- Hilarious performance before his first mainstream film role, Taxi Driver.
Must be nice to have the kind of charisma that holds an audience in the palm of your hand like you do, Albert. The last movie I saw you in is Drive, with Ryan something. Jeez, you sure are a well rounded artist.
For a decade there I wouldn’t miss an Albert Brooks appearance.
For decades I've been half-remembering this routine, which demolished me the first time I heard it. My reaction today is more a feeling of warm sentimentality than the collapsing-in-helpless-laughter I felt back then. But I'm so very grateful you posted it and gave me the opportunity to experience it once more.
This might be the most insane thing I've ever seen. How to you sit there in front of an audience for 5 minutes doing this? He's not a piano player, not a singer. It's (obviously) so stupid; it's an amazing thing.
Did you ever hear his rendition of "Bolero"? Epic. You can probably RUclips it.
Love this Man. I did not know he could play and he sounds like he knows what he is doing. Great movies and so funny.
Albert Brooks is in a league of his own. 🌟
"a small town just outside of Iowa!" Hahaha!
It’s Charlie Waffles!
Mahalo for sharing. :-)
Genius,
Delphi is nice this time of year.
Hidden gem ?
