Guys, listen closely, there is a wifi camera version and a version without it. Even if you don't want a wifi camera I recommend you get that version because the version with no camera doesn't have altitude hold or automatic takeoff/landing. Sorry for the long comment.
Most honest review. 6min of flight time is what I get - depends on ur city’s altitude. It IS an indoor drone. Outside, it gets blown around by light winds. “It’s really made to fly above your head” - I agree 100%. It’s NOT made to reach the rooftops of multi-storey buildings. Also, DO NOT fly this near traffic.

I have a DJI Mavic Pro that I love but prefer not to fly in the house because it's way too noisy. I've tried a few mini / pocket drones and have been disappointed with the lack of stability. I got the S9W with the altitude hold feature and it's awesome! I can fly this inside my house without making too much annoying noise and with low risk of crashing. I like that it comes with propeller guards and that it has an emergency stop feature in the event of a crash. My only gripe with this is the smartphone application for fpv tends to crash frequently. Otherwise this drone is well worth the price.
Definitely get the non camera version of this. This thing's a little rocket with 3 speed modes. I've actually found it outside in the wind and in the high rate it has no troubles at all as long as you're staying on it. I never could get the app to work correctly if I was using my transmitter that came with it as well I could only use one or the other. So I ended up getting a few of the non camera versions just to have around for gifts and they are great
I bought the S9M model. Its around 35.00. It has Wi-Fi and the controller is much better. Built in cell holder. It comes with two 5 minute module type batteries w/charger. You need to be atleast 20 to 25 feet up to take pics or videos. Cons are. Its easy to loose a propeller. Check them often. There is a 30 day free return on Amazon. Im on no.2 swap. I like this drone for speeding around the yard. Very fast, pretty durable. But only in winds 10mph or less.

No problems at all at my end. If using Android, you just have to hold your finger on the WIFI icon on your phone until the WIFI screen pops up. Then force the phone to scan for networks by pulling down on the screen. Once you see the network for the drone, tap on it, and then open the App for the drone.

Did you notice any interference when using the controller and the app on the phone? I've seen another review where the phone app interfered with control of the drone from the controller.
James Williams No interference. My guess is the other reviewer was not familiar with technology. With the type of tech used in these drones you have to first connect to controller and then to App. If you do the opposite it won't work.

Peter Friedrichs Most of these drones have 1 cell batteries which take about 45 min to charge the first time. Each subsequent charge takes less time as long as you don't run the battery down. Flight time is between 5 & 6 minutes.
Is it possible to fly in home without keeping eye on drone itself, just with watching camera stream on phone? Or maybe there is a lag which makes this impossible? There was only few seconds when You had both drone and phone in front of camera and it was during lading so it is hard to get this from Your video.
qrkopl There is a very small amount of video lag. You could easily fly it around a house just looking at the video display. You'd just have to ensure you don't fly at full speed.
A lot of these drones are sold by many different distributors at different prices & sometimes they are even given different names, even though it is the same drone. The version I received only had what I showed within the unboxing. Perhaps the newer versions have the prop guards included (it should list what is in the box on all the different web sites).
It is a cool little drone. I have one and love it, but the on/off switch fell out of the drone after the second day and I can't get a reply from GearBest as to what can be done about it. I have tried their support page and there is no place to check a complaint ticket, even though I was issued a ticket number when I contacted them by email. I am beginning to feel ripped off.
I've never used the customer support at GearBest. Unfortunately I would guess that these drones are non-repairable due to the low cost to manufacture them.... what I mean is you can't send them in for repair. Either you repair them yourself or a replacement is sent to you.

Odd, if it is a problem with the App it could be a conflict with your phone or tablet. Try the App on another device. I had it running on my Android Note 8 phone (same as all the other drone's demo'd). Everything works perfectly with no issues.

Can someone tell me how to switch the controller the way your drone will go ? If I try to make it come forward it goes backwards and if I take it right it goes left I have another drone that the controller does the same thing

You'd have to convert the file to a different format. For me, I converted the files on my computer to a format that I could watch. I used the VLC program (free to download).

It will fly about 20 meters high if there is no wind. Distance is about 30 to 50 meters if there is no interference. 6 Minute battery.

It depends which store you buy it from. It does not cost very much so I don't think many stores have a warranty for it.
