This might be acting, idk, but this is a very real thing that happens. Unless the "man" (can be someone else clinging to aprons strings) is the one leading the charge for boundaries it is easy to form a wedge between the couple by making the "instigator" seem unreasonable and just jealous or dismissive of family dynamics... instead of it's being a reasonable expectation that others can have their own boundaries and expect that to be taken into consideration by their partner when deciding how to portray a united front.
That girl deserves the world. She's very respectful she has a lot of patiences.

No, it is not that. It is a cultural thing. She is from Aghanistan, and in their culture marriages are arranged. Her marriage was arranged and she would like the same for her son. She is not the only mother to feel that way though.

As a mom of a 36 year old boy I know how difficult it can be letting go of the reins but cmon we all go through it and accept the partner with open arms. This situation is pretty common in India as far as I have seen...mothers do control their sons since most of them live with their parents...there is no moving out like in the west...nowadays some move out for studies or work, but still the first place is parents not girlfriend or wife...most get arranged married...even after marriage, they behave this way...degrade their wives in front of their parents etc...

I dealt with a Mommy's boy and it took a little bit but he finally realized it was me or Mommy. Guess what mommy got over it or loose her son. She finally got with the program and my husband put his foot down be part of our life (possible grandchild) or not. She had to accept it!
