HAND, WIPING SAID FINGER ON SAID RAG TO KEEP SAID FINGER CLEAN AND MOIST. ALSO MINIMUM PRESSURE.
Thank you! Would love to see more

I hadn't thought of that!
Like the idea👍🏾
Now that is a clean look and saves so much time! Awesome

LOL!!!!! That's the best laugh I've had all week!
There is another way.
What is your better way? I’m interested for my striping project.

Good option
Paint is the way to go.
The best way to get a clean line is to not paint over the width of the tape. Try to paint between the lines.
You can't apply paint to wet caulk🤦♂️
Lol, yeah you can...all day. Learn the difference between non paintable silicone caulk and acrylic caulk.
Interesting. Guess I've been doing it wrong for 20 years.
be sure to use a what variety??
More!
Interesting
The L is silent in the word caulk
DO NOT I REPEAT, do not use a “wet wipe” USE YOUR FUCKING FINGER.

Good tip 👍
Why are you yelling?
How did you manage to do that poorly with tape?
Water? How does that work? 🤨
Caulking does work for a straight line on two textured walls.
Learn how to cut in & you don't need tape
Nope. Good tape and a little paint over the tape . Perfect every time
Not on textured walls… and “every time” is just flat out wrong.
@@TheMadJester159 post peoples ‘walls’ aren’t textured to the degree good rice paper tape won’t work
Cawlk
That’s only for unprofessional people. Real painters don’t need to put caulking in that line .
Best to use a clear silicone caulk.
Only real pro's do this
Too much work. Its already too much just taping
Second a heard wet wipe I know she’s zero decorating experience
It’s pronounced “cok”
No not really?
Lol is that what yer construction buddies told u? 😂
It’s not actually..
You’re saying it wrong
Or you could learn how to paint edges. Just saying.
Yeah, never do any of this.
its not pronounced caulk - its cork
I love how quickly you put this together so I have absolutely no chance to follow what you are doing. A HUGE thumbs down for you
