I don't see anything wrong with including his mom in hair and makeup especially if she is including her own mom. It would have been rude not to include her but the honeymoon is for the bride and groom not the groom's mom. So what if she never had a wedding that is not the sons responsibility to give her one.
She probably didn’t want her getting ready with her because she doesn’t like the women. She doesn’t want her in her space on that day. Her mom is also helping her get ready.

I think he wants the kids on the honeymoon to give his mom a reason to be there. If he includes the kids, he can say my mom will take care of them, but if the kids are home , his wife is much less likely to agree for mom to third wheel.

The issue is more with the sons than the mothers because they’re allowing it. Any man who is fearful of settling boundaries with his mom is never going to keep a girlfriend or wife for too long. It’s unhealthy to have your mom and wife competing over each other. He could easily draw the line and be clear that he’s going to spend quality time with his wife and children as well as separate time together with his mom but he enjoys the mess of this situation. Regardless of looks, money, personality, someone who is overly and unhealthily attached to their mom when they’re a grown man is a big turn off for me personally.
I feel stressed out when I sense my mom and a person that I'm in a relationship are competing. Like my mom tells me that I'm the one that will always be there I am your mother. So is my dad but I don't see him doing that to my sister. I have to remind her that yes a mother's love is different than say someone you are romantically involved sometimes she denies that she does act like some of these moms not a full extent but certain behaviors.
Yeah, I agree. If you’re going to have to compete for a guy with his mother might as well just leave cause really you should be their everything not the mom, yes you should respect and love your mother but you shouldn’t Love your mother so much it makes your wife or girlfriend feel like she has to compete. This TV show was just too much. Some of these mother/son relationships were creepy, and it takes a lot to creep me out; I believe everyone is entitled to do what is right for them.

I don't have an issue with mother coming on the honeymoon as a babysitter, especially if they want their kids to be their. However, it needs to be an agreed upon decision by the both of them. The honeymoon is mostly for they woman, so it needs to be her saying she wants the responsibility of taking care of her kids and whether she wants a break. The mother should only be there if that's the case.

I think Brian does a better job than most on this show in maintaining an appropriate boundary… he wants his mom to feel pretty as well as his wife (who he obviously loves soooo much according to his reaction), and I think a family honeymoon in this scenario is actually adorable- they get their own time- and his mom gets to enjoy a nice vacation with the kids as well! They can have their own separate room, and the mom can watch the kiddos during the day too.
I don't think you get the purpose of a honey-moon emphasis on the honey meaning the husband and wife. And we all know that when they does a family honeymoon, the relationship between his mother and him will be more important than the relationship between his wife.

The mum is coming as a babysitter, she never asked to come he just wanted someone there he trusted to look after the kids. It's nice of the mum to agree to do that.
