Had the chance to test fly this little foldable pocket drone. It's called the Dobby from Zerotech and it's surprisingly quick. It's capable of being flown indoors or outdoors.

bahrta sai Yeah, I understand you... I only said that "it's more pocket" and thus it is more advanced built what means it will be more expensive. It is not plastic and it has a camera. Companies such as this one are new on the market an they want to get much more money on products they have, but they are really worth much less... When it will take some time their prices will probably fall.
I think things like this are for peaplo who simply have money for toys like this drone.
I agree with you in 100% - i don't like spending too much, but i spend it for decent things. I have a parrot minidrone and i love it :D it is really good indoors but i didn't try it outdoors yet. I don't need more B-)

Freaking cool! It honestly looks better moves better than some other drones I have seen. I love the blue light the model looks more futuristic than the other drones.

So what are the downsides?
its $400.
Its flight time is only 9 minutes.
Its charge time is 25 minutes.
You can't change the vertical angle of the camera in flight.
Its high definition video record time seems to be limited to 10 seconds.
Its not necessarily bad, just know what you're getting.
But hey, it can ft in your pocket so we'll charge u $400 or something

BatmanVsSombies Its "tactical" in the sense that 4 screeching, hornet buzzing blade/motor combinations, a fixed front camera, an all white design and the limited range of your phone's wifi can be considered "tactical".
So, to be clear, its about as tactical as a clown carrying a boombox waving around lit roman candle's.

To be fair, I would actually like this guy's show without all the hype and "trying to be cool" bullshit.
As it is it just comes off as "shill who is too rich for his own good and massively more obvious and annoying than he thinks he is".
I mean I still watched it. At about half the price, which I think would be more reasonable given its capabilities, I'd probably buy it.
htomerif you are assuming that the drone will fly in an open space. tactical doesn't have to be always undetectable, but more of a situational use where you can deploy and conceal the drone easily. I am not saying that this drone is better or worse than phantom 3/4 because they're not the same. You don't have to compare a family size sedan to a Lamborghini super car because they have different use.
BatmanVsSombies eh, you're right. In a combat environment and given *no alternative*, this thing would be really useful.
I guess the point of my comment was that the only way this is more tactical than literally any other camera drone is that you can cram it in your pocket.
Actual tactical observation devices fly faster, farther, longer, further from the operator, higher and have more camera flexibility. They also weigh 10 times as much, are *much* louder and come cases that push the definition of "portable".
So yeah, it would probably make a good "Improvised Tactical Drone".

All of these 400-500 USD drones are a waste of money in my opinion. They're generally smaller and have weaker motors that can't handle the wind and the cameras aren't good enough that you'd want to share the footage. They're fun for about 15 minutes and then stay on the shelf for the rest of their life. It's really better to just save up and get a better drone.

agreed. i sell drones at work, and the cheaper ones - sub 1200 or so, are all shit. the good ones, DJI and YUNEEC are both WAAAYYY better, and you get a hell of a lot more bang for your buck. having said that, Parot's two newest ones, the "swing" (it's a fucking x-wing but they can't legally call it that lol) is pretty fun for sub 200, i believe it's FPV compatible to and fly's at high speed, and then the mambo has a "cannon" again, legally can't say it "shoots" though lol) with 6 shots and a grabbing arm attachment lol

I think your a little mislead, you can get a similar size quad but it's going to be PNP(plug n play) in which you have to provide a TX&RX and recording camera GoPro or similar and they actually run more close to $100 for cheap one.

there is a $25 drone named "JXD 523", it is very similiar to the one shown in the video.
edit : if you're looking for a small drone, don't buy the one shown in the video, buy the Dji Tello, it's around $99, cheap and good. You won't regret it. It's a nice drone for beginners.
