What happens to the stock towing hitch? It looks like this jeep did not have one to begin with but will this installation "delete" the stock towing capability? I am aware the hitch on the bumper is not to be used for towing. Thanks.
On the front bumper did you have to relocate the vacuum pump? Also will is take 2018 led factory fog lights?
Does the tire carrier come with tools to install it? That's a big socket wrench. Does Quadratec do installs at the PA facility?
It does not come with the tools. Sorry.
Couple of questions here 1 do you need to add any wiring for the front bumper for the fog lights? 2 how heavy are they both or what's the total added to the vehicle with both bumpers and tire carrier added?
+Danny Hutchins The fog lights fit in with no additional wiring. the total shipping weight for the rear with tire carrier is 177 lbs, the front bumper 92lbs and the winch 78lbs. So roughly 347 lbs. That may be a little bit off because the numbers I have are shipping weight, so that includes packaging.
+Quadratec that's not bad at all actually I'm trying to decide between this one and the smittybuilt one obviously the smitty is a lot cheaper and jeeping is one expensive hobby haha
Any idea how hard it would be to install a winch AFTER the bumper has already been bolted on? I have this bumper but won't be adding the winch until a few months down the line. Would I need to remove the bumper in order to mount the winch?
No. You can install the winch with the bumper mounted to your Jeep. It's just a little tougher to reach the bolts.
how does it do for rust? Canadian salty winters
Question. Do you have to cut or drill the frame to instal the front bumper?
The only thing you might need to do is drill out one of the holes a little bit to get the stud through. but no cutting.
What lift is installed on this jeep?
What brand and size wheels are those? and where I can I buy some for my JK ?
They are procomp 7069 wheels in 17x9 we currently have plenty in stock. here is the link: www.quadratec.com/products/92819_2903_07.htm
Can you mount gaspacks to this rear??
Not the way it comes, but you could use a spare tire Rotopax mount: www.quadratec.com/products/12202_2100_07.htm
Thank you for the reply!!
When buying this bumper and winch combo, will it come with the winch mounting bracket?
it sure will.
i wish you guys spent a little more time showing how to pack the bearings, i read the directions and not too sure how to do it.
What about the third brake light?
+simon “tazmi1035” la ferriere We have several options for extended 3rd brake lights, For this project we will be using this plate light that has the 3rd brake light built in. www.quadratec.com/products/13107_41X_PG.htm
