I got ptsd from watching this. One of the few games I had as a kid. I can feel my stomach tightening .. my fingers cramping .. heart pounding, cold sweats
There was a joke: HL2 was made by hundred of people, you can finish it in 8 hours. Doom (the old one) was made by dozen of people, you can finish it in 40 hours. Tetris was made by one person, you can finish it never.
So nostaligic, makes me laugh just watching it. I was so confused by this game when I was a kid, but it was always fun to play anyways. Never got too far...
Yes, I remember this game although I can't remember which platform I played it on. Its been years. Can't wait to replay it even if it's on an emulator.
just started playing this game recently, it's one of the many classics I missed growing up. I can make it to about the 1/2 way point of the game so far. It's fairly challenging imo
I added this game to my Mini NES, it was very good to play the very first five levels, but later the last two levels made of ice were too hard for me, luckly I finished the game and I felt really good. Probably my favorite NES game
One of the best games of my childhood! With the rocket, I was able to go to the last boss fight. I managed to go to the moon a few times. But why on earth wasn't I able to destroy that last foot? It looked so easy here...??
This was one of the hardest NES games I ever played. I still own it, so I should give it another try to see how bad I am at it after all these years. lol
I have also beaten both, while the last half of stage 10 is a fucking nightmare i'd still say Battletoads is a harder game. Many Rare games back in the nes days were tough, i'd recommend you to try another Rare title called Cobra Triangle which is just as difficult as Snake Rattle n Roll(although also very fun). That game i managed to beat as well, and i'd argue it's final boss puts those of Battletoads and Snake Rattle n Roll to shame. You should learn how the upgrade system works though, if you were to try it. It's flat-out impossible to get past some parts without the proper upgrades i believe.
Not sure if I'm pissed, or happy. I reached the last level before space, but never managed to get through that last door. Hard to believe that was the last normal level. So close to beating the game, but so close to a seriously shit ending.
The most difficult NES game I ever played. I don't know how I managed to finish it when I was a child (then without emulator and without saving option). :-O
Turbo controllers dont work in this game. At least not ones ive tried. Might work in emulation? Could be using TAS also? Personally in half way through competing every NES game using the real cartridges only and I have to say this is hardest game I've come up against yet. All because of that final bit of level 10. He makes it look easy hence my suggestion of TAS, which I apologise for if incorrect, but this a brutal game from level 9 onwards
All the hard work they must have done to program this game and they could not have made it into a cool action RPG? Instead, they make it into some game where you play as a snakehead killing things with your tongue.
I used to play this game for hours and hours on the old Nintendo when i was little.
I enjoy every minute of it.
Me too
Music was awesome. Used to play it just to listen to it.
eriksic the second level theme is running through my mind as I type this.
This game was sooo dope!!! The co-op 2 players was awesome! Difficulty on high levels was insane though.
So remember...if you're a snake, balls are good, hockey pucks are bad, and if you see a foot you have to lick it until it explodes.
And beware of jaws.
@@zavulon422 And jump in sewers.
There might be treasure!
Lmao good one!
25 years after first playing this game and I still don't understand it.
Gotta eat them nibbley pippleys
easy the goal is, get bigger, and find the exit, the bell open the gate and you have to be long enough to ring the bell.
explained in 2 words : nom noms.
I freaking love this game! It was one of my favorite games as a kid!

First co-op game I ever played. ahhhh nostalgia is great!
Snake Rattle and Roll for Super Smash Bros :)
I got my D\uck Hunt, so im down for some snakes :)
It actually looks really freaking fun! Imagine 2 players!
Love the music. It was the best reason to keep playing this thing 👍
I played this when I was a kid! oh the nostalgia! :D
finish COD one week, but 8 bits and only 2 buttons, 20 years later and I can't finish yet
wasting more than 30 min on cod. LOL.
There was a joke: HL2 was made by hundred of people, you can finish it in 8 hours. Doom (the old one) was made by dozen of people, you can finish it in 40 hours. Tetris was made by one person, you can finish it never.
I loved playing this game as a kid when I rented it from the video store. Just bought a copy off eBay for my retro trio system.
Raymond Aranda 60 or 70 I think. It plays Genesis, NES, and SNES.
So nostaligic, makes me laugh just watching it. I was so confused by this game when I was a kid, but it was always fun to play anyways. Never got too far...
this is golden nostalgia, thanx for uploading it
Yes, I remember this game although I can't remember which platform I played it on. Its been years. Can't wait to replay it even if it's on an emulator.
Always saw this game as a kid but never rented it. So the bad guy is a giant foot and the snakes are trying to get to space. So funny.
Looks fun. lol

Does anybody remember speeding through level 1 to the rocket ship that would transport you too the final level?
Wait, what?!
It doesn't take you to the end. It takes you to level 7
Yup, one of the coolest secrets in the game! 👌🏻
The sequel was indeed made, it's called Sneaky Snakes and it's for the Game Boy. Look up another video and you can see it in action.
Never saw this, looks pretty neat.
This game takes me back to my childhood.....such Nostalgia.
I was good up until after Level 4 - then things just became pure HELL!! lmao
For anyone why the music plays a 1/2 step flat, that's because this is the PAL (European) version of the game.
I added this game to my Mini NES, it was very good to play the very first five levels, but later the last two levels made of ice were too hard for me, luckly I finished the game and I felt really good. Probably my favorite NES game
RIP Rare
man your a legend at this game
Yes, it's was times of awesome games. Thanks for video.!
Omg i miss this!!!!
How do you reach that first clock on level 1?
One of the best games of my childhood! With the rocket, I was able to go to the last boss fight. I managed to go to the moon a few times. But why on earth wasn't I able to destroy that last foot? It looked so easy here...??
You gotta hit the final foot enemy constantly.
This was one of the hardest NES games I ever played. I still own it, so I should give it another try to see how bad I am at it after all these years. lol
This was my very first video game. I still can't beat it 😂😂
I've beaten this and Battletoads. I believe this game is harder thanks to stage 10.
I have also beaten both, while the last half of stage 10 is a fucking nightmare i'd still say Battletoads is a harder game. A lot of Nostalgia
damn, that iceworld is scary, i only ever got to the pools and ran out of time because i couldn't catch enough fish
Interesting. I found level 8 much easier than the previous two which I considered to be pretty hard. Then 9 and 10 are absurdly hard.
Not sure if I'm pissed, or happy. I reached the last level before space, but never managed to get through that last door. Hard to believe that was the last normal level. So close to beating the game, but so close to a seriously shit ending.
MoThanYouKnow I can relate, that ending is a slap in the face.
The most difficult NES game I ever played. I don't know how I managed to finish it when I was a child (then without emulator and without saving option). :-O
This game is basically Marble Madness, but you play as a villain.
This looks like a fun 2-player game.
I don't see why they couldn't make a 3D game based off this. It's essentially a platformer with item collection as a central element.
32:03 One of the worst moment of the history of video games... I'd never been able to carry off that way. XD
Loved it then, still looks fun but hard.
I love this game!
Gameplay level - god !
HAD THIS ONE ORIGINAL - NEVER PASS STAGE 3
I played this on the Rare Replay compilation. Six words came to mind: What The Fuck Do I Do?
You're clearly using turbo.
Turbo controllers dont work in this game. At least not ones ive tried. Might work in emulation? Could be using TAS also? The first 8 levels weren’t so bad after a few tries, but 9 was a royal PITA and I never saw level 10 and all I have to say is WTF!
love this game.
This was the second game I bought for nes, back in 85 my my my almost 35 years ago what the actual wtf
Why'd they even bother trademarking that title if they never made it?
Is this the PAL version? The music sounds different?
It's the story of two rock 'n roll loving snakes taking lots and lots of aci...er...nibbly pibbleys.
Snakes in Space > Snakes on a Plane
alguna vez salio el juego ese en el espacio?
All the hard work they must have done to program this game and they could not have made it into a cool action RPG? Instead, they make it into some game where you play as a snakehead killing things with your tongue.
How can you climb the last stairs in level 10 that easily ? Pleeeaaaase teach me !!!
Fight gravity!
I don't know if it's because Ive stopped smoking cannabins or the 16bit graphics just aren't as appealing as they used to be.
nes is 8bit tho.
This game actually looks pretty cool.
Dunno why I always avoided it.
I guess I'm asking about the wanda
i never got passed the last level befor
Heeeeeelp!!!! Scared from Snakes! Hääääääälp!!!!
I love snakes
What the key for
Stage layout reminds me of marble madness.
Time?
Hippiety hop!
la primera vez que lo jugué fue hace 18 años :')
8:14 I got trapped here. he just wouldn't die not matter how many times I hit him.
nostalgy)
