Garry Marshall is damn excellent in this scene. I think he would have been great in a Martin Scorsese movie (Casino being an obvious example.)

Everyone in the business and those that know quality entertainment and appreciate a genius when they see it, know how great this guy is.
He's actually considered the funniest man in entertainment by many of of his peers.
